A Digimon that resembles an ancient dinosaur that existed in the prehistoric world. It sweeps everything away with its two well-developed arms and its gigantic tail. It is extremely easy to tame due to its intelligence and docile personality. For that reason, it is highly valued by beginner Tamers, and is often raised with care. You could probably say that it is a representative figure of the most basic Digimon. Its Special Move is spewing out deep crimson flames the same color as its body (Fire Breath).

Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna[edit]

A Tyranomon is the evolved form of Tyumon, a partner Digimon of an International Chosen Child.

Digimon Adventure:[edit]

Tyranomon is Gaossmon's sworn brother. Despite surpassing the latter in evolution, it was still fully loyal to him and allowed him to ride on top of it while it was hidden under a cloak, giving the impression that Gaossmon was a bigger Digimon. When Yagami Taichi and Nohemon raided Gaossmon's base to save Kido Joe, who they had kidnapped, it got angered by Nohemon setting fire to their fruit and revealed its identity and ran wild, shooting fire all over the place, but Gaossmon managed to calm it down and had it aim at Taichi and Nohemon instead. However, both of them were stopped by the water inside a water jug that Taichi shot with Nohemon's bow and arrow, which allowed them to save Joe. Afterwards, Gaossmon and his gang followed the Chosen Children, but Taichi saw the situation as an advantage, and led Gaossmon's gang to Minidekachimon's, which was following Agumon and Gomamon. The moment the gangs met each other, they immediately decided to fight among themselves.

During their fight, Agumon evolved into Greymon and fought Gaossmon and Tyranomon himself. However, Nohemon took over. Supported by Taichi, he shot an arrow into Tyranomon's fireball, causing it to explode in its mouth and bringing it down. Afterwards, it took back its arrow and told Tyranomon that he'd allow it to live so long as it stopped being Gaossmon's lackey, and never caused trouble for anyone again. This caused Tyranomon to like Nohemon and carry the latter on its head like it did with Gaossmon before.

Tyranomon reappears in "The Angels' Determination" and "The End of the Adventure".

Welcome to Digimon World[edit]

Digimon Project 2021[edit]

After Pulsemon and his Tamer break a giant rock as part of a punching mission in "Digimon Identified Memory", the area boss, Tyranomon, is revealed. The Tamer then rises up his Vital Bracelet, with a blue EVOLUTION! ring appearing around him, and Pulsemon evolves into Bulkmon. Tyranomon rushes at Bulkmon and tries to strike at it with its tail, only for Bulkmon to grab it and swing Tyranomon away. Tyranomon then shoots a Fire Breath at them, only for Bulkmon to punch it, with his Tamer once again doing the exact same movement, destroying it with ease. Bulkmon then counterattacks, beating its own chest before releasing an electric wave through the floor, which destroys Tyranomon. The overlay shows a big, yellow WIN, and the Tamer and his Digimon fist bump and high five each other, followed by the overlay proclaiming they've cleared the Adventure Mission.

A Tyranomon data overlay appears alongside many other overlays in "VITAL BRACELET Lab" after Palmon's Tamer enters the eponymous lab. She then moves it out of her way alongside a Meramon overlay, revealing her Partner Digimon, Palmon. An actual Tyranomon also appears in the episode, spawning in the Real World after Palmon's Tamer accidentally starts a Raid Boss Battle.

In "Next Chapter: DIGIVICE-V-", a Tyranomon was the Partner Digimon of a Tamer that joined Gammamon's, Jellymon's and Angoramon's Tamers alongside several other Tamers from all over the world as Support Attackers to face the Raid Boss, Mugendramon.

Novel[edit]

Digimon Seekers[edit]

Tyranomon are commonly used Digimon by code crackers.

Nagasumi Eiji used three Tyranomon in "Eiji:Wolf of ninth avenue" for his cracker jobs, all numbered. #3 was defeated in combat, causing Eiji to change him to another Tyranomon to hunt for Modoki Betamon.

In 1-6, Eiji connected their Digimon Docks to his new Digimon Linker so they'd interact with Loogamon to help his growth, as a person in GriMM advised him to and he did not know how to raise them, having just fine-tuned his Tyranomon with tools. According to Eiji in 1-7, however, Loogamon turned the three Tyranomon into his minions despite the difference in levels, with him as the alpha of the pack, terrified them, stole their food, and tried to eat one of them.

Digimon Liberator[edit]

Tyranomon is the Partner Digimon of Ryutaro Williams. Ryutaro also used a second EX8-011 Tyranomon during his battle against Aruba Dokuson in "WE CAN BE HEROES", which he kept in his raising area until the last turn, then evolved it into EX8-014 Master Tyranomon.

Digimon Adventure[edit]

Tyranomon is one of Etemon's servants, in charge of Area K1, a desert where Piccolomon created an entrance to his forest. In Episode 23, "The Fairy! Piccolomon", it attacked Ishida Yamato, Gabumon, Izumi Koshiro and Tentomon after they retrieved the Crests of Friendship and Knowledge, and forced them to run into the barrier, which it entered as well, alerting Piccolomon.

The other Chosen Children then joined up with Yamato and Koshiro, but they were unable to fight as Etemon showed himself as a hologram and performed his Love Serenade, leaving the Partner Digimon no power, making them easy prey for Tyranomon. Piccolomon accepted they could not wait for Yagami Taichi and Agumon, and he would have to take on Tyranomon himself, but said duo then arrived. With newly found determination, Agumon evolved into Greymon once again to face Tyranomon.

Tyranomon is the twenty-fifth obligatory boss of the game, fighting the Chosen Children at the end of Episode 23, "The Fairy! Piccolomon". Agumon starts the fight as Greymon. It can deal damage and Shock to one party Digimon with Dino Kick, deal damage to one Digimon with Slash Nail, or deal multiple hits to one party Digimon with Fire Breath.

Tyranomon appear as random encounters starting from Episode 24, "Perfect Evolution! Metal Greymon".

A Tyranomon appeared in the Real World in Episode 25, "Koromon, the Great Clash in Tokyo!", where it caused an earthquake that alerted Taichi to its presence. Once Taichi got to where it was, it spewed Fire Breath at some buildings, then disappeared.

During a shopping trip on the Main Street in Episode 40, "Meanwhile, with Mimi...", Palmon noticed a Tyranomon on the streets, which she identified as one of Vamdemon's minions. Tachikawa Mimi didn't understand how no one else could see it, but Palmon pointed out it hadn't fully materialized yet and they had to lure it away from such a crowded location. As such, Mimi left her parents and lured Tyranomon to an empty lot.

Tyranomon is the 45th obligatory boss of the game, fighting Palmon at the end of Episode 40, "Meanwhile, with Mimi...". It is no stronger than the previous Tyranomon fights.
