A Blimpmon appears resting outside the haven for travelling Digimon in "Jyagamon, Potato Hell". When Jyagamon attacks the haven, Takenouchi Sora and Birdramon help it escape.
A Blimpmon is used as the transportation for Babamon Digimon School's school trip to see what's outside of Cloud Continent in "Vikemon Ventures the Glaciers". When Olegmon and his pirate crew attack it to get the food in it, Blimpmon is unable to counterattack due to having no ammo for its weapons, as Babamon had cheapened out on it, according to Tachikawa Mimi.
After Negamon was finally defeated in "The End of the Adventure", Golemon, the Gottsumon and some Lalamon were shown cheering a life-sized statue of Mimi, with the Blimpmon she once rode flying behind them.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger[edit]
Blimpmon takes Yuki Dan/Yuki Kanan, Misono Inori and Aegiomon from Central Town to the Factorial Area on Mercurymon's orders, as the Locomon Railroad service was offline. While Aegiomon thinks Blimpmon is awesome, Blimpmon instead thinks the Agent's group are the ones that are awesome as they managed to defeat a Titan, Parrotmon, and it wanted to do its part too. However, as it tried to explain Factorial Area to its passengers, it was shot down by the Titans, causing it to have to make an emergency landing. Unable to keep moving, it sent the Agent and the rest to check the village ahead of them.
Andromon fixes Blimpmon in the side mission "Back to the Skies" using metal given to the Agent by Guardromon. Blimpmon then goes back to Central Town. After completing the side mission "Platinum Nummemon's Jewelry", Big Bearmon and Little Bearmon take a trip on Blimpmon.
Coronamon wishes to take Blimpmon to Cosmic Area in the side mission "I Want to Go Someplace Legendary!". However, Blimpmon is unable to go there, as Heat Cosmic is too hot and Chill Cosmic is too cold, plus it was just repaired so it couldn't take that long of a journey. Nonetheless, seeing Coronamon's passion makes Blimpmon want to try, so it sends the Agent to get a Cooler from Vademon in the Factorial Area. After having it installed by Nanomon, Blimpmon takes Coronamon to Heat Cosmic in Cosmic Area.
After obtaining the mission "The World Tree's Cry", in the side mission "Impatience and Determination", the Agent finds Lunamon wanting to ride on Blimpmon to go to the Cosmic Area, as it came back without Coronamon. However, instead of Heat Cosmic, she wanted to go to Chill Cosmic, which Blimpmon couldn't go to as it lacked a heater. The Agent offers to get one and Blimpmon tells them they saw one in a house in Central Town. After obtaining it, the heater is installed on Blimpmon, allowing Lunamon to travel on Blimpmon to Chill Cosmic in Cosmic Area.
During the eight-year timeskip, Blimpmon evolved into Master Blimpmon.
