Happy New Year!!!

We have 31 minutes to go before the New Year Begins or this year ends, which ever way you want to look at it.  I just can't believe how fast this year flew by. I do have a lot of ideas that I would like to say for my new years resolution, but we all sort of know how that works. It may happen for a little while then it stops. But I know that I would like to crochet more for the Bridge project and I want to make more crochet items for my friends and family for next Christmas.  I also want to blog more. Hopefully I can keep those two resolutions going.

Brrrr.....

It is so cold out tonight. We don't have much snow here though, they've got quite a bit 30 minutes away from us though. How strange it is that snow will fall so close to you and not where you are.
I have been finishing up some crochet projects that I've started a while ago. They were to be for Christmas and I think that they will make it. I have a border to put on the last blanket hoping to have that done by the weekend. I would like to try to crochet socks. A friend of mine gave me a pattern. I'm hoping to try them soon. I start way too many things.... lol.
Well going to crochet a little before bedtime. So you all have a wonderful evening. Try to blog with you all soon.

Happy Thanksgiving

My husband and I are going to go over to my daughter's house. This is the first Thanksgiving that I
didn't have to cook a turkey. It feels sort of weird. I am baking a couple pumpkin pies. House smells
so good.

Went shopping yesterday at Hobby Lobby. I have never been to one before. I thought it was great. I have been reading on blogs about I love my yarn. I bought some last night. I'm going to try it. It feels so soft.
Is the I love my yarn cotton the yarn that can be used for dishcloths?  I always buy sugar and cream yarn. I would like to try the other.
       I have mittens ready to be mailed out tomorrow. I also have made quite a few dishcloths.  I'm off this week on vacation so planning on doing more crocheting. Plus I guess I should do some cleaning also :(
It's been getting a little chilly out lately. Today outside it is pretty dreary, rainy...
I keep saying that pictures are coming, and one day I'll get them on here. I am such a procrastinator.
      Speaking of pictures, I have been thinking about all the pictures I have collected. Some I have in photo albums and some are in a photo box also some are in shoe boxes. I thought I would sort thru them and put them on a few Cd's. Then I'll have them for the kids if something were to ever happen to me.
That is something else I will be doing this week, pictures. I don't think anything will happen to me to soon but you just never know.
Well on to doing some cleaning and crocheting.

Good Morning

Wow, here it is Oct. We are in my favorite time of the year. I love fall.... It is so beautiful.  Went shopping with my husband yesterday and bought some yarn. yeah.... I have been making mittens for the bridge project I have 2 pairs made. I'm working on the next pair. I do have to stich them up though.
I have also been working on dishclothes. I bought more yarn for making them too.
Today is going to be a day of clean up. I hope I can get motivated. That always seems to be the hardest part. Well I guess I should go try to get some things done. I'm going to try to post some pictures of the items that I did finish. Hopefully I will have them later on tonight.

graph crochet ?

Well I have been doing some crocheting. I have made a couple dish clothes, 1 pair of mittens(need to do some more to send to the bridge project). I also am working on a blanket that has a train on it, so there is a chart with it. I want to make it for a Christmas gift. I'm not quite sure how to do this one because it has  lot of colors. Does anyone know or have any suggestions for me?  I've heard of bobbins but never used them. The pattern is in the crochet world magazine Dec 2009.
Weather here has been nice. I'm kind of looking forward to the nice cool days though.
Well I have to get ready for work. Then tonight bowling starts up again.

Wow, Times flies when your having fun.  My family and I went to visit my brother and sister-in-law and nephew two weekends ago. We had a lot of fun. I haven't seen my brother is 2 years. The bad part is that he only lives 3 1/2 hours away.  But sometimes it's just not possible to get there. I'm hoping that the next visit isn't so far away. 
My husband, daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter went to Henry Ford Museum Saturday. We went bowling Saturday night with my brother and nephew. Then of course we had to get some shopping in there. Then on Sunday we went to the Detroit Zoo. I haven't been there in 20 years. Then we spent time with my brother and family and headed back home Monday. Lots of walking, but was so worth it.
I have this week off. Hoping to get back into crocheting. I have been looking at a lot of crochet sites but just haven't picked up my crochet hook. I have a wish list, I guess it won't ever get done if I don't work on it.
I hope everybody is having a nice summer. It seems to be summer weather here this year. Last year we didn't have much of a summer.  We haven't been to any new car shows this summer yet. Maybe we can get to one before it gets to cold.
I'm hoping to post more projects, So I guess I better get busy. You all have a wonderful week.

