Tired!!!
I am so tired! So I am glad the holidays are over. But alas...its
cleaning time. I am going to take my sweet time putting away
Christmas, I enjoy the tree at night so much that it's going
to be the last to go. I'm even redoing some old wreaths right
now so they will be done next year. Then I can pull them out
right away and they will be just like new (old) again!! I've had
more fun going through every ones blogs this year and seeing
all there homes and how others do up Christmas. I have seen
so much creativity and I have learned a lot from others. Getting
ideas here and there. I love to decorate and play around with
different ideas. So cudo's to you women & men out there that
post your pictures in blog land for all to see :)

Christmas Time Was Finally Here!
Everyone should have a snow dinosaur in there back
yard for Christmas! We had tons of snow this year
which was fun, then boring (because we were house bound)
exciting at times, but most of all it was beautiful. Most
times at Christmas we have no snow, so we welcomed it here.
My Dad (Great Grandpa "Pa") playing with my Grand kids
as always :) These two just love him to death. He's also the
greatest father ever had. Kind, patient, loving, sweet, and
always full of humor!
We had a especially nice Christmas because I flew my
niece (Darcy) in with her daughter. There from Atlanta Ga.
I haven't seen my niece in 11 years! When her sweet daughter
(Kahlia) was 1mo. old. She's 11 now. It was just so nice to visit
with them and catch up. My sister has been dead for many
years and never got to meet her Granddaughter, and she
would have loved this sweet girl.
Here's my sister and Khalia, just relaxing and visiting.
And here is Trevin our new cowboy! He was so cute
dressed in his little sweater and slacks and dress up shoes.
His sister was showing me her new dress and shoes. So he
came over and put his foot up so everyone could see his.
My granddaughter Alexis showing her cousin "wow! look
what you got" she was excited for him. I had these years ago
with my boys and we had wars in the house. These things are
just soft disks so no one got hurt. But we had all out fun shooting
each other.
Christmas Fun!
Tye my oldest son gave me my first two
grandchildren....um wife Julie had something
to do with it also. (ya know I love ya Jules) He's
such a good Daddy and I realized how come I
don't have many pics of him? Could it be he looks
angry when he has a picture taken? Ahh yes he is
just like his Momma, I for some reason cannot
take a picture without looking like I'm going to kill
the photographer. Any way he is my first born and
a real good guy.
Alexis got a trunk of dress up clothes and she
was in heaven. A gift from my sister.
Little Trevin always tired looking (because its
hard to be 20 months) Grammy & Grandpa got
him a dinosaur that walks, roars, and moves it's
mouth. He loved him as long as you turned him
off and he didn't be so scary.

Grammy's Birthday = Fun in the snow
My birthday started out great! Grand babies came
and the poodle (baby) was thrilled because Trevin
was here to nibble on his fingers.
Sweet Momma was exhausted from being in the
mountains this a.m. playing with kids in the snow.
She & my son Tye brought a huge cake, and ice cream!
My 17 yr. old and girlfriend Nikki brought me a
beautiful birthday plant. So thoughtful of them.
Nikki & her Grandmother Kim baked cookies and
she brought a plate over. (yum!) Four different types.
Uhhhh sorry took picture of cake a little late?
My sweet Granddaughter decided before she got to
Grammy & Grandpa's that she would build me a
snowman because she knows I like them. What a
disappointment for her when the snow wouldn't pack.
So my little Lexi decided to do the angel instead! I
jumped for joy and told her that's better then any ole
snowman! She was happy and proud. (she's 4 yrs. old)
Little Trevin wanted to go out and play but as soon
as you take him out he cries (cause its cold-19 degrees)
So he was happy watching and beating on the window at
everybody playing and yelling "ball" his favorite word.
(snow ball I guess)
My most wonderful husband made us all Prime Rib
(melt in your mouth)baked potato's with 2 types of cheese's,
mashed potato with gravy for our younger son & grand kids.
Oh gosh to much to mention it was heaven! I thank God for
this man every day, he has done so much for this family
and we love him!!! I'm spoiled rotten and I like it!!
Fun In The Snow-Burien Style
Ho Ho Ho I'm at the vets office (Isn't Bubba Cute)
My friend Darrell from Burien WA. sent me these photo's
of his dogs playing in the snow! I guess they just love it!

