August 19th, was Jace's birthday. This year it was on Sunday, and honestly, we didn't do anything big. I feel bad saying it, but I know he doesn't really care, and I didn't want to be stressed! I did make a new recipe for his cupcake, which turned out pretty good I think! I made peach cupcakes with peach butter cream frosting. And that's the most I did for him---is that horrible? Well I don't think so, he was happy and that's all that matters!
So after church, we went to my parent's, had dinner then did presents and ate the cupcakes! (I'm sad to say I forgot my camera! Luckily our phones take good pics! but didn't get pics of everything)
*SIDE STORY* Unfortunately what Jace's bday will be remembered by, or at least along with, is that this was a day where Cashel had a hard time with the potty. We were in the midst of potty training, and while he had peeing down, he was still having a problem with pooping. And there was a struggle on this day. Cashel had to poop, but he'd already peed his underwear (not normal). We only had a pull-up, so we didn't want him pooping in it-which he would do right after we put it on him.. So he had to sit on the potty. You'd think Cashel was dying by the way he was yelling, crying and just going on and on. Finally we put on the pull-up and when Ross saw him run away to go poop, he ran after him picked him up mid-poop and plopped him on the toilet. He even managed to not get any in the pull-up! And that was Cashel's first poop on the toilet. This whole fiasco was over the span of about 2 hours, throughout the present and cake time- so it wasn't the most enjoyable of days. But I'm happy to report that Cashel no longer has ANY problems-yay!!!
Now back to the birthday boy!
Not sure what to think of this....
Hmm, tastes pretty good...

Oh my goodness. We are SO in love with this boy!! He is such a sweet lovey boy.
*He is definitely a Momma's boy. Which I both love and hate! I love that he loves me, but man I wish he could go to others sometimes and give me a break. :) He is liking more and more going to Daddy. Loves being thrown around like the big boys. He still isn't sure about the wrestling the boys do with Daddy though, it scares him.
*He is a sneaky little guy. He knows what things he shouldn't do and does them with a smile and a giggle. We keep a child safety lock on our cabinets below our kitchen sink, which he is constantly checking to make sure it's actually locked, and has discovered a few times that it wasn't locked and went to town. He also likes to go to the stairs, pull down the gate and race upstairs before we can catch him-and when we go to get him he just laughs and laughs. We also have to keep the bathroom door closed, he loves to constantly check that too because he likes unrolling the toilet paper, and if he's lucky and the toilet is open, likes to splash in the water and sometimes (unfortunately) pee. YUCK. And lastly, he loves going into my bathroom sink area (separate from toilet and shower) and open up the drawers and pull everything out.
*He says: mama, dada, ba (ball), go, has said papa for Poppy, and says nana and points when he wants something.
*Also has begun to nod and will point at something when he wants it. He signs all done. Waves bye-bye and hi. Waves bye-bye when he wants to go to bed. (started these things at 13 1/2 months-yes it's taken me awhile to get this post done :] )
*He started walking!! (around 131/2 months) and has gotten it down pretty will- but doesn't do it full time quite yet.
*He is good at fake crying to let us know he isn't happy about something.
*Sleeps through the night but wakes up sometimes at 5:30 for a bottle but will go back down till 7 (at a year). Now at almost 14 months, will go anywhere from 6-7 before waking up.
*He is nervous around new people and kids and wants to be held for a long time before he is comfortable enough to be put down, but he has to see us to be ok.
*The only veggies he likes is green beans and frozen corn. But he still will eat veggie baby food, so to make sure he is getting enough, we give it to him.
*He is good at sharing his food, unlike his older brother :).
*Loves being outside.
This boy loves to play in the dirt-a boy through and through!
He LOVES Popsicles (just like his Daddy and brothers)
and suckers...
and eating in general. :)
LOVE his smile.
So glad he is ours!!
