Happy Easter

This was Ryiah's first real Easter. Last year she was only a couple weeks old so it didn't count! I thought the egg hunt would be pointless because she wouldn't really get it, but as soon as she saw the first one and shook it open finding yogurt drops, she was on the go! She knew there was something in each one so she would find it and sit down and bust it open! It was pretty entertaining to watch her!

She and I had both spotted another egg!

Happy 1st Birthday, Ryiah!!!

Ryiah's 1st birthday came and went very quickly! Sean was in town for her actual birthday which was March 25th. So we did a little present opening and she got to have her very first cake! It wasn't a big production, but it was perfect! We had a little party for her on Saturday, but Sean wasn't able to stay for it. I'll get those pictures up as soon as I get them!

I've never seen a more perfect first cake eating! Ryiah didn't even hesitate. She didn't wonder what it was or look at me with that "can I actually do this" look. She wasn't prissy and dainty with it. She dove right in. She tipped the plate up to shove it in her own face a couple times and I had to catch it! Some people are saying it's because I choose not to feed her much sugar and so all she had to do was smell the sweet goodness and it was all over!

These next pictures are from her birthday party! Lucky little lady got to have two cakes!

She wasn't as happy this day because it was her nap time...so mommy had to help make a mess of her and she didn't really appreciate that!