This is my husband and I before the old days hit us.
Dang it would be nice to be that slim again and wear any clothes
on the rack! My husband is Portuguese and German, a
very good looking combo I might add. He still looks good
to me. Sunday is my birthday and I'm very fortunate
that I married a Chef (in mind only) as he is cooking a prime
rib and having all the relatives over. This man is such a good
cook you have no idea. I on the other hand I don't like to
cook much so hey it works out. I'm the baker in the
house. He has tried baking but it doesn't work out to
well, you see he wants to bake like he cooks, which means
he doesn't want to follow a recipe to the T. So he finally gave
up. :) He has given me 20 years of great birthdays that I
cherish.
WHAT A DEAL
I went shopping this evening just to look around and see
all the new Christmas stuff at a very expensive store in
the area. I often get ideas for my own decorating. I looked
way up high and saw three lamps on sale! They were 40%
off, and there was this bird cage lamp with stone birds
inside and a finial on the top with a bird. The lamp fabric
is done in oh so soft bird design once again. So I asked
the lady how much and she said "$63.00! I about fell
over and said can you get it down for me. This is a very
well made lamp and I said "can I see it plugged in"
Oh the glow was just perfect for my play room!
So I bought it (:

Some Old Time Favorites
Christmas tree with no flash. No I don't drink I just put
the camera on flash and that's what I got :) Can
you say "thats a big T.V.?" D. H. just had to have a
enormous screen. It's like a big eye sore to me :~(
But I must admit when watching a movie I love it.
Our fireplace with stockings hung. A poodle on one side
and a monkey on the other side. (see floor) Also what's up
with that green Grinch stocking?? Oh of course that's our
sweet, fun, quirky, Nikki's stocking. She has to put the fun
in Christmas, not just boring old traditional.
You'll have to forgive my home I am slowwwwly taking
off the "hunter green" wallpaper, that is a top border and
bottom border. Carpet is next, then curtains!!!!
I found these ribbon toppers for the chairs at "Bed Bath & Beyond"
This is a little swag I made last year, I still have to modify
it a bit.
I downsized my table last year so not much room for
even place mats!!!
My very old Santa wreath I made. It's time to pull
him apart and re-do.

Merry Christmas!
This is made of "tin" she's so unique, I got her
last xmas at "Pier One"
I finally got hubby up that hole in the ceiling of the
garage to get some Christmas down. All I could
hear the hole time was #!(:0!bleep, bleep
Every year its the same thing (geesh).
I buy a new ornament each year so here it is. One day
I'm going to have to stop this little habit because soon
I will be drowning in them. :)
Nikki (my son's girlfriend) decided to take these mocha
bottles and dress them up for Christmas to put candy in
for her family. Such a sweet idea, she's always thinking
of her family. She's 16 yrs. old with limited funds so I
pulled out all my papers and stickers and said go for it.
She will buy the candy and still has ribbon to put on them.
She's done such a great job.
Decided to take down old things and put up new stuff.
Here is one of my Hydrangea's and a little pot I had.
My friend Darrell gave me this gorgeous ribbon and
each time I use it I am grateful.

It's Beginning To Look ahhh little like Christmas....
Well....a little anyway. I still haven't gotten my DH to get Christmas stuff out of the rafters of the garage. It's getting harder every year...its just a hole cut in the ceiling of our garage to go into, and its very narrow and you have to stand on a real tall ladder. Boy how I envie people that have a walk up attic. Like in our old homes of long ago...

Lilla's Gifts
I just received these piece's for Christmas that I purchased from "Just Lilla"
this is a scissor holder, and the detail is just beautiful.
And this beautiful schell pin cushion. So unique and gorgeous!! Her attention to detail never disappoints. I'm so happy with her fine work.
This is the handbag I requested Lilla to make for me! The picture does not do it justice at all (better pic coming tomorrow) the colors are scrumptious. I'm so glad I met this lady online. Check out her work at http://justlilla.blogspot.com/

Let's Say Thanks
It's that time of year again, when our soldiers are far far away,
protecting all of us and we need to let them know how much
we appreciate them and that we are thinking of them. "Xerox"
has a site where you just pick a card (drawn by children) and
click send and they send it off for you! It takes seconds to do
and you can also read the soldiers reactions. It's that easy,
and oh so important. Here's the Link: http://letssaythanks.com/Home1024.html
Take this link and post it on your site and maybe we can get this around as much as we can.
Thank you
