Hi Girls! TGIF! :) I am super excited the weekend is here because this is the start of my vacation. :) I created this card for my girlfriend Dianne and her husband, Tellis expressing my sympathy for their loss. Tellis came to the US more than 40 yrs ago as a high school foreign exchange student from Kedhares, Cyprus. When the school year had ended, Tellis had to return to Cyprus to fulfill his obligation to the Greek military for 2 years. Upon completion, he returned to the US & that is when Dianne met him. They have been married for more than 25 years! Dianne, of Polish descent, from Pennsylvania meets the love of her life, Tellis from Kedhares, Cyprus in Phoenix, AZ! :) Anyhow, Tellis's "American" mother passed away this week at the age of 94. This card is for the both of them. I incorporated the SU colors Elegant Eggplant, Barely Banana & Bordering Blue from the Color Throwdown #44 Challenge. As always, thank you for visiting my blog. Comments are ALWAYS appreciated! :) Be Sweet! Until next time...

Hi Cyber Girl Friends! :) Are you all ready for Summertime? Maybe a trip to the beach, wearing your favorite pair of flip flops! :) With that thought in my mind, I created this card. It is officially the first week of summer vacation here in Phoenix for my son and step-kids! :) We will be driving to San Diego for our annual summer "kid" vacation on Saturday, so hopefully we will "find joy in the little things." :) The colors used are SU Pumpkin Pie, Bashful Blue, So Saffron from the Splitcoast Color Challenge #220. Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog and browse. Please feel free to leave a comment! :) Be Sweet! Until next time...

Hi Girls! I survived the CRAZINESS of the TWO pre-teen & teenager pool parties this weekend! ;) Not one crumb left over from TWO dozen of cupcakes, ONE dozen of White Chocolate Macadamia Nut & ONE dozen of Chocolate Chunk cookies & EIGHT bags of various chips! :) Those kids can really eat!!! Thankfully, I have the day off from my REAL job, (the one that supports this hobby / paper addiction :), so I gathered some ingredients including sprinkles & started creating! :) My inspiration for this card comes from the Raspberry Suite Color Challenge - Week 6 that can be found at www.DAWNMCVEY.TYPEPAD.COM & from the Challenge 51 Buttons Galore than can be found atwww.aspoonfullofsugarchallenge.blogspot.com I stamped my own Designer Paper starting with a white sheet of CS, randomly stamping a bird image using VersaMagic's Sea Breeze Chalk Ink, then heat embossing with clear embossing powder. Repeating these steps with the other stamps & colors used. I love heat embossing with VersaMagic Chalk Ink because its consistancy is so thick & moist. Perfect for embossing! Please feel free to leave a comment telling me what you think of my creation! :) Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog. Be Sweet! Until next time...

Hi Everyone! I finally had the chance to make the coordinating purse/gift bag to hold the cards for my girlfriend! I was inspired by Becky's Top Note Purse Tutorial found at http://inkingidaho.blogspot.com. I needed a gift bag to hold standard 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" cards, so I got a little creative with the Cricut Expression, and altered her directions to make this size purse. I think this purse is so versatile, I call it "My Little Purse of Plenty!" I am sure it will look great in any color scheme and decorated for any occasion! I am looking forward to making this in many colors and blinged out! If anyone is interested in the altered directions for this size purse, please let me know and I will then post them! I hope you like it! As my mother-in-law would say, "Be Sweet!" Until next time...

My blog got a Facelift! Hi Everyone! I am very happy that my DH helped me update and spruce up my blog! What do you think? I hauled a few of my favorite items outside for the photoshoot! (smiles) It was very difficult to narrow down the supplies to put in that photo because I really love and use a lot of different stuff! I surely could have filled up that table! I am hoping that I will get my act together and make some tutorials pertaining to scrapbooking and cardmaking in the near future! Until then, I will just continue posting creations that I have made to share.
Celebration Card continued! I made these two cards to coordinate along with the birthday card for my girlfriend's niece. I am going to make a set of these cards, 2 of each, along with a coordinating gift bag. I haven't gotten around to the bag yet, hopefully tomorrow after work! I hope you like them! Until next time...

Spring Fling! Hi everyone! I am trying something new with the way I format posts. Please feel free to leave a comment and let me know if you have any thoughts to share! It is very sunny and warm (70 degrees or so) here in Phoenix today, so I had spring colors on my mind once again. The color combination in this card is very cheerful and can be used for various occasions. Simply changing the stamped image in the large flower embellishment with a "Welcome Baby" stamp, I used it to accompany a baby girl's shower gift. I hope you like it. Until next time...
Supplies used:
Stamps:SU Cause for Celebration, Hero Arts Message Circles
Paper:Die Cuts With A View spring stack, SU Tempting Turquoise, SU So Saffron, SU Pixie Pink, SU Whisper White, Bazzill Petal Soft

