BOO!

Stopping by to share  two very different Halloween cards, but both inspired by the word BOO!

The first card was inspired by a cute creation by Karolyn Loncon. I cut the ghosts and my sentiment from my Happy Hauntings Cricut cartridge.

I love the way the ghosts are layered on either side of the orange card stock.

For my second card I cased a creation by Angie. I liked her simple use of Washi tape and labels.
I had these cute, tiny brads by Making Memories and I attached one through the holes of my button for a fun little accent.

Supplies used:  card stock - recycled white; patterned papers from Elegant Witch Mat Pad by Martha Stewart; Silhouette Studio cut files; scalloped oval and oval punches by Stampin' Up; Washi tape - Haunted Paper Tape by Martha Stewart; stamp from Heebie Jeebies by We R Memory Keepers; ink - Jet Black Archival; twine - American Crafts; button - my stash; brad - Making Memories; Pop Dots.

You've Put A Spell On Me

Is everyone enjoying their fall weather and, hopefully, cooler temperatures???

We are supposed to drop 20° tomorrow! I'm not sure if it's the beginning of fall or winter, lol.

I'm stopping in today to share a couple Halloween cards. On the first card I used a new Silhouette Studio cut file. I just love this sexy witch holding her potion!

I thought she deserved a little sparkle, so I used some glitter paper and a few rhinestones.

Supplies used: card stock - recycled white, black green glitter; patterned paper - Spiderwebs in The Apothecary Emporium by Echo Park; witch and banner - Silhouette Studio cut files; Labels Eight Nestabilities by Spellbinder; rhinestones - K & Co.; font - Frank Condensed; Pop Dots.

For my second card I cased an adorable card by Audrey Pettit that was in my Cards magazine. I just love the cute ghosts, which were fussy cut from patterned paper, holding the little banners.

I changed the tags Audrey used in her card to a fence, using a border punch to make the fence.

Supplies used: card stock - vanilla, red, black; patterned papers - October Night and Midnight Moon in Night Fall by American Crafts; ribbon - 3 Girl Jam; twine, button, stick pins - my stash; stamp - Magic Spells by BugBites; rub ons - American Crafts; border punch - Martha Stewart; sewing machine; Pop Dots

Have a wonderful day!!!!

To Cute To Spook

Halloween is my favorite holiday. Don't get me wrong, I am not into the gory stuff, just like a little bit of scary and some fun too. I decorate my whole house for Halloween and throw an annual bash.

I even go so far as putting a skeleton in the bed in my guest bedroom. He's life size, with a night cap on,  a bed tray in front of him and he's holding a cup of coffee.

Anyway, I also get the most fun out of making Halloween cards and I'd like to share a couple with you today.

The first uses some darling Halloween papers by My Minds Eye and a cute stamp by Imaginisce.

I stamped the skeleton on patterned paper, fussy cut a little bow and popped a rhinestone on it.

Supplies used: card stock - black, orange; patterned papers - Costumes, Neighborhood, Big Dots, Halloween Words and Pumpkins in Blackbird by My Minds Eye; stamp Skull Snag 'em by Imaginisce; ink - Tuxedo Black by Memento; scalloped circle and circle punches by Stampin' Up; border punches - Fiskars and Martha Stewart; word stickers - Authentique; rhinestone - Kaiser Kraft; brads - Making Memories.

For my second card I had some fun with papers and stamps by American Crafts.

I added a little bit of Black Diamond Stickles to the tops of the clouds.

I noticed, after I took the picture, how different the cloud I stamped on white card stock is. Note to self -  next time stamp it on the same patterned paper as the background!!! Oh well!!!

Supplies used: card stock - orange, vanilla, black; patterned papers - Halloween Night, Night Light, Autumn Cider all in Nightfall by American Crafts and Tangerine in Poolside Collection by Lasting Impressions; stamps - Spooky Night by American Crafts; ink - Tuxedo Black by Memento; brads - Making Memories; Black Diamond Stickles; Pop Dots.

Hello Friend

 Hello Friends!!

I have a fun little card I created for Link Up For Pink!

I saw this design in one of my magazines and loved the way one side of the card follows the outline of the birdhouse. I used my Stretch Your Imagination Cricut cartridge to cut out the birdhouse and my Home Decor Cartridge to cut out the blue bird.

I fussy cut one of the clouds out of the patterned paper, inked the edges and used Pop Dots to attach it on top of the cloud background paper.

The sentiment is from a Family & friends Word Stamp Kit. I fussy cut those and used pop dots on them as well.

Supplies used: card stock - white, 2 shades of blue, pink, brown; patterned papers - scraps from My Minds Eye and Howdy from Everyday by American Crafts; Home Decor and Stretch Your Imagination Cricut cartridges; Family & Friends Word Stamp Kit by Words & Crafts; ink - Tuxedo Black by Memento and Ice Blue Chalk Ink by ColorBox; pearls - Kaiser Craft; Pop Dots.

Wishing Away Your Cloudy Day / CTO #111

Today is the last day of April and tomorrow is the first of May, which made me think of the saying "April Showers Bring May Flowers" and that was my inspiration for my card.

Our challenge this week over at Celebrate The Occasion is "Anything Goes"!!! Therefore it was up to my imagination to come up with something this week. I decided to wave goodbye to April and say hello to May by using rain boots holding a bouquet of flowers.

For my boots and sentiment I used a stamp set by The Stamps of Life called boots4rain and the flower bouquet is a print and cut from Silhouette Studio.

Supplies used: card stock - white; patterned papers - Lazy Summer Stripe by Three Bugs in A Rug, Thrilled in Happy Go Lucky by Pebbles and Madam in Letterbox by American Crafts; Silhouette Studio cut file; stamps - boots4rain by The Stamps of Life; ink - Tuxedo Black by Memento; twine and button - my stash; Pop Dots.

I hope you'll come and link up with us over at CTO  for our "Anything Goes" challenge and stop by to see the great inspiration the design team has!!!!