I hope everybody had a wonderful 4th. We took my granddaughter to the parade in town. She liked getting the candy of course.

It was so hot out though. But that's ok, it's summer right.  We got my daughter and son-in-law moved in. My husband has been building an addition on to his garage. busy,busy,busy.    I'm thinking that it's getting closer to me starting to crochet again, as long as the air conditioner is on.lol....                               Well  it is time for me to get ready for work. Father's Day Weekend

Hello everybody. Here it is Friday night, I really thought we were going to get a bad storm today. But so far we haven't. We had are car club picnic tonight. I got there when it was almost over with, I had to work. Tomorrow is the Lewiston car cruise and street dance. Then Sunday is the car show. I sure hope the weather is nice this weekend at least until about 6 pm Sunday. I can't believe that this is our 20th year for the show.

Well no crocheting going on right now. I just haven't been in the mood. Still need to finish the blankets. Maybe in a few weeks I'll get back into it.

hello,

It's seems to get longer and longer between blogs. I get on my computer every night. I don't stay on long. I check my email, facebook and here. There has been a lot of things going on. My father -in-law past away in May. So the family was here. Alot of things to do.

Then my Daughter and her husband and daughter are moving in here. So we are still trying to get them moved in. You know when your family is growing up you seem to have room for everything. Then when they grow up and move out, you seem to spread your things out. Well now I have to condense back to the way it was for a little while. Oh well we can do this.  The plus side of this is that I can see my youngest granddaughter grow up.

Well I do have a few pictures to show you of the blankets I have been working on for awhile. They are not quite done yet. The purple and varigated yarn one is almost done. I'm on my last row, I think, I don't really know how big to make it. It is going to be for one of my granddaughters. One will be 3 this year and the other one will be 5 this year.  The pink one will be the next one finished this one is for my youngest granddaughter, she just turned 2.  I just have to take the time and crochet again.

Well it's getting late and I'm going to try to crochet some tonight.  Good nite everybody.

It's been awhile since I blogged.  But guess what... I'm back online.  I sure can't say everything is ok finacially but we will get there. Anyway crocheting has been on the slow side lately, I'm just having a hard time getting into it. I picked it up last night and crocheted 2 rows then I was done for the night. Maybe tomorrow since I'm off work I'll start crocheting earlier and see how far I get.
The weather here has been pretty nice. We have had some rain but we sure do need it. I've heard that we may have some rain and snow mixed this weekend. How nasty. But you know I tell people if they don't like a certain weather announcement then they can change the station because it's usually different lol... I know that in the northern michigan area weather is very unpredictable. You never know.
I have been trying to catch up on the blogs I've missed. One day maybe I will be. There always is some very nice projects getting completed. Well for now I'm going to say good nite. I will write again soon.

in front of the library

Well here I am in front of the library. I'm using the internet, (ours has been shut off) . I of course ask the librarian permission. I don't want to get in any trouble. I feel really bad that I had to let the phone and internet get turned off.  Oh well, I'm trying to get it back on. 
I have been making blankets for all my grandkids. I made a round ripple blanket in purple and pink. I was going to put a picture on here, but I remembered that I took the picture with my cellphone. I'll have to transfer it on to the computer. I also have 2 other round ripple blankets started. When I get them done I'll put all the pictures on here.
I know I'm not the best person to keep up on blogging. I really do miss coming on to my blog spot and following along with all the other crocheters (my friends). That always gives my a push to keep crocheting.
The weather is starting to get nicer, even up north here lol. We had a little bit of snow last week. But it of course didn't stay.
Well I'm going to get going. I have a few more places to visit online then I need to get home.

It's me again

I'm almost done with my gourmet cal blanket. I know I'm not the fastest in completing things. I have been working on weaving in the ends and adding the colors to the squares that I ran out of.  My husband and I went to Walmart this past weekend and I got the yarn I needed, plus I got some more yarn for making dishclothes. I have been using a crochnit hook. I think I said that right. I've been doing the afaghan stitch and making the dishclothes. I'll try tonight to take some pictures of the projects even if they are not finished yet.

