Marsmon is a servant of Apollomon in Bright Land. In "The Final Kingdom, the Shining Sun's Bright Land!" , after the initial confrontation between Apollomon's forces and Xros Heart, he guides them through Apollomon's tower. He is later executed by Whispered as the latter is en route to meet with Amano Yuu.

In "Glorious DigiXros, Seize it! Our Future!!" , a Marsmon is part of the Final Xros that forms Shoutmon X7: Superior Mode. After Darkness Bagramon is destroyed, he returns to the Digital World with the other Digimon.

Marsmon is the Ultimate form of Little Bearmon, the new Area Guardian of the Factorial Area, and an Apostle of Iliad.

Marsmon is also an obtainable Digimon. It evolves from Blue Meramon or Grappu Leomon if their SP is 960 or above and their Attack is 2220 or above, and if the player's Agent Rank is 7 or higher. This can be reduced by 4.71 up to 204 SP and 471 ATK by Agent Skills. The player can also obtain it directly by defeating the Olympos XII in their test match, assuming they get enough conversion points.

Its signature moves are Corona Sanctions (90 Fire physical damage to one foe; damage is increased by the amount of stat buffs the user has; increased damage against foes with the Beast gene) and Mugenhadō (45 Fire physical damage to one foe; hits two times; nullifies unfavorable compatibility; bonus damage against foes with the Mollusk gene).

It is weak to Water and Ice, resists Fire and blocks Null. It is the only Digimon in the game that completely blocks Null attacks.
