Digimon Savers[edit]
Several Kotemon are residents of the Holy Capital. In Genius Showdown! Thoma VS Nanami , they gather with the other residents for Baromon and Daimon Masaru's announcement of Kurata Akihiro's coming attack on the Holy Capital.
Digimon Xros Wars & The Evil Death General and the Seven Kingdoms[edit]
Several Kotemon inhabit the Magma Zone. In "Volcano Digimon, Eruption!", many Kotemon are among the Digimon who have been forced into slave labor by Ancient Volcamon. Some more are part of the group of Digimon held in Ancient Volcamon's underground prison in "Fierce General Tactimon, Close In!", and they assist Xros Heart and the other prisoners in digging a tunnel to escape their cell. When the group are confronted by Death Meramon and his Meramon subordinates, Kotemon and the other inhabitants escape while Xros Heart holds them off.
In "Leftover Monitamons, Hang in There!", at least one Kotemon is a servant of Musyamon of the Bagra Army during the occupation of Shinobi Zone. During a patrol of the castle grounds at sundown, a Kotemon almost notices three Monitamons attempting to infiltrate the castle, but dismisses it as itself just "seeing things".
That evening, Tsurugi Zenjirou and Dorulumon observe a Kotemon standing guard over one of the castle gates while they are planning their own infiltration. Once they are inside the grounds, a Kotemon spots them and attacks. Tsurugi draws on his experience in kendo to defeat Kotemon in a single dō strike with the Rare Star Sword.
When Kudou Taiki forms Shoutmon X7: Superior Mode in "Glorious DigiXros, Seize It! Our Future!!", a Kotemon is among the thousands of Digimon who are called from the Digital World to contribute to the Final Xros.
Digimon Xros Wars: The Young Hunters Who Leapt Through Time[edit]
- Voice Actor:
Naya Rokurou
Kotemon is a kendo master who had ended up in DigiQuartz. He considers it his purpose in life to teach kendo to the pure-hearted. Unlike many Digimon, being in DigiQuartz has not driven him berserk.
In "The Digimon Kendo Match! Kotemon's Blade Draws Near!!", Kotemon becomes Kenzaki Musashi's kendo master when the latter is brought into DigiQuartz, but worries when Masashi becomes obsessed with power, takes to committing acts of tsujigiri against school tournament rivals, and manifests a dark aura while sparring with Akashi Tagiru. He then trains Tagiru as well, hoping that fighting an honest kendōka will change Musashi's ways.
When it is revealed that Tobari Ren is using Musashi's obsession to harvest dark power for Dracumon, and that he wants to hunt Kotemon, Kotemon assists Tagiru and Gumdramon in fighting Ren, and volunteers to join Tagiru's collection so that he can be DigiXrosssed with Gumdramon in order to defeat Dracumon's Super Evolved form, Yaksamon.
Afterwards, Kotemon (from inside Tagiru's Xros Loader) witnesses Tagiru and Musashi's match in the school tournament, which Musashi (back to normal) wins fairly. He praises Musashi's performance and says that he has nothing more to teach him.
After the defeat of Quartzmon in "Burn Up, Tagiru! The Glorious Digimon Hunt", Kotemon gathers with all of the others who helped fight Quartzmon to thank Tagiru, before being returned to the Digital World.
Digimon Adventure:[edit]
In "The Gold Wolf of the Crescent Moon", a Kotemon is a group of refugee Digimon whose villages had been destroyed by Zanbamon. In "The End of the Adventure", this Kotemon is present with most of the other refugees at a grave site, paying its respects while Strabimon lays flowers on the graves, some time after the defeat of Negamon.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger[edit]
Kotemon is one of the Digimon that Kunlun brought from Shambala into Iliad. However, because they ended up having too much fun in the High-Rise Colosseum, they forgot about their mission, so Kunlun sent Yuki Dan/Yuki Kanan to get them back in the side mission "The Helper From Shambala".
The Agent found Kotemon, Kotemon's master Musyamon, and Musyamon's master Zanbamon in the High-Rise Colosseum in the side mission "The Forgetful Helpers". Musyamon recognized the Agent as a worthy warrior as they knew Kunlun. Kotemon explained to them that they went there to train but found it difficult to fight in a world they were unaccustomed to and ended up losing track of time. Musyamon refused to return, however, as fighting there gave them joy, while Zanbamon thought they should respect Kunlun's orders. As a way to bridge both positions, the trio challenged the Agent to a battle as they only listened to the strong. They can then be fought as the "Master & Pupil Trio", part of the "Greatest Omega Carnival" side mission.
Kotemon, Musyamon and Zanbamon are the bosses of the side mission "The Forgetful Helpers".
- Kotemon can use Comet Hammer III, Speed Field and Fire Men. It is weak to Water and Earth, and resists Fire and Electricity.
- Musyamon can use Shadow Fang III and Kirisute Gomen. It is weak to Fire and Wind, and resists Water and Earth.
- Zanbamon can use Lunatic Gate III, Guard Break and Uchikubi Gokumon.
After defeating them, the Agent talked to them in the waiting room, where they acknowledged their strength. For Zanbamon, that meant allowing the Agent to face his own master, Susanoomon, the ultimate hero. They refused to return to Kunlun unless the Agent managed to do so. Musyamon then summoned Susanoomon to the High-Rise Colosseum, where the trio sung his praises after the Agent talked to him.
After the Agent and Susanoomon's fight, in the waiting room, Kotemon and Musyamon were shocked about Susanoomon's defeat. Zanbamon took it with grace, praising how well his leader fought while he adjusted to an unfamiliar world. Susanoomon, however, was genuinely happy about the Agent's strength and acknowledged that was the only reason for his defeat. As the Agent was strong, the Shambalans were now willing to listen to them. The Agent told them to go back to their mission, which made Zanbamon and Susanoomon accept they had gotten sidetracked as they trained, but that also meant they ended up loving the world and wanted to protect it even more. Musyamon then contacted Kunlun and the group left for their meeting spot, with Susanoomon sure they'd meet again. They then moved to the top of Central Tower, where they shared their data with the Royal Knights rather than joining the battle as they weren't adept at aerial combat in Iliad.
Kotemon is also an obtainable Digimon. It can be scanned in the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, and in the Central Tower: Steel Maze/Steel Periphery area of Central Town. It evolves from Koromon, and can evolve into Turuiemon, Musyamon, Revolmon, Dinohumon, or Coredramon (Blue).
