Window to My World

This is my second post of the day,for  FCCB Yummy Yummy
post, click here.

Today the lovely Brenda has set a new challenge over at BBTB2.
The challenge is Window to My World, use a window cricut cut on your project.

This was a real work of love for me. My parents moved house and area last week,to be closer to us.
It's the first time we have ever lived within a short distance of each other.

I made this as a new home card for them.
It is incredibly bulky but was hand delivered and I  made my TBBM2 pizza box as an envelope.

Don't you love looking through windows and imagining the world inside?
Here's a peek through mine...

Hey,come inside...

Sorry Mum,I should have 'wallpapered' the window wall as
you would never have bare brick!

Recipe
Art Philosophy - card 5",Window frame 3.5"
I used centrepoint on the machine to cut the aperture at 3.25"
Picture Frame -1.5"
Freshly Picked - window box 2.5"
flowers and vine from gazebo cut at 5"
Plantin Schoolbook - flowers in window box cut at 1.25"

There is lots of embossing, inking, and distressing.
The chain for the picture hanging is Tim Holtz.
Black and white enamel accents on flowers and glittery flock.
Acetate for the window.
Bamboo skewer cut down for the pole and decorative beads for finials.
The DP is from Papermania's amazing Happy Days collection
as is the truly fabulous fabric paper I used for the curtains.
In truth I would have used regular fabric if I had some as pretty as this as the sticky on the
back threw up a few problems. Got around it by using white flock on the exposed folds of the curtain
backing and it made them look as if they were lined.

Butterfly is part of a bargain set of earrings from Primark!!
Just cut the back of with wire cutters.

If you are still with me...Well Done!

My parents loved it.

I am also linking this up to Jaihart - Sundays are Lovely #11

Thank you for reading all that and visiting me today.
Do check out the wonderfully creative Design Team projects
over at BBTB2.
Can't wait to see your cricut window designs.

Mother's Day Projects

Happy Monday! Hope you had a fabulous weekend.

Today is a new challenge over at My Craft Spot and we would like to see your
Mother's Day projects.

I used Freshly Picked for the cuts and shrink plastic for the tiny tag.
The DP is Webster's Pages.

How could I not use my favourite cart (TBBM2) to make my fantastic Mum a gift?!

I used Tiny Tags and Happy Easter stamp sets from My Craft Spot.
Now, I know my amazing team mates have made some wonderful projects, so do
go and check them out and link a project up.

Do check back later as I have some exciting news to share with you!!!

Hugs
