The protagonists, Devon and Kimball were pure chemistry. There was a delicious tension between them and some highly entertaining banter as they fought each other. I really enjoyed being a witness to their bickering and teasing, to their mutual attraction and grudging respect. They were captivating, as partners in the investigation, as lovers and later when they fell in love.
As a whole, this was a great book, well-paced, suspenseful and with another perfect for each other couple. I cannot wait for more from this series!...more

Although part of a series, Ice Devils can be read as a standalone and you can bet that I'm going to pick up the other ones.
I adored the protagonists, Sako and Blake. I liked the contrasts in them personality-wise, and the authors did a great job of gradually building their backstories and showing their connection. Their antagonisms was entertaining, they had fun, bantering and laughing, which I found appealing, and I was delighted that it continued throughout the story. I enjoyed watching both evolve, as they realistically moved from enemies to casual allies, to friends and then lovers.
With a coming out trope added to the mix of hockey life, Ice Devils was a really fun, moving and well written romance that definitely establishes the authors as ones I'll definitely watch for in the future.

Excellent humor, great banter, friendship, realistic college guys and two charming main characters, it was fun, flirty, angst-free, sexy and exactly what i needed.
The protagonists, Robbie and Brandon, were amazingly written. I loved them and how their relationship evolved. The experimenting, the kisses and touches, the steamy sex scenes ... they definitely had a sizzling chemistry. But it was their honest vulnerability, the tiny tender moments they shared that made this book special. The easy friendship, the complicity, support and love that eventually unfolded between them was all I could have wished for both.
I just adored every moment spent reading about Robbie and Brandon. With just the right amount of freaking out, uncertainty, a perfect dosage of fluff and the swooniest epilogue, this was an endearing, thoughtful romance and I can't recommend it enough.

I honestly expected the book to be more angsty, considering Texas's bitterness and grief, and Sawyer's finding out about his ex bf criminal dealings. Instead I had a grin plastered on my face for most of the story.
Sawyer's reactions to biker club life and his initial interactions with Texas were hilarious. These two men clashed, snipped at each other and played pranks, all the while attracted to one another. Their relationship evolved through banter, doubts, heated kisses and passionate love making, and touching heart to heart moments. They were funny, sweet and hot, and I simply adored them together.
The danger to Sawyer's life added suspense to the plot, the angst to a minimum, so the book as a whole was lighthearted and entertaining. And, the Disciples and their friends were as fun to be around as ever. Can't get enough of these guys and I look forward to seeing them again next in this series. ...more

I'd expected a fun read, but I got so much more. From the moment Paul got on board his plane to Spain, his life and this story became an adventure. I didn't have the chance to catch a breath while reading, because the plot was amazingly eventful and fast moving, and also because Paul's voice recounting his escapades was snarky and humorous, which made me laugh continuously.
I really enjoyed everything about this book: the romance, the charming characters and the interesting places that I was taken to. Recommended....more

Nate was such a wonderful surprise, because I'd expected a bitter, irascible cowboy and instead I found an utter sweetheart...yes, set in his ways and surly, but with the warmest soul. The book is told from his point of view and his voice was incredibly humorous, especially when recounting his initial reaction to Bishop. The attraction to the surfer boy, long haired paleontologist took Nate completely by surprise, but, despite the countless reasons he'd thought he should have stayed away, it wasn't long before he accepted his feelings, especially when Bishop made it more than obvious that he wanted Nate just as much.
I absolutely loved Nate and, seen through his eyes, I adored Bishop, too. They were complete opposites that simply clicked together, with a unique sexual dynamic and a special emotional connection.
Their story was delightful. The mystery woven into the romance kept me captivating, more so thanks to the way the author made the setting come to live. There were plenty of vivid descriptions of the surroundings, the ranch and its people, and the university guys, and I was fascinated by each of them. I only wish that the ending hadn't left me with so many questions, because the mystery wasn't elucidated and Nate and Bishop's future as a couple wasn't exactly clear. Even with those niggles, the story was an absolute pleasure to read and I can't wait for the next books in this series....more

