I'm In, I'm In!!!!!!!!!!!

We got into our new home yesterday!! (wed) Whooohooo!!! As you can see by the picture its a tad small but we will make do. First thing we did was get our new bed out of storage and brought in to the house and of course I had no king size linens so boo poor me had to run to the store and get some and wow that whole bed set up there looks good so o.k. I'll buy that too. This store was having a huge sale! I decided after living on crap mattress's all my life and cheap sheets I was going all out. They had 1000 thread count sheets for $89.00 dollars! I didn't even know they went that high? so I bought em and with no guilt. I slept like a baby and when I say baby I mean it I woke up with glorious slobber all over my pillow at 3:00 a.m. I was thirsty and had to get up and finish my pop and then even though I was so tired I sat in my chair and just marveled at my new home. Then I realized I had to get up at 7:00 and better go back to bed. When I awoke again yeah you guessed it more slobber? I felt so refreshed from that sleep and then I realized I have to get the washing machine up here pronto so I can wash my pillow case :)
Well back to reality I had to go into work today and as soon as I get out of here I'm off running again. Still need a microwave, (long story) one shower curtain, get the boys (dogs) and take em to there new home! They get so excited when they go up there Baby runs all over the house like he's gone mad, and old little Rocky just bounce's up and down like a bunny rabbit oh I wish you could see that it's so cute...then groceries cause were suppose to have a bad snow storm tonight and get snowed in. And I don't care I don't care! Oh I wish all you girls could come up and help me bring in the New Year and....help me unpack? any takers? anybody? Love to you all and thanks for all the encouragement and support your the greatest!!
I might be away from blogging for awhile cause I'm gonna be busy O.K.! Bye

O.K. so I'm not quite here yet.....

But in a couple of days I will be? We didn't pass our final inspection today but it was all small stuff like "you have no house numbers up, you need to caulk around a spicket outside, where's your paperwork for final inspection on the drive up to your house?" In one hour it was all done but he can't come out until tomorrow? Pleeeeeeze! I have a sign in front of the house that has our full address on it? The final inspection was done on the drive up but they did not put the notice on the door telling so...there's so much insulation around the pipe out side we will have to get -30 before it ever freezes...so tomorrow it will be? It's snowing like crazy and we probably won't be able to get a truck up there. But soon, I will be this lady kicking back having a smoke with my maid costume on. Except I only smoke outside so it will be just a little chilly on the deck, but I can take it! with my new muck luk slippers on and a blanket over me :) and life goes on.

Hallalujah!!!!!!!!!

My day started off with snow! I was up until 3:00 a.m. this morning, packing (forever) cleaning that sort of stuff, then up at 7:00 a.m. to go up to the new house to meet the frig guys and they showed up! I was so happy and here "she" is with all her glorious chrome! (sounds better then stainless steel)
She's not pushed in all the way cause we are doing the ice maker our selves, cause Queenie here does not want water all over her wood floors.
Ya just know a women designed these frigs! that's why there called "she's" no more stupping (is that a word? I love that word) You can open the doors and immediately see everything inside, no more back aches. I've wanted one of these bad girls for a lonnnng time but of course there way to expensive.
I can crush, cube, and water myself. And instead of a T.V. in the door it comes equipped with a security camera, oh you heard me right, now every time I open the frig my husband can see me from the T.V. and he can yell out "Get out of that dam frig tubby!" This was Colleens suggestion and we all know she has the greatest mind ever invented...or born with? Love ya Colleen. Who else would have thunk it? Like I said it's a female frig.

Here's the bottom freezer which is fairly deep and I had to run down to the little mini mart and get me some ice! I've been packing it up there forever, cause I have to have my ice, even though theirs plenty out on the balcony.
Then this top drawer pulls out which is hard to tell here but its pretty deep to. Everything moves and glides like silk. Oh yes I am the Queen.
Here's my new Antique basket with my foo foo's in it. Alexis got to finally sit down and look at the "Grumpy Fairy" book by Karla Nathan. The illustrations are done by Karla her self and they are so beautiful. Some of my millinery flowers that I love and by the looks of it I need alot more.

Here I am all moved in with my art deco lime green folding patio chair and my lamp and pictures all comfy and cozy. Hah!
A Granddaughters touch

Put that stuff up there Grammie. (Not to be left there were just playing with what I brought up in the basket) I still have a ton of glue to get off the cabinets and it's everywhere! I'm surprised I didn't walk in one morning and see the cabinet builder glued to my cabinets! We still have not heard from him so who knows? he's suppose to be doing all this garbage I had my fill of it growing up with my Dad and cleaning new homes for him. Yikes I hate it and so do my feet knees and back....dang I'm old.

