BBTB2 - Thanks

Happy Monday Friends!
Hope you had a great weekend.

My son took a bit of a nosedive last week and we were at the hospital a couple of times again!
Apparently not appendix, so now they are running tests to look for more unusual things.
We are still waiting for results and taking one day at a time. It was his birthday last week as well poor lad!

The lovely Emily has asked us to make a Thanks card this week over at BBTB2. I think it was more inline for Thanksgiving but I deviated! lol

I used Artiste for all the cuts. I'm afraid my creative hat hasn't been on for a while but I like how it turned out.

Do check out all the fabulous inspiration from the DT ladies and come and play along.

It's also my birthday today and I am going out for the day...hopefully!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Shaker Baby!

Hi Everyone, how are you on this sunny Monday morning?
It's time for a new challenge over at BBTB2 and our talented Susan has asked us to use a cricut cut car for our project.

Shaker cards seem to be everywhere at the moment. It's amazing how things come back around again. I used to make these years ago and they are so easy and effective.

I used Nate's Abcs for the card and Art Philosophy at 5" for the card and frame.

With the age of diecutting both electric and manual it makes shaker cards a doddle!

There's lots of motoring fun from my DT sisters so do check them out and come and join in the fun.

Thanks for looking.

BBTB2 - Beach Hut

Good Morning Everyone! Hope you had a great weekend.
Today is a new challenge over at BBTB2 and our lovely Caroline has chosen a beach theme this week.
What a fab challenge as we are enjoying a heatwave in the UK! A summer at last...haven't seen much of one for the last couple of years! We have beach huts at most of our seaside resorts and that was my inspiration for this project.

I used Sweet Tooth Boxes for the hut cut at 8".
I made some alterations such as adding an opening door and curtains.
I scored lines and sanded back to create sun bleached wood.

The surfboard was cut at 2.5",flip flops at 1" both from Life's a Beach.
I took this photo in a bunker at the golf course!

I rolled card to create legs and added floorboards inside!

I am really pleased how this turned out  and looks suitably summery in my conservatory!

Fire up your cricuts and come and play in the sand and do check out my DT sisters .... you won't be disappointed.

Bitten By The Bug 2

Please scroll down for My Craft Spot post.

Long before I even owned a cricut I used to visit Bitten By The Bug.
The inspiration was always amazing and I was blown away by how creative and talented
these ladies were. I longed for a cricut and dreamed of being so creative.

Well, nothing has changed over at BBTB2,the ladies are all  immensely talented and
I am so excited and delighted to be chosen to be on the Design Team with them!!

This week's challenge is to use an Ice Cream Cone cricut cut.
Check out all the great inspiration and link your project up.
I do hope you join us at BBTB2

Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs
