Cut It Up "Summer School" Challenge

School's out for Summer!!!

Or at least almost, we have a challenge for you over at Cut It Up which will require you to "go to class".

This week our challenge over at Cut It Up is "Summer School". Create a card following a tutorial.

Our sponsor for this weeks challenge is Heartfelt Creations , you have a chance to win a $20 certificate to their store.

For my card I used a tutorial by Splitcoast Stampers to create a Decorative Corner Card.

It makes an A2 card that is 3 dimensional, but folds flat for mailing.

I found a cute die cut at the Silhouette store by Doodlebug called Globe-Hats Off! and made it the focal point of my graduation card.

For the back I left one panel virtually blank so that I could write a note to the recipient.

Here is a photo of how it looks folded flat for mailing.

Supplies Used: card stock - black, metallic grey, white; patterned paper were from my scrap pile; cut file from Silhouette Designs; tutorial by Splitcoast Stampers.

I can't wait to see your creation so pop on over to the Cut It Up blog and join us in the fun!

Die Cuttin' Divas Graduation Challenge

It's that time of year!

June is almost upon us and the school year is coming to a close.

Many kids are excited because they will be graduating this year, and we are celebrating that accomplishment.

The challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas this week is Garduation.

.

I found this darling graduation card at the Silhouette store. With this cut file you can make either a feminine or masculine robe.

I heat embossed the sentiment.
Although it had pearls in the cut file that you could use I thought it would be more fun to use the pearls by Kaiser Kraft.

Supplies used: card stock - black, white, red, peach, grey;  cut file from Silhouette Studio, pearls - Kaiser Kraft; white embossing powder; VersaMark by Tsukineko

Now pop on over to Die Cuttin' Divas and see all the fabulous inspiration the rest of the design team has come up with.

Hope to see you playing along with us!!!!
