Our 3 1/2 month old

Madeline is such a sweet little girl. Here are a few things about her at 3 1/2 months:

1. She learned to laugh about 3 weeks ago.
2. She learned to roll over from her back to her stomach a couple days ago. She gets really mad when she ends up on her stomach after she rolls.
3. Her eyes are turning brown
4. She needs more attention now than she used to, but she's still easy to make happy
5. She stopped sleeping through the night a couple weeks ago, we are not sure why. )o:
6. She talks constantly and seems to sing along when music is on. (I hope she gets Tom's musical genes!)
7. She is super wiggly.
Madeline is generally a very happy little girl and we love her so very much and are glad she's part of our family!

Funny Things Andrew Says

Andrew says funny things. Lately, he's started putting everything in superlatives. For instance, he informed Tom that, "Guitar Hero is the best music game ever", he also said David Cook's first song on American Idol tonight was the "best song ever". He often tells us that "Lightning McQueen is the best race car ever". We find it all quite humorous.

When we sat down to watch American Idol tonight, Andrew said, "Mommy, I like my shows better than your shows". I said, "thanks for letting me know Andrew, because I feel the same way, I certainly like MY shows better than yours!"

Whenever we eat and no matter what we are about to eat, Andrew says "Daddy doesn't like syrup or peaneat butter".

Andrew has recently developed fear and tells us every time he sees a little tiny ant that he doesn't like "ants or spiders or snakes or lions or bears or crocodiles or lightning McQueen storms," then he adds that he does like dinosaurs.

Anyways, that's just a small glimpse into the mind of our 3-year old boy. We sure love our sweet and funny boy!

Lame and Ridiculous!

I have a story about why our bank sucks. This is an experience we recently had at our bank:

1. Tom buys something from an online vendor at the beginning of March with his debit card and is charged for it.

2. Last week that exact same charge from the online vendor shows up on our card AGAIN!

3. I try calling the vendor to ask why they randomly decided to charge us for the purchase for a SECOND time, but the vendor's line is always busy

4. I call our bank to ask them to dispute the charges with the vendor, but am informed that I am not allowed to ask them to dispute the charges because the purchase was made with TOM's ATM card and not mine. So despite the fact that Tom and I have a joint account the bank does NOT allow me to dispute the charge. Ummm...ok. That's ridiculous.

5. This is where the story gets really exciting. When I went grocery shopping on Friday my debit card is declined. I think nothing of it assuming the store's machine is just having issues and I use a different card to pay. Then my card gets declined at another store and another store. Yeah, so my card seems to no longer be working.

6. I go to my local bank to ask what in the world is wrong with my card and find out that because I called the bank to dispute charges, which they were unable to help me with, the bank without telling me decides to CANCEL MY card (No, not Tom's, his still works). Ummm...excuse me?

Needless to say, we are looking to put our money at a new financial institution with more competent and less retarded customer service people. Does such a bank exist??

Learning to stand...

Ok not really, but she does like to stand with some help.

(she's only 3 months old after all! (o:)

National Survey

I paid $3.79 a gallon for regular unleaded gas today at the cheapest gas station in town, so it cost me over $58 to fill the whole tank of our small SUV. What is everyone else currently paying per gallon? I'm interested in knowing if we pay more than everyone else or if prices have gone up this much everywhere.

On the subject of expensive gas, it seems like the price of everything is going up. Has everyone also noticed an increase in their grocery bill the last few months?

I prefer nothing!

Andrew really doesn't like wearing clothes lately. If it were up to him, he would be completely naked all the time. Every night when we go to check on him after he goes to sleep, he's normally completely naked. The even worse part of the new habit is that he no longer cares if people are around when he takes off all his clothes. The other night I went visiting teaching and Andrew suddenly walked out of the playroom of the house we were at naked and crying that he couldn't find his shirt. Oh my! Any advice on how to make the stripping stop? I'm just glad he's not the only one doing it-see here. Good times!

Wanna Race?

Andrew likes to race Tom. The other day he raced Tom all the way home from a park almost 3/4 a mile away. He kept yelling back to me that he was winning. When I got home a few minutes after them, Andrew quickly informed me that he had won. The race had surprised me for two reasons. 1. I hadn't realized quite how competitive Andrew was (he gets it from both sides of the family) 2. I also had no idea Andrew could walk 3/4 of a mile, let alone run that far. Needless to say, I was quite impressed. (o:
