Digimon Story: Time Stranger[edit]
It is the first populated area Yuki Dan/Yuki Kanan, Misono Inori and Aegiomon find themselves in after entering the Digital World after coming out of the Odd Underground Passage and serves as a hub area for the game. Its leader is Mercurymon, who safeguards the town from outside threats. Fellow Apostles of Iliad Minervamon (while not working for Junomon in the Guardian Palace), alongside her younger step-siblings Coronamon and Lunamon, and the Bearmon brothers, also live in this town.
While the main part of the town is peaceful and safe from the Titans, the Digimon inside the sewers are aggressive and will attack the Agent.
Once the Agent, Inori and Aegiomon lands here, their first quest is to gain Mercurymon's trust so he could find a way to send them back to the human world. Mercurymon resides in the Warrior's Tavern, but a Knightmon bodyguard will not let them pass unless they have Minervamon in-tow. Coincidentially, Big Bearmon and Coronamon went to the Sewers to defeat the Titans and Little Bearmon followed suit, forcing Lunamon to enlist them to take them back. They go to the bottommost area of the sewers and find Coronamon and Big Bearmon being attacked by the Orgemon trio. Minervamon intervenes mid-fight and reunites with the party, allowing the party to go meet Mercurymon. He tells them that if they could return is up to Junomon of the Guardian Palace, so they must first re-establish communications with the other areas through the Central Tower, where a storm cloud has gathered. This turns out to be the result of a Titan attack led by a massive Parrotmon, which the party defeats with Mercurymon's help.
With communications restored, Mercurymon and the party finds out that the Locomon rail, the only way to the Guardian Palace, was under attack and disabled. As a result, they must go to the Factorial Area to suppress the Titan attacks and restore power to the area. The party manages to convince a paranoid Vulcanusmon to restore power to the Locomon rail, and they go to report to Mercurymon, who bids them farewell as they go ask Junomon to let them go back to the human world.
8 years later, Central Town was subject to a massive Titan invasion that saw its chief guardian Mercurymon crippled by a poisoned arrow. As a result, most of its residents flee and escape to the human world, and built a temporary settlement known as Rebellion Village in it. The main Town is now a slum overran by Titans (mostly consisting of demonic or mechanical Digimon) and whoever remains in the town are potentially enslaved. Trash bags and garbage are scattered all over the street with all of the cleaning tasked to some Raremon. Furthermore, the Titans increased the prices of certain items and gave out food vouchers for its residents. The party first returns to here after traveling back in time to help Mercurymon find a a healer for his condition.
Optionally, the party might also revisit the Sewers where there will be different, stronger wild Digimon. If they return to the bottom of the sewers, they will find a Digimon gathering consisting of a massive Gundramon (indicated in LM-067 to be a non-hostile Titan) alongside several other imposing Digimon. Speaking to the Gundramon rewards the Agent with an HP Capsule I or 5 of each Multi-Boost items (seemingly random; can only be triggered once per playthrough). This event is no longer available after "The whereabouts of the ribbon".
A feature unique to the compromised version of Central Town is the Material Exchange Shop ran by a Wendimon, which allows the Agent to exchange a certain crafting material with different ones for varying prices.
During "The God of Speed's Plea"', the Agent alone helps a now-rejunverated Mercurymon and his troops reclaim Central Town. They fight Volcamon, Breakdramon and Chimairamon (the same NPCs enslaving several child-level Digimon in the compromised version of the Town), then go to rendezvous with Mercurymon. They encounter Chronomon, who takes the form of Cherubimon (Vice) and summons a towering Venom Vamdemon to test their strength. After they slay it, Chronomon compliments their strength and escapes. With all of the Titan's forces driven away (with the exception of the Material Exchange Shop Wendimon, who simply escaped into the Spiral Waterway where it will provide the same services as usual), the original denizens of the town return and stay there for the rest of the game.
The Agent would later discuss about Plutomon and the manmade weapon with Mercurymon in his throne. Near the end of the game, the main plaza and the Warrior's Tavern were destroyed and transferred into the Akashic Records.

Trivia[edit]
- Several of the groups of Digimon in Central Town are direct references to other Digimon media.
- Digimon Adventure:
- An Agumon and a Tailmon are shown sitting together in a high area. In Adventure, Agumon and Tailmon were Partner Digimon to a pair of siblings, Yagami Taichi and Yagami Hikari.
- Close to them is a pair formed by Palmon and Piyomon. Palmon and Piyomon were the Partner Digimon of the two original female Chosen Children in Adventure, Tachikawa Mimi and Takenouchi Sora.
- Digimon Adventure 02:
- In the station, there's a group of Digimon formed of V-mon, Armadimon, Hawkmon and Wormmon. V-mon, Armadimon, Hawkmon and Wormmon were the Partner Digimon of the new Chosen Children in 02.
- An Archnemon and a Mummymon are shown talking to each other in the town, with the former being notoriously angry after losing a fight against the Titans. Archnemon and Mummymon were partners in 02 under Oikawa Yukio, and the former also had a strong temper like the one in Time Stranger.
- A Hawkmon and a Tailmon are together in the tavern. In 02, Hawkmon and Tailmon were Jogress partners, able to evolve together into Silphymon.
- Behind a grid, an Aquilamon and a Golemon can be seen facing each other, with a Stingmon close to them. This is a direct reference to "Aquilamon, Knight of The Skies", where Aquilamon and Stingmon fought a Golemon.
- Digimon Tamers:
- In an alley, there's a group of Digimon formed by a Renamon, a Terriermon, a Lopmon, a Guardromon and an Impmon. Renamon, Terriermon, Lopmon, Guardromon and Impmon were all Partner Digimon in Tamers. Furthermore, the Terriermon and Lopmon are sitting together while pretending to be inanimate plushies, something they also did in Tamers.
- In the station, a Guilmon and a Monodramon train with each other. Guilmon and Monodramon were also Partner Digimon in Tamers.
- There is a recurring duo of Revolmon and Galgomon that appears near the butcher shop in downtown. A Revolmon evolved into Justimon, the Ultimate form of the aforementioned Monodramon, in Digimon Story: Time Stranger Prelude.
- Digimon Frontier:
- An Agnimon and a Wolfmon sit together in the tavern, where the Wolfmon complains about how overzealous his Agnimon friend is. In Frontier, Agnimon and Wolfmon are the Human Spirit Evolutions of Kanbara Takuya and Minamoto Kouji, who share a similar dynamic to the ones in Time Stranger.
- Digimon Savers:
- A Shine Greymon is seen fighting a Darkdramon while reclaiming Central Town. This is a reference to Masaru Daimon's rivalry and duel with Kouki as Bio Darkdramon.
- Digimon Xros Wars:
- Digimon World:
