The science (mycology and cryptology) in the book wasn't confusing at all. It was easily explained, easy to follow. The plot was fast paced. I was thrown into the core of the story early and it didn't let up until the end. It's sci-fi but I'm left wondering if something like what happens in the book could happen. Maybe not in my lifetime but who knows?
