interesting ....
Warren Buffett, in a recent interview with CNBC, offers one of the best quotes about the debt ceiling:
"I could end the deficit in 5 minutes," he told CNBC. "You just
pass a law that says that anytime there is a deficit of more
than 3% of GDP, all sitting members of Congress are ineligible
for re-election".
Warren Buffet is asking each addressee to forward this email to a minimum of twenty people on their address
list; in turn ask each of those to do likewise.
In three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message. This is one idea that really
should be passed around.
*Congressional Reform Act of 2011*
1. No Tenure / No Pension.
A Congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.
2. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security.
All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately.
All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the
American people. It may not be used for any other purpose.
3. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.
4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.
5. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.
6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.
7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen are void effective 1/1/12.
The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen.
Congressmen made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers
envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and back to work.
The 26th amendment (granting the right to vote for 18 year-olds) took only 3 months & 8 days to be ratified!
Why? Simple! The people demanded it. That was in 1971...before computers, e-mail, cell phones, etc.
Of the 27 amendments to the Constitution, seven (7) took 1 year or less to become the law of the land...
all because of public pressure.
If each person contacts a minimum of twenty people then it will only take three days for most people (in the U.S.) to receive
the message. Maybe it is time.
THIS IS HOW WE FIX CONGRESS!!!!! Please keep it going.

A gift of Love
it seems from the pictures I can count 77 pieces all with ash in them. I will send this group first. you will have to keep me informed as to how much Bob can handle. I am Praying for him and his Mom. I am so glad you are close. I hope that you and he help each other, remembering to also care for yourself.
I know some of these seem a bit odd... but somehow I felt compelled and can hope it was Denises guidance, and that she will see that they get to whom they were meant for !
the long ones can be used for the wind chime/ mobile.... really not that good of an idea to call it a mobile. hanging glass pieces over a crib, not the best idea !! guess it will just be a Good Luck Chime for babies room.
just another angle of the first shelf. if you click on the picture it enlarges it so you can see a bit more detail but keep in mind every thing changes with the firing. I am excited to see these peices. I used very little ash in each one so as not to bubble them so it might not be visible in all of them but it will be in there.. I am nervous now the waiting for them sucks !!
I hope you & Bob love them.

Memories
Today is my Fathers Memorial Service. being skyped from coast to coast. I hope that the service is every thing every one needs to move on. Celebrate Dads life and accomplishments. he was a small town boy all his life, tho he traveled the world with the navy he didn't see much of the US untill he was older he loved his country and Prayed for it daily.
when I got to take him to Glacier and see 8 grizzly bears, and the drive over the going to the sun road (shared with his sister and ex-wife) what a day we had ! we got to see a momma mountian goat come all the way off the mountain and walk close enough to be pet with her kid great photos were gotten ! after Glacier with Aunt Noni & crew, we took Dad on down into Yellowstone.. he got to see old faithful and more animals (all the big 5 except wolves) we saw that trip. grizzly bear, rocky mountain goat, dall sheep, moose, also elk and buffalo, he even saw mule deer bucks sparing with their horns ! and the country he was entranced by. we went to the museum of the plains indians. (Dad asked to go there,he was interested in the Blackfeet Indians) we went, it was a beautiful museum. he really enjoyed it we went to medicine lake where the first of Roosevelts fireside chats took place....we went to Running Eagle falls (which is this months picture on my calendar), a dinosaur museum in the middle of nowhere !! tons of Louis & Clark facts along the way,,, .sooo much history wrapped up in 14 days of fun!!
the stories he had ! why wasn't i writing them down ? oiy vey!
there were several points on that trip when I got to see a side of my Dad I never had before so I will forever be glad we took him. it was only 5 years ago !
I have looked on this computer for these pictures of dad to send to my Nephew who made a slide show for todays memorial, but of course, did not find them till today. for what ever the reason, thank you Lord for showing them to me today. Right now family is arriving at J&B's they will go to the venue in a couple hours, gather as they must. I hope Carrie and the washington family that can are together, and that all get what they need to help them thru the greiving process.
sad as I am, I am okay with Dads passing, I am thrilled it went his way, I had worried he would suffer with pain from that infection, Thank You God for that not being the case. He was tired and discouraged with the state of affairs with our country, saddened by the damage done by the flood. he told me he had seen enough, I knew it wouldn't be long. Prayers to all of us.
Good-bye Daddy ! May you Rest In Peace.
hug Grandpa & Grandma, baby Brian & the rest for me.
see you on the flip side !!
I do not define myself by how many roadblocks have appeared in my path. I define... myself by the courage I’ve found to forge new roads. I do not define myself by how many disappointments I’ve faced. I define myself by the forgiveness and the faith I have found to begin again. I do not define myself by how long a relationship lasted. ... I define myself by how much I have loved, and been willing to love again. I do not define myself by how many times I have been knocked down. I define myself by how many times I have struggled to my feet. I am not my pain. I am not my past. I am that which has emerged from the fire
