tunisian dishcloth

Last night I tried a new pattern. I found the tutorial at Cat's Rockin Crochet. I used a crochnit hook though. I don't have a afghan hook. It was a lot of fun. I think I still need to practice a little though. But that's ok.
I used the cotton yarn for dishclothes and the red varigated one I only did one crochet row for the border. I think I should add a row of white to it. the green one I added 2 rows of single crochet to the border. Here is a picture of them.
I'm glad the sun is out today. We sure did get a lot of snow yesterday. Oh well that is expected. Tis the season lol....
Didn't do to much yesterday. My hubby made me breakfast and lunch.
That was so nice. Of course like I said earlier I crocheted and watched a little tv.
Today I did some laundry and vacuumed. Don't really feel like doing much. I guess it might be a good idea to get out of my pj's lol....
Talk to you all soon

What does your favorite hobby reveal about you?

I was browsing through an old Woman's World magazine the other day and thought this was sort of interesting. It was about hobbies and what they reveal about you. There was of course knitting and crocheting. Here is what is said,
You're a detail-oriented Einstein!
What do you have in common with the famed genius? A disciplined, inventive mind! Studies prove the mental gymnastics involved in creating intricate patterns("knit one, purl two" sound familiar?) tap into the mathematical part of your brain. In fact, the field of geometry is thought to have begun when the ancients first recognized repeating patterns in woven baskets! With such a long pedigree of wisdom behind your favorite hobby, is it any wonder you're a lighting-fast learner with Einsteinian powers of concentration?
I found that sort of a neat article.
Well off to work I go. Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Still here

I hope everybody had a wonderful Valentines Day. Here is a picture of the bath puffs I made. I found the pattern at Age's crochet pages. I put the site on my crochet site on the side bar. I noticed she had an S after some of the projects. I thought maybe they were for sewing but they are not, they are crochet patterns. The yellow one I didn't add as many stiches to it as I did the varigated one. I would like to make some bath mitts for my grandkids, I'm looking for some patterns. I also want to make dish towels. I do have a pattern for that, I just have to try to finish up what I have started. lol....
It's time to start my day. I think I will do some cleaning and then of course some crocheting.
I hope everybody has a great day today.
Take care

More on my wip

I promised to post a picture of the blanket I'm crocheting for my husband
I don't have a whole lot done but I still am plugging along.

This picture of course looks weird. It looks like my wall has a heat duct on it. lol. Of course I was standing and tried to get a long picture of it.

I'm at a loss for words. So I guess I will end here for now and try to get back on here in a little while. Keep crocheting and making the great projects you all do.
Take care
hugs

Febuary all ready

Where did January go? Time goes by way to fast. Today is a beautiful day, it is sunny a little windy but warmer than it has been. I guess maybe I should go outside some today and enjoy the weather. We'll see.

I have been doing a little crocheting at night but mostly I've been playing on the computer. Shame on me..... lol. I've been reading blogs and looking at all the nice crochet and knitting items that everybody has been making. You all do such a great job. It sure does make the wish list grow really big. I would love to try to crochet some socks. I also have been trying to make some doll clothes for my granddaughters. I don't want to make barbie clothes but I want to make the clothes for their other baby dolls. I guess I'm thinking of Christmas gifts already for next year. It takes me a while to get things done. I would also love to make the valentines blanket that alot of people are making I guess it's from the Crochet world or Crochet Today magazine. I'm having a hard time finding the magazine up here. I have tried Wal-marts, Ben Franklins, our grocery store (Glens) and I even tried the book store in Gaylord. No luck.
I might have to wait until next month and order the subscription to the magazine. It is really hard up here to get crochet magazines.
I have started a different blanket for my hubby. It is called Lumberjack Flannel afghan. It is crocheted holding 2 strands of yarn together. I found the pattern at crochetville. I think he will like this one better because it is going to be a lot warmer than the mile a minute blanket I was starting for him. I have 2 strips done so far and the third one started. It does crochet up fast. I have put the 2 strips together I will take a picture of it this evening after bowling. I have to sub tonight. Of course it's superbowl Sunday. I will have to record the game. I love to watch the commericials. I saw a preview of one on line today and it was so funny.
Well I better get off the computer and get some things done. You all have a wonderful day and keep on crocheting.
Hugs