I really haven't been up to a whole lot. Just the same old thing day after day. Working, cleaning, playing on the computer, watching tv and crocheting, and twice a week bowling.  Can actually get a little old.
I've been actually thinking about using the tread mill that my husband got given to him. Did you catch the main work in the sentence "thinking" . I would love to lose a few pounds. Ok I lied how about alot of pounds. lol.
I have a birthday coming up in 7 days. I'll be 50.... I can't believe it.  To be totally honest with you I didn't think I would see 50, I thought I'd be gone at the age of 44.  When I got breast cancer, when I was 39  I thought that I only had 5 years to live. Because when my mom had breast cancer that's all she lived for.
But here I am almost 11 years later.

Well back to speaking of the same old thing days.. I have to get ready for work. lol...

Few pictures finally

I finally took a few pictures. I took a picture of the blanket I made for my grandson in the ripple stitch. The other picture is a mile-a-minute strip. I have 4 or 5 of them. I got those given to me and I'm not quite sure how to put them together to make them a little bigger. She used 2 strands of yarn.
    I'm not to sure I'm having fun putting these pictures in the blog. Oh well I finally got some pictures on here though. I'm thinking that they must of done something new with the upload process.

 How do you keep the picture from going down the page? Boy do I feel stupid.  Well I did a preview of the blog and I guess it's not to bad.

It's getting late time for bed.

Good morning

Can't believe this is the last day of January. Man this month went by so fast. I was looking though some of my old blogs and realized that I haven't put many pictures on here lately. I finished my grandson's ripple blanket and didn't put a picture of it on my blog. Well I will have to take a picture of it and get it posted today. 
I also am learning a little more about posting. I just now noticed the link button. How silly. I am crocheting the cal on gourmet crochet I'm on square number 16 and working on #3 rectangle. I think that this blanket is going to be so cool. You no they say that when you learn something each day the day is not wasted. So I guess this day is not wasted.
I've got some cleaning to do today. Then I'm back to hoping to get more crocheting time today.
I'm looking out my front window and it is snowing very slowly. I'm glad that it snowed some the past few days. We have the rally racers in town. They came in yesterday and are here for the weekend. There are drivers here from Russia, Sweden and who knows where else. That is so cool.
Well I guess I should get this day started. I will be posting a little later with some pictures.

It's Friday

I just got home from work about 45 min. ago. I had dinner even if it is late. I'm really happy I cooked up the pork chops before I went to work. I had to be there at 1 o'clock today. My hubby made some potatoes and green beans. He ate his before he went bowling. So when I got home I had everything ready to eat.
One more day to work then I have 3 days off. I sure hope this time I can get some things completed. I always have such good intentions, if only I could follow though with them.
I'm going to play on the computer for awhile, then do some crocheting. I really am enjoying the squares that I told you about in the last post, from gourmet crochet. I'm making my squares in dark sage and light sage.

I'm here

Thank you Sandy for your concern about me. I'm ok. I have been checking out the blogs. I just haven't been blogging. I have been a little depressed lately. Worried about finacial things. Mostly keeping my house. But we are working on it. So I'm not giving up yet.


Hubby is working in the Upper Penisula today. That is about an hour to the bridge from here, I don't know where the job is, He said it would be a 2 hour ride one way. I don't have to be to work until 1, so I've been messing around.


I have been crocheting in the evening mainly. I have made about 6 dishclothes. Of course I gave them all away. I someday will make myself some. lol. I also have starting working on the crochet along from gourmet crochet . She is doing a square a day. They are squares with different shell stitches in them. They do work up quick. Here I start another project, go figure.... lol.

I guess I'll never be bored. I also want to start crocheting more mittens for the bridge project.

I guess I better get my butt in gear. lol......

The weather here has been pretty cold. Today though it's suppose to be in the upper 30's. Heatwave. lol... My son lives in South Carolina. His finacee is from there. It snowed about a week ago. She was so excited to see it snow. I just laughed. I lived in South Carolina for 4 years back in the 80's. It only snowed once and not for long.
Well it's almost noon, so I better get busy.
