Mona Pendleton | Monday, July 30, 2012 @ 10:00 PM | , , , , ,

Hi there! Welcome to an all new Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge! Allison is our
hostess and she is challenging us to CASE one of Flourishes DT Members from ANY of the Flourishes DTs.
This challenge will be my last as a FTTC DT Member and to show my appreciation for having the opportunity to be part of such a talented and friendly DT, I CASED none other than the Owner of Flourishes / Jan Marie Caruso

Shown below is Jan Marie's beautiful card:

and here is my CASED version of Jan Marie's card:
I chose this card because not only is it oh so pretty but it features the pretty floral pennant image from Flourishes Birthday Pennants set - one of my all time faves - that coordinates with Spellbinders Nested Lacey Pennants. The sweet sentiment is from Flourishes Hydrangea set. I added a few Melissa Frances bitty blossoms and a butterfly embellishment made using a Martha Stewart punch.
Thanks so much for visiting! I hope you ink up your Flourishes stamps and join in the fun!
Please be sure to visit the Flourishes blog for complete details and for some fabulous inspiration visit our July Guest Designer: Patti Gilliam and the entire DT: Heather,

Next Tuesday will be my last challenge post as a FTTC DT member and I've had such a wonderful experience :) I owe many thanks to Jan Marie for such a wonderful opportunity as well as to Julie and I must say the many Flourishes DT's are nothing short of super talented and kind! Hello! It's Tuesday, so time for a new Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge! This week's challenge is all about getting "sentimental" and using a sentiment as the centerpiece of your card or creation.
Today, we are ushering in this challenge because not only is Flourishes releasing a new single stamp set with a beautiful sentiment, we are helping Jan Marie, the owner of Flourishes launch her new blog! Want a peek at the new sentiment?
Here's my sample using this new beautiful sentiment:
The stamp is called Sweetness of Friendship and it takes on the mantra of Jan Marie's new blog - a place where friends can gather to enjoy the laughter and sharing of pleasures (in creating!) The stamp set is available right now and you can check it out in the Flourishes Store HERE It's a beauty as you can see:
What's even more fun? Jan Marie is giving away this stamp to the first 25 people who leave comments on today's post over on her new blog.
Thanks so much for looking! We can't wait to see what you create when you put a sentiment at the center of your creation! Please be sure to see what the FTTC DT has created using the new sentiment: Patti Gilliam and the entire DT: Heather, Makiko, Cindy, Amanda, Denise, Allison and the Flourishes Senior DT: Barbara, Beate, Christine, Cindy L,

Celebrate...FTTC176 44

Mona Pendleton | Monday, July 2, 2012 @ 10:00 PM | , , , , ,

Hi there! Welcome to an all new Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge! This week Maki is our lovely hostess and the theme she chose is "All about the summer!" ~ create a card/project focusing on a Summer theme.
When I think of Summer, I automatically think of celebrating the 4th of July so I ran with that in mind and created a mini home decor piece combining Flourishes stamps, various Spellbinders dies and fun patterned paper from the Pink Paislee Declaration collection.
I inked up celebrate sentiment and the floral pennants from the Flourishes Birthday Pennants stamp set (one of my all time faves)!
and finished it off a few roses made using a Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms die:
Thanks so much for visiting! I hope you have a Happy 4th of July if you celebrate! Please be sure to see I hope you ink up your stamps, especially ones from Flourishes and join in the fun! Believe, Wish, Dream...FTTC175 47

Mona Pendleton | Monday, June 25, 2012 @ 10:00 PM | , , , , , ,

Hello! It's time for a brand spankin' new Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge! In case you missed the post on the Flourishes blog, there are lots of changes going on! click HERE for complete details. Included with those changes are as follows: we are saying farewell to both Silke and Beate and we are welcoming both Denise Marzec and Allison Cope!

