In honor of Constitution Day, we read We The Kids and discussed what each part of the Preamble meant to us. I wrote a summary of our discussion on chart paper and the students illustrated each part of the Preamble. I also put each part in kid friendly words to help my students understand what it meant. I think they got a lot out of it and it made sense to them.