For one, Infinity and Fury members were hugely present from beginning to the end, and I can't get enough of these guys and their interactions. Also, the story was one thrilling adventure, full of action, spying, lies, secrets and dangers, and I never knew what would happen next.
And, of course, there was the romance between Forest and Greene. The author has started teasing about these two men several books back and I couldn't wait to get my hand on their story. The tension between them was so dense you could cut it with a knife, but they took their sweet time to acknowledge it both at the same moment. I lost count of the times I wanted to shake either Greene or Forest, make them get some sense. But, they finally made it, thankfully, and as I expected, they were simply explosive together...and incredibly swoony.

Mateo was delightful. Haughty, snarky and dramatic, but an absolute sweetheart once you saw under all the bluster. His indignation for Christopher's return was adorable, yet it was immediately clear that all the professed hate was actually hurt. Mateo and Christopher shared a lot of history and I kinda had an inkling about where the story was heading. I definitely had a lot of fun seeing them butt heads, until they eventually talked about what they really felt for each other.
The story was awfully sweet, entertaining and charming, and my only complaint is that it was too short. I want more!

This book was an absolutely delightful story about crushes, friendship and the flush of first love... with a brilliant horror and save the world twistThis book was an absolutely delightful story about crushes, friendship and the flush of first love... with a brilliant horror and save the world twist.
The book is told from Emory's perspective and the author gave him a witty, ironic and humorous voice that made me laugh all through the story. He was so adorable in his crush for Connor and I loved seeing how their relationship bloomed. It was amazing, so heartfelt, sweet and sexy. They laughed so much together, they teased just as much as they supported each other. They also shared a love for horror movies and books... until their lives became a nightmarish reality that surpassed Stephen King's fiction.
Emory had to improvise himself first a detective and then, with Connor's help and all of his friends', find the strength to save the day. While gruesome and thrilling, the story never stopped being hilarious, with sprinkles of sweetness thrown in. I went through so many emotions at once and, especially in the second half of the book, Emory and Connor's cuteness together filled me with tenderness, while the story also made me laugh and shiver in fear and dread.
It was immensely entertaining. Sara Dobie Bauer's skillfully crafted a narrative that combined romance, comedy and horror in a way that humor always prevailed. Emory and Connor were utterly charming and the supporting cast was funny and helped carry the story forward. I never had a boring moment reading this and I absolutely recommend it.

When I read the word genie in the blurb, I'd expected a plot filled with wishes granted immediately and some shenanigans of the sexy kind, but what I found instead was the sweetest, most heartwarming of romances.
When Ben bought a brass lamp and took it home, he'd made a half joke in his mind about a genie popping out of it. Nothing happened at first, until Daeliel materialized, the personification of all of Ben's fantasies. I absolutely loved this two, complete opposites and so perfect together. Ben was an absolute dream of a man, with so many hidden depths and the most tender of hearts. Watching him interact with the penguins at the zoo made me melt...actually, everything about him did. Daeliel was not a sweet, accommodating genie. He was sassy, snarky, colorful and dramatic, challenging Ben at every turn, but also kind and giving.
At the beginning they were downright hilarious, bickering and riling up one another. But, soon Daeliel started to fill every lonely corner of Ben's heart and life, and in turn, Ben soothed the genie's hurt soul.
And while their story made me swoon and awwww and smile, it also kept me on edge when it became clear that their relationship had a time limit. I hoped for a happy ending, and getting there has been a difficult waiting game. Oh, but I enjoyed waiting so very, very much! Because this book had everything. Magic, humor, heart, heat, heartbreak and a hugely satisfying HEA. Ben and Daeliel truly deserved each other and all the happiness in the world, and reading their story brought me immense joy.

