Bad Dreams

Last night Ryiah started screaming in her sleep, "Let me out! Let me out!" over and over! I ran in her room and saw she was still asleep and having a bad dream. I picked her up and calmed her down, but she was still scared so she got to sleep with mommy the rest of the night (that is never a good night sleep for mommy).
Well, this morning Ryiah woke up and said she had sweet dreams and that everything was fine. Then about 30 minutes later, she started saying that she was crying and the sharks was getting her and she was so scared but then she stopped crying and it was all better. Ha! Mommy saved her from the shark! :)

Ryiah and I just took a walk in the backyard around the pool and talked about how she was going to learn to swim this summer. When we came inside I sat down to work and about 10 minutes later, she came up and said, " I can swim! I can swim! " I said, "Not until the water is nice and warm." Then, what she said next left me amazed by her (again). Ryiah said, " In just my diaper. I swim in my floaty." Now, That may not seem impressive until you realize that she is remembering that from LAST summer! We have not talked about or been around the pool or anything to do with swimming since last summer. So she pulled that from her 1 year old memory! She hasn't worn diapers in months, so it's crazy to me that she is thinking back and remembering exactly how we went swimming so long ago!

I love this little girl. Not a day goes by that she does not leave me speechless and jaw dropped with the things she is capable of! I hope and pray every day that I can be a good mother to her and teach her the things will lead her life in a positive direction. I know it won't be long before she actually does know more than me and I am learning from her!

No Snow But A Lot Of Coco!

Ryiah and I went to Mount Charleston to play in the snow. Unfortunately, there wasn't any! So we went to the lodge and had a hot chocolate instead. Ryiah was in heaven when she saw it come out piled high with whipped cream!

KA

Julie came home for Christmas and we got to hang out for a night of fun! A friend of mine gave us free tickets to KA at the MGM! So of course we took advantage of a night out with no kids! I love this girl.

Not sure what the point of this picture is.

This was suppose to turn out looking super cool, but...

Typical picture of us...Julie looking perfect and me looking like a dork.