My Sweet Valentine! Here we are already thinking about the sweet people in our life. I love the way pink, green and brown look together. This card is made on Bazzill Petal Soft CS. There is three layers of CS, SU Chocolate Chip, Die Cuts With A View White, and Die Cuts With A View patterned paper from a Spring stack. In case anyone hasn't noticed, multi-layering is one of my favorite things to do! The middle section is made with SU Wild Wasabi CS and a piece of Die Cuts With A View White CS that is embossed using Cuttlebug a2 heart blocks. All the die cuts are made using Spellbinders Nestabilities scalloped circles and Flower Creations 3. All stamped images are from SU sets including Sweet On You, using VersaMagic chalk ink and embossed with Jo-Ann Craft Essentials clear powder. I assembled all the embellishments, adhered them to the card and finished it by attaching 3 Jo-Ann Craft Essentials antique brads. Be Sweet!
Still stampin away! I love this snowflake patterned paper from Die Cuts With A View that I used as my background. This card is made from SU Pixie Pink CS. I used Bazzill Red Robin CS and a white piece of Bazzill CS for the borders. I cut the white borders using Spellbinders Nestabilities scalloped rectangle die. (one of my favorites!) I really have been into embossing lately, so you will probably get tired of it! I just love the way it looks! All images are stamped with SU stamps including the Perfect Presentation set, inked with VersaMark chalk ink, then embossed with Jo-Ann Craft Essentials clear powder. I then cut the scalloped circles using Cuttlebug Flower dies out of SU Certainly Celery, Garden Green, Pixie Pink and Bazzill Red Robin CS. Paper piercing the scalloped flower edges just gives a bit more detail. I applied the final embellishments: Making Memories crystal brads and SU silver cord to finish off the card. Stay Warm!
The clock is ticking! I have been busy, stamping the night away, making more Christmas cards for my buddies! This card is made using SU Old Olive CS. Bazzill Red Robin CS is used to make the borders and one of the scalloped circles. The white scalloped border and Old Olive rectangle is made with a Spellbinders Nestabilities rectangular die. I stamped all the images using SU Perfect Presentation stamp set images with VersaMagic inks then embossed them using Jo-Ann Craft Essentials clear powder on SU Whisper White CS. Using a 7/8" EK Success circle punch, I punched the pointsettia images out, then adhered them on the various colored Cuttlebug Flower die cut pieces. I used SU Certainly Celery, Pink Passion, and Old Olive CS. I jazzed up the flower embellishments with Making Memories crystal brads, some paper piercing, and added a bow using SU silver cord. The patterned CS is from a Die Cuts With A View Christmas stack. Another simple yet sophisticated card, I think? Hope you like it!
Time To Deck the Halls! I am going to kick off my holiday card season with this SU Season of Joy set. The vibrance of the images are very eye pleasing. This was achieved by stamping with VersaMagic chalk inks and embossed with clear Jo Ann powder on SU Whisper White CS. I layered the image on SU Pink Passion CS then on a scalloped rectangle cut with Spellbinders Nestablilites die in SU Old Olive CS. For a little extra touch, I added a bow using a piece of SU silver cord at the bottom of the rectangle. The patterned background CS came from a Die Cuts With A View Christmas stack. I think the colors all compliment each other so well. The snowflakes and flower are stamped with SU images, embossed, then punched out with the use of an EK Success 3/4" circle and 1/2" circle. All the flowers are cut using the Cuttlebug Flower set and paper pierced. The Making Memories crystal and silver brads add a little something extra! The white scalloped edging is made using the Spellbinders scalloped rectangle set and layered on top SU Bravo Burgandy CS. This card is made with SU Old Olive CS. I am off to a good start!
Glitter Galore! Christmas is right around the corner! I have been gathering all my Christmas stamps to begin the holiday stamping frenzy. This card appears to be simple, yet I think it is very elegant. This card is stamped on SU Tempting Turquoise CS, layered with White Die Cuts With A View CS that is embossed with Cuttlebug a2 snowflakes embossing folder. The blue glittery CS came from a Die Cuts With A View Christmas stack. I stamped the tree image with VersaMark ink, then applied SU Heat and Stick powder, then sprinkled with Martha Stewart silver glitter. I used the SU Cute and Curly stamp set and punch to make the Merry Christmas tag. The image was stamped using VersaMark, then embossed with Martha Stewart silver powder. I finished off the card with a couple Making Memories brads and SU silver cord. I think this card is very shimmery and glittery! Merry Stampin!
Happy Thanksgiving! Wow, I can not believe it is turkey time already! I made this card to wish my family and friends a happy thanksgiving holiday. This card is made from SU Mellow Moss CS with another beautiful paper layered on top from Heidi Grace. I really love the variety of colors in this patterned paper that match so well with SU colors! It screams East Coast fall foliage! The SU More Mustard was embossed using Cuttlebug emboss a2 pumpkin harvest embossing plate. I cut the biggest scalloped circle out of SU Bravo Burgandy CS, the next layer was punched with EK Success 2" scalloped circle punch, and the innermost circle was punched with EK Success 1 3/4" punch. The stamped "Happy Thanksgiving"image was made with a Studio G $1 stamp that I purchased at Michael's (I love those $1 bins)! I then cut the smaller scalloped circles with the Cuttlebug Flower die set using the following SU CS colors: Mellow Moss, Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip, and Close to Cocoa. For the final touch, I stamped the leaf images from the Autumn Stamp Kit by The Paper Company Studio with The Essential Glue Pad, sprinkled on Martha Stewart glitter, punched the images out using EK Success 3/4" circle punch, assembled the pieces with 3M double sided tape, and attached the JoAnn Scrap Essentials antique brads. I hope my friends are happy to receive this one!
This Halloween card is my first card posted on my new blog! I am so excited I finally got it together! Hopefully, my blog will only get better! I made this Halloween card for my co-workers and friends. This card is made from SU Only Orange CS. The SU Lovely Lilac borders are with the Cuttlebug a2 embossing border with love. Other SU CS used was: Summer Sun, Certainly Celery, Green Galore and Elegant Eggplant. The stamped images are from the SU Bitty Boo Too stamp set on SU Whisper White CS using VersaMagic Chalk inks and embossed with JoAnn Craft Essentials clear embossing powder. I punched the images out with a EK Success 3/4" square punch then layered each using EK Success 1" square punched CS. I pierced around the square scalloped edges then adhered the images and squares together with 3M double sided tape. With all my pieces assembled, I then adhered them to the Heidi Grace orange striped CS. My final steps included attaching two black JoAnn Craft Essential brads and stamping the sentiment on the inside. Hope you like it! Trick or Treat!
