Week 24

I'm in my yellow color crush again this week. I'm loving that cheerful sunshine yellow especially after all the rain we've had!

I used coordinating tapes and stickers that I've had in my stash for ages from Sainsburys. I just loved how cheerful and pretty there are and to be honest it's one of my favourite weekly spreads!

The pen I used however is my Ataxia pen as this is a special week. My dad has Ataxia, and this weekend was Father's Day so I included my pen to honour him, my hero! We've also got our colour run coming up in two weeks to raise money for Ataxia, we've reached 81% of our target!

It's been a hectic week this week, I hope you had a great week!

Week Two

It's the end of a rather long week, thank goodness for my planner! I've opted for complimenting themes in my planners this week.

My saffiano has thin gold tape from paperchase, with Hobbycraft twinkle and shine tapes. The glittery hole protectors are from Heidi Swapp which I purchased on Amazon. The stickers are a combination of Heidi Swapp and Me and My Big Ideas.

My color crush however is a bit simpler, with Hobbycraft tapes and Heidi Swapp stickers.

As you can see I'm still loving gold to match my gold planners and am really enjoying making the most of these beauties!

Week 53

OI can scarcely believe it's the last week of the year and yet here we are. I've opted for a glitzy gold theme to celebrate.

I've used teal and gold in my saffiano, I thought if try out a new layout too. Not too sure if I prefer this to the horizontal layout but I'm going to give it a try anyway.

Decorating it has certainly been a new experience, however I have liked how I can fit stickers in.

I can also see the potential for those busier days whereas before I would have struggled to fit things in.

Of course I couldn't leave out my color crush. I'm still working the gold at the moment, although I got some new planners for Christmas so I'm pretty sure I'll be swapping out soon.

This week I decorated with:
Gold stars and champagne flutes - Anita's
Large gold foil stickers - la De Dah
Glittery gold tape - Sainsburys
Thin gold tape and chunky teal tape - Paperchase
All other gold tape - Dovecraft
Gold crown pen - paperchase

Happy new year folks! Have a great week!

Gold Color Crush

Gold! You are gold! Sorry, I couldn't resist a little Spandau Ballet there; I've been humming it all morning!

My new planner has arrived just in time for Christmas and it couldn't be more beautiful. I've wanted one of these for ages, but every time I tried it was out of stock.

Now that it's here, I couldn't resist decorating it and adding a festive theme. I even decorated weeks that have already been just so I can make the most of it.

I've even bought some Hema tapes with Christmas themes to match my next few weeks. I added Christmas stickers and paperclips from Paperchase.

I love these little countdown stickers, aren't they sweet! I can't wait for the next two weeks, especially now I have this bad boy!

Moving into my Autumn Planners

It's a crisp, chilly morning here; it makes a pleasant break from the drizzle. As such, I decided to stick to my plans and switch out my planners today.

I'm really pleased with how my inserts look with the new planners.

I think that beautiful ochre really compliments my inserts: the pink really works with it.

Likewise my weekly spread is really offset  by the brown. It was a bit scary when I started moving, but now I'm in love!

Likewise, I think the inserts for my color crush look beautiful in my caramel planner.

This week looks fabulous in it too!

So now all I've got to do is make lots of autumnal plans.

Week Thirty Six

I'm really excited about this week: this week I go back to my favourite place. That's right, it's Disneyland. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but it holds a special place in my heart as it's somewhere special to me and Mr S. We've been there every New Year since we met, and with the house hunt well underway it's likely to be the last one for a while.

This does of course mean there is a Disney theme to my planner this week, using Simple Stories and Queen &Co supplies to decorate my planners.

My personal size is a bit busy looking this week, but I think it works and I rather like the effect. I'm rather loving the stickers and the way they compliment the tape used.

My A5 in comparison is slightly less busy looking because the stickers are a better size for the page and the larger boxes. I enjoyed using the letters to create our departure day on the page. I even added a journal card to compliment the stickers.

I'm in love with that ticket tape which is by Queen & Co.

I also enjoyed layering stickers to create a really funky effect. I'm all planned, so now all I have to go. I can't wait!

Wherever you are and whatever you're doing, I hope you have a good week!

The Saga of the Color Crush

A little while ago I treated myself to a malden, and at the same time I treated myself to a color crush in a complimentary color as I thought the two would work well together.

What a drama this turned out to be! Firstly, it transpired that I hadn't been charged the correct amount for postage which incurred a hefty fee from the Post Office. This was then followed by an unsuccessful delivery attempt afterwards.

My first trip to the Post Office yielded further unhappiness as they'd closed early to update their software. I was not a happy bunny.

Luckily, I was able to collect my parcel today and am all the more cautious about purchasing online. I'll be contacting the seller about my fee, as naturally I'm unhappy but I had a responsibility to check what I was paying when I bought this so shame on me too. Always read the small print folks!

After all it's adventures the box was a little squashed, but not enough to spoil it.

I just love the hello when you open the box too, it's such a lovely touch.

The colour is called caramel, it's a lovely orangey colour.

It's orange inside too. I opted for just the binder as I plan on using the inserts from my sky color crush when I move into this planner.

Happy planning guys!

