I "thought" I am a huge fan of JC, and would read the phone book if she wrote it, so I knew I was going to love this book and I was not disappointed. I "thought" I knew who the creeper was, then I wasn't sure, then I went back to my original thought, and in the end...I was wrong all the way around and I LOVE that. I really wish the book was a bit longer, honestly. I wish there had been just a bit more on the backstory, or even the love story. The "angst" came and went pretty fast and the bad guy was found almost as soon as he took Cora, a little more build up would have been good....more

By definition a prologue is a preliminary discourse; a preface or introductory part of a discourse, poem, or novel. INTRODUCTORY, not something that happens halfway through the novel you are about to read. Because of this, I skipped A BUNCH of the middle chapters and don't feel like I missed much when I got to the point where the prologue leaves off. I did like the book, but in my opinion, it wasn't my favorite. Will that detract me from reading future JC books? Absolutely not....more

I really enjoyed these brother's stories. I laughed and I cried in this book. A little bit of everything, some sexy time, some family time, a cute kid and protective mom. I love everything KS writes (except the Honey series, that one isn't for me), and this was absolutely no different. I can't wait to see what comes out of her brain next. ...more

For one thing, some of the character's names were just to close together, there was a Ted and Tim, a James and a Jimmy and sometimes it was confusing. Even the author got Ted and Tim mixed up and that made it even more confusing. I will admit to skimming the sex scenes, they just didn't work for me. If I loved anything about this book, it was the newbie PI. She had some spunk. Otherwise, it just didn't work....more

I do admit, the part with Ryder kind of tugged at my heart strings a bit. I wish there was some wrap up with the money and the charges against Christopher. There was mention of presents at the end, but no mention of what they were (that bugs me A LOT when an author does that, if you are going to mention the presents, tell us what is IN the presents).