What could Ashley do when the fate of a kingdom seemed to rest on his shoulders even if his heart tugged him into another direction?
A pretty heavy choice to make and being a witness to Ashley's journey has been a magical and fun ride. The kingdom of Palmyra was amazingly depicted, with its ugly and beautiful sides, and I liked how the author explained the magic of the marriage ceremony and the one important wish granted. I cheered when I reached the "aha!" point of the story when I finally got the meaning behind the title. K.L. Hiers took me to a bit over forty percent of the book to finally understand who Rohi even was, when none of the characters until that point were named so lol... AND, I loved the meaning of the title...
It's hard not to give too much of the story away, but I really consider it a must read for anyone looking for a light-hearted, magic filled story. The humor and the banter were on point, the main and secondary characters were interesting, there was enough steam to burn up the pages, and the romance...well, read and find out. I guarantee you'll have fun....more

The Quindi elves were feared, protagonists of many horror tales, yet PavelMassive ice poles stood menacingly between Pavel's village and Quindi land. The Quindi elves were feared, protagonists of many horror tales, yet Pavel has often found himself looking beyond the icey guardians, equal parts fascinated and scared of the unknown frozen world. But, Pavel would never have even dreamed of actually stepping into Elven territory, or that his own father would simply sell him to a Quindi warrior for a purse of golden coins. And just like that, Pavel's life became an adventurous journey and I absolutely loved it!
At the beginning of the story Pavel was an almost jaded soul, lonely and unhappy, exhausted and just going through the motions of working and taking care of his home, father and brother. But, as the story progressed I got to see there was so much more to him. Terrified, of course, but snapping and hissing, snarky and irreverent, inventive and brave. He stood up for himself even when his life was in danger, showing strength of character, resilience and courage.
That's all the spoilers I'm going to give away, because I think every reader should enjoy this magical story step by step, beyond excited to see what happens next. Because the author wrote it brilliantly, often changing the cards on the table, in a way that each page meant new surprises and conjectures. Told only from Pavel's point of view, I never knew what the other characters thought and I definitely never had an inkling of how things would work out for Pavel.
It was totally awesome, just like stepping into an amazingly depicted cold, frozen world, surrounded by sexy Legolas-es (I actually envy Pavel a bit lol). It was sweet, grab-you-by-the-feels, hilarious, delightful, a few times a bit saddening and angering, suspenseful, magical, sexy, engaging and surprising.
I'd recommend to get it as soon as possible, it's absolutely a must read!...more

Fast forward eighteen years and ZachAt 21, agreeing to marry your best friend at 40 if still both single by that age, seemed an easy promise to make. Fast forward eighteen years and Zach was as in love with his best friend Dominic as ever, although he'd kept kissing frogs sadly aware he'd never have his prince. As for Dominic, after years of dating, no woman has ever captured his heart enough to propose. So, why not pretend to get married, just to get their families off their backs?
Oh, this was brilliant! Two best friends who knew the other inside out and so wonderfully in synch with each other they made me envious. I loved it when Dominic started to see Zach from a different light, as a romantic partner. They already had an unique connection and such an easy relationship, it made sense to take things further. The author made the progression from friends to lovers feel perfectly natural and believable.