Starting to set up my work planner

I've been as giddy as a child at Christmas since my personal size turned up, and I'm thoroughly enjoying filling it with nice things ready to use.

After getting the dodo pad for my a5, I knew I had to have it for my personal size too, particularly as it'll be a great way to coordinate across the two planners.

I love how bright and cheerful the pages are, especially with the doodles too. I love the way the day is split into chunks too, which is perfect for my needs.

I couldn't resist coordinating stickers too, because I'm well me and I love the quirky little dodo design. My personal favourite is the dodo wearing a graduation cap sitting an exam!

I've just got a few last bits to get and I'll be all ready for September (and happy planning!)

A Sneak Peek inside my Color Crush

I've had my lovely color crush for a few months now, it was a very gratefully received birthday gift from Mr S back in May. I've been meaning to post this for a while, but I've had a little difficulty with the photos for some reason! But never fear, a bit of jiggery pokery with the old PC and all is as it should be! In light of this, my pretty planner has resulted in a very photo heavy post.

One of the things I found really appealing about this planner is lovely gift box it arrived in, and the sweet vellum sheet on top of the planner inside. It's like receiving happy mail with its cheery 'hello!' which personally I thought was a nice touch.

Mr S picked for me (as I pretty much wanted every colour) the sky blue, which is such a stunning shade of blue! It's really perky and bright, which is a real cheery thought when my planner is snuggled into my handbag.

The dividers included were the 'Life is Beautiful' selection, which has lots of positive mantras and cheerful images. It really is hard to feel sad when looking at it.

The first section is called 'Write it Down' and has this sweet map picture on it. I really liked this as it was quite quirky and avoided anything too cheesy.  This I thought would be particularly fitting if you were planning on using this as a travel journal.

Inside this section are cute pages with subheadings for thoughts, ideas and dreams. Handy perhaps if you are planning travels, or just thinking about the future in general.

The second divider has pretty paper lanterns , which make me yearn for summer! It then seems quite fitting that it is the section for 'Memory Keeping',

Inside this section the pages are double-sided (and I love that camera picture!) On one side you have space to write down one thing per day in a 'month of' and the other has space for a sketch of your day. Whilst this is sweet, I'm not entirely sure I would use it on a daily basis, although its handy for writing the lists for monthly challenge.

Again, I could see a lot of potential for a travel journal, where you would potentially be making lots of memories.

The third divider has a slightly vintage vibe to it with this floral design and is for 'Lists to Love'. Now as a self confessed procrastinator, I can never have enough lists so this was right up my street.

Again, these pages were double sided and subtly decorated which give a really lovely touch. One side has space for a weekly menu, which I couldn't have managed without whilst I was looking after my mum following her back operation as I needed to plan meals for my whole family as well as cook them.  There's also space at the bottom of the page for a shopping list, which once I'd planned my menus was also massively helpful.

The other side has space for a couple of different lists: monthly goals, to-do, things to achieve. It was a nice touch but with so much housework to tackle, I felt I would have much preferred the to-do list was a little longer and perhaps the goals could have gone with one of the other sections.

This dainty looking divider is possibly one of my favourites as it's covered in tiny butterflies. This section is called 'Staying Inspired' and rather aptly so.

These are some of the pages from inside this section which I love. There are cute quotes and pretty designs, which really do make you feel inspired. I love just flicking through this section and I look forward to adding to it over my summer.

The final section is the weekly pages which have space for a quote as well as plenty of space for each day, especially for a personal size planner. Although I decorate my weekly pages, they are elegant enough you could leave them if you wanted to.

There is also a cute gold page marker, which is a really pretty feature. There are also monthly dividers which have the the month embossed in gold at the top.

Finally at the back, there is another quote which totally appeals to my nerdy, quote loving self. In this case it also feels really true. Using this planner, I love life and naturally my planner too. Since receiving and using this one I've ordered myself a second and third planner, so its certainly made an impression.

Personally, I love this planner, it was my favourite birthday present. Word on the rumor mill is that Websters are working on an A5 version. I certainly hope this is true as I love an A5 planner, its the size I've settled on for the travel journal I need for my holiday this year!

The only downside for me, is that these planners are a little fickle and not the easiest to lay my hands on in the UK. A few stockists sell them, but they sell out quickly! Amazon has them intermittently but they come without inserts. Alternately, you can pre-order them from some sellers through etsy and essentially order them directly from the States. I've found with this though there isn't always consistency between prices, so I've based choices on the feedback of sellers as well as price.

Please note this planner was a birthday gift from my boyfriend and all opinions expressed are my own. I am in no way affiliated with Webster's Pages.

Week Twenty-Four

I've opted for a nice healthy themed week in both planners this week. Although there's a theme across both planners, I've used different colours and tapes too.

It's a rather quiet week this week, which should give me plenty of time to prepare supplies for my work planner this week: everything is all laid out ready!

My A5 has Paperchase tapes and matching sticky notes. I thought the mushrooms were jellyfish initially, and as such they really makes me smile.

My websters planner is a bit more colourful, with some washi Mr S bought me. I'm totally loving this planner, now I've had a chance to play with it for a bit I'll be able to do a post on it.

Whatever you're doing, have a good week doing it!
