I had my second doctors appointment yesterday! Again, I thought the doc was going to say it was just gas or something. I was still having a hard time believing it was true! I went in expecting to only hear the heartbeat and the doc flipped on the screen and there was my baby! Last time it was just a little flutter that you couldn't make out at all. This time. . . this time it was a baby! We saw the little face and the little hands up by it's little face! It was so unreal! Of course I started crying and Sean just smiled ear to ear. I am slightly a bit more convinced that it's true now! Haha! This is something I wasn't sure I would ever experience, by choice. I went my whole life thinking children weren't for me. Everyone thought I was nuts, even I questioned myself, but I felt pretty strongly about it. Then about a year ago I was overwhelmed with a feeling a can't describe, but I knew I should have a baby. Weird. Now that it's happening, I couldn't be more excited. Sean has wanted kids since the day I met him. When I told him I wasn't sure about that, I think he pushed the thought aside and just accepted it. Now that he is going to be a daddy, I'm not sure I've ever seen him more excited!
So back to the appointment ~ After he switched the screen off, he realized that we were only suppose to listen to the heartbeat and not do the whole ultrasound! Haha! Bonus for us! So then he switched the machine back on and turned on the audio and we got to see it again AND hear the heartbeat! I don't understand why it's such a big deal to have
an ultrasound every time. It took no time at all and it wasn't this long drawn out procedure. They should definitely do every time. It eases a mother's mind and makes all that much better! Anyway, that particular machine didn't have a printer so we weren't able to get pictures. I go back in 4 weeks though and hopefully by then they can tell us that it's a GIRL and we can get a printout!
This is my third month. There is a definite belly there! I was even trying to suck it in and it was not happening!

The Tattoo
OK! Apparently I need to post about this because ya'll are crazy! Yes. I did get a big ol' tattoo on the inside of my right arm. Your eyes are not deceiving you. I got it a couple months ago while Sean was out of town. It was a surprise to him. I always told him I wanted to get it (although I thought I was going to put it down my side) and it seemed to be perfect timing. Sean has a tattoo on his back that says the same thing and as soon as I saw it, it instantly meant so much to me. I loved it. It says LOVE DESIRE SACRIFICE. I decided to put it on my arm so I could see it. I didn't want to forget about it. What's the point of of getting it somewhere where I can't constantly be reminded of it? I love the tattoo, but I convinced the guy that did it was on drugs. I actually have to get it fixed and finished (shaded in and all that). I don't know when that will be. It was the worst pain I've ever gone though, EVER! As I was getting it I actually said, while I was crying, " This is the worst pain ever! I don't think I'll ever have kids because I can't handle it!" Then 3 days later I found out I was pregnant! Haha!
Enjoy the pics of me going through the most awful thing ever, thus far. I don't have any pictures of it up close and finished, but I will try and work on that for everyone!

Updates! I Know, It's Been A While!
Update 1. I'm almost 12 weeks along! I go in for my 12 week checkup next Tuesday! So more to tell about the baby then! As far as the pregnancy as a whole - everything is going well. The first picture there is me in my first month. The second one below is about 3 months. I still get a bit sick when I don't eat immediately, but other than that, I feel good. My boobs really are getting huge (for me) and they hurt still. I've gained 4 pounds already and it's all in my butt waist! My skinny jeans don't do up! That I could handle, they are skinny jeans, I get it. I'm not skinny anymore. The sad thing is that my regular work pants don't do up! I tried to justify it by saying I put them in the dryer by accident on high heat, but the truth is they are meant for someone 4 pounds lighter! HAHA!
Update 2. My hair has changed drastically! I'm now a very dark brunettish red. I kept a bit of blond in the front to feel like I still had a piece of me! I had to go dark so my roots weren't so bad. It's not so great to slather bleach all over your scalp while your pregnant so I had to! This way I can get away with going longer without coloring my hair. I know that they say it's probably ok to color it, but I'm just one of those girls that would like to stay away form anything that could POTENTIALLY do anything but good. I'm sure I'll color it when necessary, but I'd like to do it as little as possible! WHATEVER all you people laughing at me! WHATEVER!
Update 3. Sean and I are always looking at houses. We want to buy, but don't know when that will be. We look all the time though! So this past Sunday we were driving around and he remembered a neighborhood one of his friends told him about down past Maryland Pkwy. My first thought was " GHETTO! " But we went anyway and ended up finding the coolest looking houses! There was an open house at one of them so we went in for kicks. These houses were built in the 60's and were awesome! This particaular house was my favorite ever! The backyard is what I actually fell in love with. You could've built an enitire new house in the backyard! I loved it! The layout was one that you'll never find in a new house ever! The greatest part was that it had a ton of original appliances and accesories from the 60's! Including the original pukey green/yellow shag carpet! OK, so if we were to actually buy the house I would update everything and make it modern, but the point is it was cool to see! So one of the funniest accesories was the toilet seats! I took a quick pic of one of them as I laughed hysterically. I didn't want the woman who was showing the house to think I was making fun, so I just snapped one really fast! Enjoy!
