Just Like a Teenager...

Last night Braden was eating cereal while Cashel and I were sitting with him. Well heaven forbid anyone eat and not give any to Cashel. So even though I knew he wasn't particularly hungry, I gave him a few pieces of cereal. Well a few wasn't go to keep him happy . He was bucking, pointing, and grunting to tell me he wanted more. I ended up putting him down and put some on the edge of the table hoping the time and effort he would have to put in, would lessen the amount he'd eat. Plus I only put a few on at a time, and they were borken in half. However Braden was all too willing to give him more, and would add 5 to my 2.
Well at some point during this whole thing, Braden stated,
"He is just like a teenager" in a very matter of fact tone.
Trying to keep from laughing, I asked, "why do you say that?"
Braden, "because all he wants to do is eat!"
I was rolling after that! After calming down I asked where he had heard that and he told me, "at the garage sale." Ahh too funny. I can't believe he'd hear that and remember it! We have to be so careful in what we say!
Here are some picts to show Braden’s generosity to Cashel when it comes to sharing his food…
And as a side note to, while I was typing this up, Cashel made his way into the kitchen, opened the lazy-susan, and got his puff snack contatainer. He then pitifully whinned as he crawled, and somehow carried the container into the front room to where I am, just begging me to open it, and give him some. Such a funny little boy.  : )

Oregon Trip Part 3

While we were in OR, Kayla our niece had a wedding reception and our other niece was baptized! We were so happy that we coud be there for those events! Unfortunatly we didn't get any pictures of either! But we did go to the zoo! Paula, Butch and their kids, Kristy, Will, and their kids, Chelsea and her kids, Megan with her kids, and me with my 2, and of course, Grandma (who treated us all) went to the zoo.  The Portland zoo is really nice, and we all (especially the kids) had so much fun!
It was a pretty cold day so we had to bundle up!

With Ross not there, Braden was longing for some fun guy, wrestling time. And that's just what he got with his two cousins, Zach and Josh. He loved hanging out with those guys. And on more than one occasion you could find them doing this...

Oregon Trip Part 2

Megan and her two girls were the first ones to get to Grandma’s. One of the nights the kids helped Grandpa by pulling the carrots in the garden, and they had SO much fun doing it!

Cashel wasn’t much help, but he had fun getting out there and playing in the dirt!

While we were there, Cashel discovered cars! He especially loved this yellow one and was constantly playing, and pushing it around.

About 5 days after we got there, Chelsea and Hannah drove down! That little Colby has grown so much since we had seen him, so CUTE! Here are the 2 little boys with their Grandma. (Who might I add, they fought over pretty much the whole time! :] )

Here are the cousins playing (Adalyn, Ellie, Hannah and Braden)

Oregon Trip Part 1

The kids and I made our way out to Oregon a few weeks ago to spend time with Ross's family. Luckily Ross came for the last weekend so coming home was a whole lot easier than going there. We went for two weeks and were glad that we had given ourselves at least that much time. We had SO much fun being with family. And as always Braden had a blast running around with his cousins.

When we first got to OR we were the only ones there with Grandma and Grandpa, which was really nice. It gave the boys some alone time with the grandparents! Braden had some fun outside while Cashel was napping.

He also helped out Grandma around the yard
We went to Bauman’s farm to get out of the house one day.

Cashel's Birthday

On Cashel's b-day we had a bar-b-que, followed by some cake! Cashel got his own cupcake so he could dig in and obliterate it, which he did. : )
He was kind of hesitant at first...
But once he tasted it, he loved it and couldn't stop!
Present time!

Cashel Is Now....

ONE!

I can't believe my little baby is one, how crazy! This year has FLOWN by. We love having Cashel apart of our family. He is such a fun little boy who keeps us laughing constently.

Here's what Cashel is up to now a days:
*He has figured out how to make monkey  noises, and makes them for any animal  he sees. SO funny!
*He is very loud! He "yells" when he's happy, excited, and upset. He's always jabbering, once he starts
talking, there will be no stopping him. :)
*He isn't walking yet but he deffenitly gets around. He crawls so fast!
*He and his brother are great friends, always playing. In fact Braden is very rough with him, pushing him,
pulling him, kicking, poking...and Cashel just takes it! He'll be one tough kid.
*He is now scribbling on paper with crayons.
*He still loves dancing, whenever there's music playing, he starts a shakin!
*He loves his Grandmas, and will even pass Mom to go to them.
*He's eating table food now, and big surprise, he's loves it!
*He's still nursing, and I'm attempting to wean him, but at this point he is not interested at all! In fact, I
pumped and put it in a sippy, and boy oh boy was he mad! He was pushing it away and YELLING at me!
(If any of you have any tips let me know!)
*He has 2 teeth! They popped up one right after another just a few days after his birthday.
*He says mama and dada and uh-oh!
*When you ask him how old he is, he raises one finger way up high and lets you know!
His stats:
                24 lbs.
                     in. long
(More to come on his birthday party)
