I actually saw this tag on my cousin's blog, and thought it was a fun one to do.
1. Eggnog or Hot Chocolate? Hot Chocolate for sure
2. Does Santa wrap presents or sit them under the tree? He doesn’t do either. We each have our place in the room, a spot on the couch, a chair, or whatever, where our sock is with all of its goodies and our presents from him all unwrapped.
3. Colored or white lights on tree and house? On the “fun” Christmas tree is colored lights, on the elegant tree is white lights…outside we have white.
4. Do you hang mistletoe? Can’t say that I do.
5. When do you put your decorations up? I got a little anxious this year, Monday before Thanksgiving.
6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)? I love the ham and homemade stuffing with twice backed potatoes…yum
7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child? My sisters and I would always sleep together in my room. When young all in one bed and we would listen to Christmas music as we fell asleep. When older we watched ‘A White Christmas’in bed.
8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? Walking home from school a neighbor girl told me. I kept a brave face till I got home where I started crying and asking my mom questions.
9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? Yes we do. My mom always tries to remember which gift has the pjs in it, but she usually can’t find them, so we get to just pick one out. But hopefully I can be a little more organized for my family.
10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree? Well we have our little fun one up, red and white candy cane looking balls, silver balls, wooden ornaments my mom made for us kids growing up, and ornaments from Ross’s mom that he got while growing up.
11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? Love it…at first at least…and as long as I don’t have to drive when the roads are bad.
12. Can you ice skate? I can, just not amazing at it, or probably even good…but I definitely love to do it!
13. Do you remember your favorite gift? No not really…I’m always excited about something each year though. And I love getting surprises the best. Nowadays I usually help pick out what I’m getting.
14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you? Being with family and making it fun and memorable for Braden and for Ross too.
15. What is your favorite holiday dessert? I love the homemade cinnamon rolls.
16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Like my cousin, I love our Christmas Eve party. Ours is a little different now then when it was at Nena’s. It’s actually a little split up. We have a Christmas party at our house where we invite family and close friends and we play “Merry Christmas” (bingo) and get little gifts from the $1 store when we win a round. Then on Christmas Eve we go to my aunt’s, have dinner, then go through a little program my uncle puts together. We read stories, usually Christmas ones that warm the heart, funny ones, and Greg always writes a couplet poem that includes everyone there and what they are up to. And we always end reading the Christmas story out of the scriptures.
17. What tops your tree? A puny little gold star…was for our really little tree we had in Rexburg and we never got a new one. But hey, it works!
18. Which do you prefer giving or receiving? Giving. I love seeing the surprised and excited faces! Especially Braden’s.
19. What is your favorite Christmas Song? Lets see…just one? I really like Baby It’s Cold Outside, probably not my favorite but I like it a lot and I can’t think right now.
20. Candy Canes! Yuck or Yum? Don’t usually eat them, but I wouldn’t say yuck…
I wont tag anyone, if you want to do it go for it! I'd love to see what you say...