Tomorrow, tomorrow...Like the song ya know?

Tomorrow my new frig is being delivered! (it's a long story why it took so long to get it) "if Lowe's remembers??" that is? My frig kinda looks like this one minus the T.V. I have never understood this concept of a t.v. in your frig, I mean if your a big baker or cook yeah? But dam Americans watch to much t.v. as it is. How about a frig that spits out books! I could relate to that..or one that throws out apples, and oranges that would be very good.

Stairs are suppose to get done tomorrow? cause as you can see by the picture we need more railings on one side.

Then Wednesday "The Blind Guy" is suppose to come in and give me a bid on blinds. (no seriously he's called the blind guy) This picture is exactly what I want for my little bay window, my Dad is going to build one later. "Just get me in the dam house!" did I think that or say it out loud? I took some things up to the house today and grabbed my Granddaughter on the way up to come and play house with me, and boy did we have a ball. She loves to decorate just like her Grammie, but once she spotted the Telescope my husband had brought up decorating came to an abrupt halt! This girls thirst for knowledge is something else, we got zoomed in on some house's in the valley and she had a ball, then her uncle Brandon came up to the house he showed her the new school being built that she will attend next year. B told her Grammie can sit up here and watch you playing on the play ground. I said "I will wave at you everyday" she says "Grammie I won't be able to see you?" I told her I would wave real fast and tall and then you will see me. And her favorite line came next "Grammieeeee!" with a big smile on her face. She loves how I tease her. It was a real sweet day and I'm taking plants and other stuff up each time I go up and once we get the go ahead I will rent the Uhaul and the fun begins! Talk to ya soon, Pearl

Christmas Move In....

Well the end of the Christmas story goes like this..No we did not get to move in before Christmas, but I'm told possibly next week...
But we did have a swirl of Christmas at My grandchildren home, my son and husband cooked a tri tip on the the new electric cooker outside that smokes the meat. And it was the best I've ever had, we all fed our piggy faces and oohed and awed and then my Daughter-in-law made the finest spread you've ever seen, cookies, candies, Taco's galore, (dinner is simple at our Christmas eve's) she had everything you would ever want when it came to taco's. We had side dish's that were yum mo! Then the swirl of present unwrapping began! Watching my Grandson, Granddaughter, and Great Nephew at Christmas was what it was all about! Of course it first and foremost Our Saviors Birthday. And he has blessed us so much this year that we are grateful.

Watching the joy of a two year old made our hearts sing. He got a new tool box and drill and he played with that all night, we'll except for that new dolly that Santa gave his sister. I mean after all she really moves her mouth and drinks a bottle like a real baby, and pees and poops. Oh glory fun when Alexis got her new doll, why it really poops pebbles out! But Trevin didn't get to see that he just got to see that she really moves her mouth to suck that bottle, so he became a little Daddy. Never mind I got him a monkey with a banana bottle that he can really suck to. Well he talks too and really looks like a real monkey and "that be too scary" so off to the doll again and drilling with his new toy car. Alexis wanted a skate board something she has never had before and she saw a Barbie one in the store with her parents and she asked Santa. Well Santa was tacked out of money so Grammie bought one, and put it up at her new house on the porch and ran to get Alexis and tell her "come with me I found a surprise at my new house!" she saw a present and the card said "to Alexis, love Santa" and she ripped it open and you should have seen her face, it was pure joy! She was so excited that Santa remembered and then this smart 5 year old said "Grammie? why did Santa bring it to your house??" thinking fast I said "remember you weren't sure if you put the skate board on your list to Santa? well I wrote to him asking him if you had put it on the list and he said no so I said she's been awfully good this year" and he asked me for my address? so I gave it to him!! She said "Oh o.k." whoa got out of that one. They make my Christmas if it weren't for them and my family it would just be another day. I hope you all had a blessed Christmas. Love, Pearl

Progress!!!!!!!

Driving up to the house their was fog in the valley, sounds like the beginning of a story don't it? Not today just updated pics on outside of house.

Here I'm on the balcony looking out to the side looking South.

The deck is completed! Now Monday hopefully railings man will be here because he can now finish since the stairs were completed. Once this is done "we are done!!!!"

My sister and I got most of the windows cleaned on back and to one side.

This is going down stairs to the bottom deck. My oh my it sure is dirty, now that the wood cutting is done and can concentrate on cleaning the outside. (I'm not even looking forward to that)

Heavy duty beams and concrete stairs.

Looking down from above.
AND NOW FOR THE FUN STUFF!
I ordered this wonderful mirror and it's just perfect. Well to me anyway. It is made to sit on a mantel or hang up. It's so ornate that's what got me!
Oh yeah!
Details, detail. I just love it!