I'd sit I love Barbara Elsborg's writing and the stories of the Unfinished Business series are ones that touched me more than any other of her books. I'd sit patiently waiting for each installment and Cato's story was one I was particularly excited for, running possible pairings for him in my mind.
I've only known Cato as Jonty's Terrible Twin, with almost equal sass and humor. But, sarcasm and sharp wit hid loneliness and need for his own special someone. Well, he found Vigge, who was most definitely Cato's balancing match. Perfectly opposed, taciturn versus outgoing, yet perfect for each other, both big hearted and kind.
I found beautiful how the story revealed the vulnerability both MC tried to conceal. A recent ugly breakup ate at Cato's self confidence, while Vigge has tought himself not to wish anything for himself, to not live beyond his work as a cop. He had never expected that romance was even in the cards for him, mostly because he thought not to deserve to be loved. Meeting Cato showed him just how empty his life was...an emptiness that Cato slowly started to fill by force of smiles and kisses. Oh, Vigge had tried to stay away from Cato, but somehow he always found himself looking for him. He was so cute, the big, bad cop, unable and then unwilling to resist the pull towards Cato.
The book has just enough romance as it has plot, in an amazing flow between the two. Someone threatened Cato in an escalation of attacks and Vigge himself had a mystery to elucidate from his past. Vigge was the one Cato ran to asking for help. Trying to figure out who was threatening Cato brought them close together and feelings started to bubble to the surface, Vigge slowly letting his walls down and eventually completely opening himself to Cato.
Both mysteries were really intriguing. While Vigge's was cleared up quite easily, Cato's continued all through the storyline. It was suspenseful and also fun, because I tried myself to guess who was the culprit...with scarce results from my part and a surprising elucidation.
As a conclusion, this was an all around awesome book. Hilarious banter, astrology, silly innuendos, snark, family drama and dramatics, charming characters, high steam and high emotions, a beautiful love story, suspense, mystery that worked hand in hand with the romance... what else could you ask for? It also didn't hurt that I got a pretty hefty dose of Jonty throughout the story. He never stops brightening my days, so more of him is always a delight.

But King's Ex is written by EJ Russell and iI stopped reading fake relationships books a while back, because they all kinda seemed to blend together. But King's Ex is written by EJ Russell and in the Royal Powers universe, so I absolutely had to read it.
It was so creative and all around fun. The plot might sound simple, the king who faked a fiancé in order to free himself from a unwanted betrothal, but everything got complicated after king Bastien got pretend- engaged to Nico. Many people counted on Bastien's marriage to Helena, plotting has been happening since they were kids, so obviously they didn't react well to their plans going up in smoke. As a consequence, Bastien found himself in some strange and dangerous situations, many times barely making it out alive.
And, in the mean time, Bas and Nico had to show themselves to the world as a couple, excitedly waiting for their wedding. These two men were cute and endearing individually, but became increasingly so when they were around each other. Despite doubts about their different social standings, the secrets they both kept and the dangers increasing around them, Bas and Nico were inexorably drawn to each other, because they finally found someone they could trust and treated the other as special and necessary.
Their romance was the perfect fairy tale, with the added bonus of magical powers thrown in the mix. The story progressed toward a happy ending, of course, and the reveal of an unexpected villain. The moments of tension and fear were amazingly balanced by humor and laughter, the enemies by incredible friends, all wrapped up in a delightful story that put a smile on my face from beginning to the end.

My new bae is Callum and I absolutely adore him. The author wrote him in such a way that he made me smile all through the book. Stealthy and silent outward, but his inner voice was the one of a loud, grumpy, growling and bad mouthed bear. And, yes, an assassin. With little or no morals, Callum the first to warn you against searching for any good in him or for any hidden depths of his soul. He also thought himself cold and unfeeling and maybe he had been, at least until he met Linden.
One sunny smile from Linden and one look at his bright eyes and Callum's cold heart started to thaw. A dangerous situation after another and my hitman became the protector. He took the magic, strange creatures and realms in strides but I loved how the only wondrous part of his new reality was Linden. I just about melted seeing Callum held in the spellbinding web of everything Linden, from his hair to his lips and his complex personality. No longer jaded and unfeeling, Callum also proved there were indeed hidden depths to him. He was loyal and honest, brave, gentle and caring.
They were absolutely precious together, the stone faced assassin and the sunny fae. They saved each other, Callum literally after eliminating the threat to Linden's life and the latter by giving Callum a purpose, eventually even a home and happiness.
I know I almost made it seem like there weren't any other characters in the book lol. Callum is my favorite, I made that pretty obvious, but I loved Linden, too. The secondary characters, especially Linden's best friends, were delightful and definitely added color and entertainment to the story.
Brought to Light was such an amazing, fun adventure. With incredibly well detailed writing style that made me feel transported to the worlds our heroes traveled to, magic and laughter, suspense, charming characters and a swoon worthy romance, the story kept me enchanted from beginning to the end.
