Language notes

What to check in Persian images

Persian (Farsi) is written right to left with an Arabic-based alphabet plus four extra letters (پ چ ژ گ), and many words contain a half-space (zero-width non-joiner).

Arabic
Direction
Right to left
Characters to check
پ چ ژ گ ۴۵۶
  • Half-spaces

Words such as می‌خواهم need a half-space. Without it, letters join wrongly or a full space splits the word.

  • Persian digits

Persian uses its own digits (۰–۹), whose 4, 5 and 6 differ from the Arabic forms. Keep prices and dates consistent.

  • Persian letter forms

Check that ی and ک use their Persian forms rather than the Arabic ي and ك.
