C'est Magnifique March Sketch~!

Hi everyone!  It's time for us to post the sketch we will be using for our March challenge at C'est Magnifique. Thanks once again to Michele Singh for creating this beautiful sketch for us.  She's awesome!

Here is the sketch we will be using in March, and also a look at how I used the sketch, along with our March Kit, which has already sold out.

 "Boys"

This past summer my oldest, along with a friend and his cousin, spent much of the afternoon out in the woods searching for mushrooms. Boy, did they get dirty- but they had a blast doing it and so it was worth it .

When working with these kits, I always like to try and find a different way of using things. On this particular project, I took apart the Snowbell flower from Manor House Creations, and used the stamen to accent my Maya Road flower and I also used some of the petals underneath it. Just one way to change up the look of something!

Now it's your turn to give it a try.  The sketch challenge is open to everyone - you don't have to be a member of our kit club.  You can interpret the sketch any way you want, but we do want to look at your layout and be able to tell you used the sketch.  But feel free to flip it on its side, or turn it upside down if that's what works best for you.

We will be offering two prizes, awarded randomly to participants in our Sketch Challenge.  The first prize is this beautiful assortment of paper, embellishments, and chipboard!  The winner of this prize package will also be able to shop in the C'est Magnifique Store, and have their purchases sent with the prize package, so that means you won't have to pay for shipping charges!

Our second prize, a $10 gift certificate to the C'est Magnifique Store,  will be awarded randomly to one of our participants who obviously uses one of our kits to create their Sketch Challenge layout. 

We will also chose 5 (or maybe more) layouts to feature on our blog!  

And you have the entire month of March to submit your layout.

What do you have to do to enter our sketch challenge?

1.  You must be a follower of our blog.  It's easy to become follower -see the left sidebar.

2.  Create a layout using the sketch, and add it to our blog using the Inlinkz tool at the bottom of the post.  Please link to the blog post where you have uploaded your layout  (not your general blog address). If you do not have a blog, you may link to an online gallery.

 Deadline for entering the sketch challenge is midnight, March 31 (US time).

C'est Magnifique March Kit Reveal~!

Hey! I hope you all had a great weekend and are off to a great start this week. Monday was rough for the kids and myself- to start with. Everyone was up early and was crabby as could be- but thanks to some beautiful weather, I was able to get them all outside which seemed to recharge and refresh us all! Here's hoping today goes just as well :).

But I don't want to hold you up with TOO much chatter- as we have a bit of a post to get through :). Today is reveal day at C'est Magnifique, and we're celebrating the release of the beautiful March Kit~! We've already shared with you the papers and add-ons a little earlier this month, and today we get to look at the main kit itself.

But first, here are a few of the projects I created this month using this kit:

"Reunion"

This past year my graduating class got together for our 10-year Class Reunion. I am from a class of 48, so being so small we were all really quite close. I especially loved spending time with long-time friends Jenna and Desi. We have a lot of amazing memories together and talking with them was like no time had passed at all. Such a blast!
I love the "spatter" designs on this paper and tried to replicate that with the Glimmer Glaze included in the main kit. I simply poured a drop out of the bottle and, using a straw, blew the glaze so that is crept in different directions. The nice thing about this is there really isn't a wrong way to do it .

"Happy"

 This photo was taken on a really great day. One of my favorite places to take the kids in the summer is the moose pond. We pick blueberries, watch for animals, picnic, and play. Just by looking at this photo, I can almost feel the summer heat and I can surely feel the happiness in my little Gunner's smile .

"March Kit Tag Set"

 Tags are something I truly love to create! I use them to attach to gifts or even give as cards themselves. And as I was winding down working with the beautiful March kit, I gathered up my bits and pieces and put this set together. Such a fun way to fulfill that quick creative need .

It's always an exciting day when we reveal our upcoming kits!  Our March Kit, which we have named "Whimsical Melodies", includes paper from a couple of different lines from Magenta.  We have paired this colorful paper with just the right embellishments.

A Peek at the March Kit from C'est Magnifique~!

Hi! Today I'm here to reveal to you the papers and add-ons for the gorgeous March Kit from C'est Magnifique Kits, and of course a layout too! So let's get started~!

"Hey Stud"

I don't know who taught my son how to pose, but it sure wasn't me! This photo was taken last summer of my little Gunner and he used to do this for me ALL the time. I'd just pull out the camera and there he was with a smile...waiting.
I really enjoyed putting this color combo together. It's so much fun to cut apart and piece apart various elements into something that just feels "mean to be". I used some Basic Grey packaging, a few of the closures from the envelopes to accent my punched circles, and plenty of fussy cutting to put this project together.
