It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

It's been an exciting, festive few days here. We're extraordinarily organised here this year, with everything wrapped and under the tree already. It meant the only thing I've had to buy this weekend is stocking fillers!

I have to admit this is largely due to the use of my Christmas Planner from Paperchase. It meant I was able to keep track of who, what and when with very little difficulty. Plus it's just the right size to fit in my handbag to take shopping with me. Here it is in all it's glory in a pre-trip M&S Cafe with a nice cup of tea.

It's been fun and games at the in-laws too, with their dog, Max helping to decorate the tree. He didn't get very far,but he did look cute so we've turned this into a picture card for Mr S' parents. I hope they like it.

In addition to this, we've been cramming in the Christmas Movies. I HAD to watch Elf this morning, its one of my favourites and I'm just rummaging out 'The Grinch'. The original one that it, not the remake, it's a classic!

Whilst I'm sure I'll check in before the big day, especially with school having broken up, if I don't I just like to wish you a happy holidays!

Gift wrap Dashboards

It's no secret I'm a massive fan of all things Paperchase, so it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that I bought my Christmas paper from there this year. It's beautiful and I can't wait to give the carefully wrapped presents under the tree to my family... There might even be an effort to convert a family member or two to the ways of planner addiction.

I had one problem though, there were offcuts of beautiful paper and no more gifts to wrap. I'm too much of a hoarder to throw them away, so I did what comes naturally to a planner girl; I laminated and made dashboards from them.

I just couldn't resist, I mean look at them!

As foiled paper, added with the lamination, these were quite tricky to photograph well and the picture really doesn't do them justice. It's so beautiful though, I love how there's a range of deer heads!

I have a bit of a thing about penguins, my brother even adopted one for me last Christmas. I couldn't resist these sweet little guys and their cute colourful scarves.

Finally my favourite, the sprouts! I've got Christmas baubles and sticky tape to match, I love this one so much!

One thing is for certain, in going to be whipping out the planner every chance I get to show these off this Christmas.

Gold Color Crush

Gold! You are gold! Sorry, I couldn't resist a little Spandau Ballet there; I've been humming it all morning!

My new planner has arrived just in time for Christmas and it couldn't be more beautiful. I've wanted one of these for ages, but every time I tried it was out of stock.

Now that it's here, I couldn't resist decorating it and adding a festive theme. I even decorated weeks that have already been just so I can make the most of it.

I've even bought some Hema tapes with Christmas themes to match my next few weeks. I added Christmas stickers and paperclips from Paperchase.

I love these little countdown stickers, aren't they sweet! I can't wait for the next two weeks, especially now I have this bad boy!

It's never too soon to start planning

My Christmas (yes I know it's only Easter!) planner stays out all year long. It goes with me just the same as my weekly planner. This may seem a bit over eager, but I assure you it is not.

Every year I hand make my presents. I've got a gorgeous mohair scarf on the go at the moment. I have to knit in the region of 50 presents each year (this may be an exaggeration) so I need to start early. I also need to know who I've made gifts and who I still need to make for. Likewise I need to make sure I don't knit someone the same gift two years in a row.

Of course it means my planner and I get to enjoy the long weekend by knitting and therefore making preparations for next Christmas!

Whatever you're doing I hope you're having a lovely Easter weekend too.

First week!

Ok you lovely lot, I am very pleased to be able to share my first pages from my organiser with you!

I'm not entirely sure how happy I am with this page but love the effect of the cute characters in the tape. Both stickers and tape were from paperchase.

I've also decorated a double spread for this week. Again I'm not too sure on this, maybe it's beginners nerves? We're off to  Disneyland  Paris to see in the New Year tomorrow, so I've used a combination of Paris tape, which I received for Christmas  and the Disney tapes which I already had.

I decorated using Mickey stickers which came from Amazon, and felt the little travelling themed post-it's made a cute addition to the page as we're technically travelling this week.

Happy Christmas!

Morning my beauties! I hope you've all been thoroughly spoilt and had a wonderful and restful Christmas! It's been a crazy few weeks so I'm enjoying some down time to enjoy and share my favourite Christmas present!

Ta da! I was super excited to unwrap this beauty on Christmas Day! Mr S was a bit cheeky and kept it back until last so I was really surprised!

It's really beautiful, A5 with a tweed cover and I'm itching to get going so I can share all of it's pretty pages with you.

There's lots of space on each page so I can decorate and include all of my important information too. Mr S has also bought me lots of supplies so I can keep my pages pretty which I'll share with you a bit later... In the meantime, I'm off to play'

My Christmas Planner

So this little bad boy is my bible every Christmas. I've had it for about three years now and I could not live without it. This little beauty is from Cath Kidston and has great little sections for everything you could need to plan your Christmas. There's even little stickers so you can label the dividers.

The pages are beautifully presented and have lots of space for notes. I also love that I can use downloadables and it doesn't matter that I don't have a filofax punch yet.

I love that there's a conversion chart for cooking and measuring. I'm absolutely hopeless with maths so this comes in super useful especially when I'm baking Christmas goodies. As if that wasn't enough, it's got cute illustrations and borders.

It's also useful because I have the memory of fish which means I make great use of the gift list as I can never remember what I got everyone last year.