This week, Silke is our lovely hostess and she is challenging us to create using our *FAVORITES* ~ Use your favorite Spellbinder Die with your favorite Flourishes Stamp Set and add your favorite embellishments!!! I took it one step further and used some of my favorite Pink Paislee patterned paper from the London Market collection.
This challenge was REALLY tough for me because Flourishes has sooooo many awesome stamp sets, to narrow it down to one is nearly impossible! I wanted to create a mixed media canvas so I opted to use a few of my favorite sentiments from the Flourishes Pears stamp set (one of my faves).
I stamped the "Never Lose..." sentiment on a piece of Flourishes Classic Ivory card stock, cut using a die from Spellbinders Grommet Tags (one of my faves)
I enjoy creating my own flowers so I pulled out a Spellbinders Bitty Blossom die (another of my faves) and did just that!
I used a bird cage and bird die from the Spellbinders Bird Sanctuary set (another fave) to create a few embellishments. It is hanging from a branch that was cut using a die from Spellbinders Mix'd Media Elements (yep, another fave :)
I hope you ink up your stamps, especially ones from Flourishes and join in the fun! Please be sure to visit the Flourishes blog for complete details and for some fabulous inspiration visit our June Guest Designer: Alice Wertz and the entire DT: Heather, Silke, Makiko, Cindy, Beate, Amanda, Denise and Allison!post signature

Just A Note...FTTC174 45

Mona Pendleton | Monday, June 18, 2012 @ 10:00 PM | , , , ,

Hi there! It's time for a new Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge! This week Cindy is our lovely hostess and the challenge theme she chose is "From the Desk"... In other words, make notecards, a monogrammed card... whatever you may find on your desk.
I made a rather clean and simple card. I stamped a beautiful image from Flourishes Summer Blossoms on a piece of Flourishes Ivory card stock, cut using a Spellbinders Oval die then colored with an assortment of Copic markers.
I layered the colored image on a piece of newsprint patterned paper that was cut using a Spellbinders Labels Eleven die then finished it off with a few drops of Perfect Pearls:
I hope you ink up your stamps, especially ones from Flourishes and join in the fun! Please be sure to visit the Flourishes blog for complete details and for some fabulous inspiration visit our June Guest Designer: Alice Wertz and the entire DT: HeatherSilkeMakikoCindyBeateAmanda

Hi there! It's time for a new Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge. This week Heather is our lovely hostess and she is challenging us all to create a Father's Day themed card/project.
I made a rather clean and simple card using a sweet silhouette image and sentiment from the Flourishes Father's Day set along with fun patterned paper from the Pink Paislee Prairie Hill collection.
For sketch inspiration, I played along with the current retro sketches challenge:

Happy Anniversary...FTTC172 66

Mona Pendleton | Monday, June 4, 2012 @ 10:00 PM | , , , , ,

Hi there! It's time for an all new Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge! Thanks to all who joined along last week :) This week, Amanda is our lovely hostest and she is challenging us all to create a WHITE card/project with LACE and/or PEARLS.
What a challenge for patterned paper / color loving kind of crafty gal! My dear husband Scott and I will be celebrating our 8th year Wedding Anniversary next week, so I used this challenge to create an elegant but not too frilly card for him :)
I stamped both the sentiment from Flourished Words, which by the way is unfortunately retired and the gorgeous heart from Fanciful Flourishes on a piece of Vellum then heat embossed using fine white embossing powder. Speaking of retired stamp sets, Flourishes will be unveiling their retired list soon, so if there are some sets you want, you will want to stay tuned before you miss out on the opportunity! Once they're gone ~ they're gone! I used a Spellbinders Classic Heart die template to cut the heart shape. Except for the Vellum, the ENTIRE card was made using Flourishes beautiful, heavy weight White Card stock.
For sketch inspiration, I played along with iSpy Sketches:
Here's a photo from our wedding day taken 8 years ago on June 15th on the beautiful island of St. Lucia. We were laughing so hard because Scott has a couple bulging discs in his back from years of playing high school and college football, he nearly dropped me in the water!
I've NEVER made an ALL white card before so I thoroughly enjoyed this challenge!
