Paperchase Scrummies

Paperchase have got some delicious morsels available for stationery delectation at the moment, I almost wish I could just move in there! Today's haul included two spectacular fluffy pens which have brussell sprouts on top! One is wearing a santa hat and one is wearing reindeer antlers.

I couldn't resist this woodland creature themed writing set for when I put pen to paper to write to Mr S. The paper is a little bit thin but when it's this pretty I really don't mind.

These too were just too cute to resist. Mr S and I have a bit of a running joke about unicorns after he won one for me at the arcades in the summer. He's based on the one for minions 2 and is lovingly called 'Steve'.

I continued with the rabbit theme that is beginning to build up in my collection with this little hole punch. He punches a single hole, although is clearly in need of a name as I can't just call it hole punch now can I?

Feeling Festive

We're feeling festive here, snuggled up with a big mug of tea and a nest of craft materials. I could quite easily turn this into some sort of fort and never come out, it's been blissful. Today's crafty produce was a nice stack of cards which are now all written out and addressed up ready to send come December.

Here are a few of my offerings although I feel I must apologise, the green ink I used on some of them does not seem to photograph particularly well which is a shame as it looks gorgeous on the cards!

I couldn't resist stamping the envelopes too, I think these will look very festive and cheerful dropping through the door. I certainly know I wouldn't mind finding one of these on my door mat this Christmas!

I've got some alphabet stamps Mr S bought me from good old Paperchase and they've formed the staple part of my card making this season. I love how they look on the brown card and as I've grown in confidence I've begun playing with colour as you can see. I added snow flakes to these just to break them up a little bit. The white ink is a Dovecraft stamp pad. It's lovely and lasted ages, the only downside is that the ink is a bit of a challenge to clean off my stamps when I'm finished but otherwise a fab product.

My absolute favourites are the simple black ones. I'm not too sure why, I'm just really drawn to them. The red and green came out great too, although they don't seem to photograph as well. I ended up with a few blots around some of the letters but I like to think they just add to the rustic handmade charm of the cards.

I made some Yule cards too as some of my friends celebrate Yule not Christmas, and these too have turned out pretty sweet. I experimented a little with the snow stamp and tried silver snowflakes to see what effect that would create but personally I prefer the white snowflakes. Still looks pretty sweet though.

Now just to address these bad boys up too and then 'patiently' wait another week and a half to post them. Maybe I'll pop them in the post on the 30th, I mean that'll be ok. Right?

More Surprises

There were more surprises for me today in my stash! I found two sets of stickers I'd totally forgotten I'd got! One I know was a Christmas present from about three years ago but I'm not too sure where the Mickey Mouse ones came from and I am not complaining.

I love all things Disney and these will be perfect with some polka dot washi tape. They'd fallen down the side of my chest of drawers and I have no idea how long they've been there but it means they haven't faded or creased as luckily they were still in their plastic packaging. One very happy starlet here today folks, let me tell you!

The other lovely find which I'd also forgotten I'd got were some lovely letter writing kits. One is from Paperchase, the other Cath Kidston. They've both got lovely patterns on them and are just adorable. I'm a big fan of handwritten letters as Mr S will tell you and I think it's sad when nothing exciting comes in the post anymore. I make a lot of my own cards at the moment as I get ready for Christmas and I love adding personal touches to them. Letters are the same, these will eventually wind up with Mr S and that makes me feel amazing!

I'm loving my mystery finds at the moment, I'm sure the pre-festive tidy up will yield many more yet, after all we're not even in December yet!
