They were all broken in some way or another, and I mean all the people at Whisper Ridge ( if you've read Winter Cowboy you know what I mean)...and maybe that's why it didn't take long for Quinn and Levi to feel right at home at the ranch.
Because, you see, Quinn and Levi were damaged, too. The author wrote them achingly real, in such a way they stroke a cord in me. Levi was a gruff loner, not interested in making friends or building lasting connections, with a shield around his heart he'd thought impenetrable. And Quinn ...he was precious. Good thing nobody saw inside his heart and mind, because they might of gotten dizzy. Inside he was a turmoil of fears, hopes, insecurities...and laughter and joy.
These two didn't start off particularly well. At the beginning they were like two magnets that would attract one moment and force back the other. Their interactions were delightful. Levi would get standoffish and, around him, Quinn would became all adorable and nervous, if not standoffish himself. As expected, eventually the pull became stronger than the push, and their chemistry was beyond the charts incediary...with a surprising dynamic that I found incredibly hot. The only way to describe it was they were custom made for each other, sexually and emotionally.
They found love, home and acceptance, with each other and at Whisper Ridge. Their story put me through the whole gamut of emotion, I laughed out loud, smiled and even cried a bit. It was a touching and delicious combination of funny, sweet, sad and sexy that left a lasting impression on me.
Also, at this point Whisper Ridge and its amazing people, the sense of family they give are almost home for me, too, and I'd love it if RJ Scott would write more books in this series.

Nick, Elliot, Teegan and kids, all the issues the book dealt with, everyone who was given chance to be happy. Such a touching romance! Despite the initial tension between Nick and Elliot, the emotional buildup moved slow and steady. Making absolutely sure that a connection was established, the author didn't miss a beat in bringing the romance to the page. There were doubts and hesitations, confrontation, but also heat and flirty banter, and intense emotional moments. For me the addition of the kids added so much to my enjoyment of this story. Grownups and little ones were given the chance to connect and I loved seeing the importance given to their growing bond as a family.
Despite some heavy topics, Listen felt fairly lightweight. There was so much optimism and acceptance, touches of humor and minimal wallowing in angst. I liked that these guys worked their way forward, as an united front, and at the end, I got a heartwarming feeling of love and family.

Jeremy and Max were delightful. I loved seeing shy, inexperienced Jeremy open up and practically lit up every time he was around Max. Well, and Max, he was so sweet, all protective of Jeremy, going out of his way to take care of him. They managed to keep a smile on face all the time.
While this was a lot an entertaining, hot tale of two young men and their raging hormones, it was also so much about their emotional connection, their growth from friends to lovers. It's the heartwarming story of Jeremy and Max figuring out important things and make future plans, about them finding their partner and their joy.
The family Christmas at Max's home added fun and charm to the story, and I really can't recommend it enough. Engagingly written, lovely, cute and fun, with endearing characters, yummy first experiences, a sweet romance and Christmas cheer... absolutely one of the best festive stories I've ever read.

And one might say that Eric, being a firefighter and risking his life every time he goes to work,is the one who's the bravest, but to me it's Brady. For having raised his nephews despite his disorder, for the way he confronts life no matter how hard DCD makes arriving at the end of each day,for doing his best to always have a smile on his face regardless of a debilitating anxiety. And,he's so brave for opening his heart to love, letting Eric in.
Once again,I'm amazed by how brilliant RJ Scott is at writing characters . Not perfect, but solid and relatable, so easy to get into the reader's heart and remain there indefinitely. Brady and Eric have become so dear to me,both so kind, selfless and giving. They seem an unlikely couple on the outside, but obviously perfect for each other and so beautiful together.
And their romance,in my opinion, is on of the most touching one this author has written. Absolutely a must read!

In the previous book Scott acted like a real a**hole but now I got to know the reasons behind his behavior. He's got a deep set internalized homophobia and he's doing his best to overcome the psychological conditioning done by his parents. It broke my heart to see his inner conflict between what his mind says and what his heart and body crave. So hungry for touch and affection ,so fascinated with Davis and his appreciation.
And Davis is amazing: caring, patient, an all around great man,and of course a good father. I loved watching their relationship develop, each tentative step at a time. Curiosity becomes warm feelings, then turn into hot need and eventually deep, strong love.
I've Got You is an absorbing, soul-stirring romance . It was touching to witness Scott grow happy in his own skin and find home, love and family with Davis and Libby.

They have starkly different upbringings and it surely looks like the odds that their differences would make a long-term relationship last are against them.
But,I was happy to discover that these two amazing men aren't that dissimilar after all,not deep down. Both have many uncertainties, fears and doubts, only Nick wears his emotions on his sleeves and Oliver is better at presenting a confident, cool facade. And what they really feel shouldn't even matter, because they've decided to have a sex only relationship, without any personal details in the mix. Their lives are messed up and regardless of much they try uncomplicated, all their plans blow to pieces. And let me tell you,it was wonderfully emotional to watch their no strings attached slowly turn into need for companionship and eventually into love.
I loved everything about Cold Pressed: the emotions, the passion, the connection between Nick and Oliver. I loved how these two beautiful, lonely souls found each other despite deep set insecurities and family drama, and how they managed to build a new future for themselves.
I really recommend it!

The blurb promises a second chances romance, but the authors packed so much more into the story. Two protagonists, Kyle and Christian, who are so wonderfully written that I felt each of their feelings as my own. And there was a well of emotions between them, because they've been IT for each other since their teenage years, with overwhelming longing and need after Kyle left and didn't keep in touch.
Forced together by a blizzard in Christian's cabin, they were given the chance to own up to their mistakes and talk about their problems...until the story took an unexpected dangerous turn. Kyle's nighttime terrors suddenly became very real and murderous, and the suspense kept me glued to the pages and holding my breath.
I loved it. A heartfelt tale of "you've always been my one and only" and making the right choices for happiness, in a magical snowy setting ...and a few splashes of blood. An exciting combination of romance and suspense that I wholeheartedly recommend.

The book is told from Cab's perspective and the author has written him so incredibly striking that I felt each of his emotions. Hurt, loneliness, sadness and, once he met Julian, sparks of attraction, anticipation, wonder and fear. Yes, because Cab was afraid to open himself up to love again and risk heartbreak and loss. Alongside Cab, I was completely fascinating with the colorful, vibrant Jules and eventually gave in to the need to grab what Jules promised: laughter, passion, tenderness...love.
