Well,I won't become a ghost hunter, but Alex Silver definitely kept me captivated with all the behind the scenes facts. Besides that,the author was amazing at alternating tech info with funny or sweet moments, not to mention the thrilling or down right scary ones.
I also appreciated the attention to detail in the story line. It might of turned it a bit longish but it guarantees well rounded characters, sensibility to touchy subjects, a clear imagine of settings and historical facts.
If you're looking for a book with an exciting, ghostly mystery and a sweet romance, pick up this one. You won't regret it.

The book is told from Cab's perspective and the author has written him so incredibly striking that I felt each of his emotions. Hurt, loneliness, sadness and, once he met Julian, sparks of attraction, anticipation, wonder and fear. Yes, because Cab was afraid to open himself up to love again and risk heartbreak and loss. Alongside Cab, I was completely fascinating with the colorful, vibrant Jules and eventually gave in to the need to grab what Jules promised: laughter, passion, tenderness...love.
I loved that this story never became too angsty. It was sweet, romantic, sexy and emotional. So, if you like poignant stories of second chances at love and finding the courage to move on, you should really give a chance to The Christmas Tenor.

The protagonists, though, were nothing like I expected... in the best way. Solon, for a war-worn general, wasn't rough in the least and, instead, was gentle and had such a warm heart. Temaj was a surprise also, with his snarky, flirty and outspoken personality. Another surprise was the fact that Temaj was the one to try to win Solon, using all his seductive tricks to take down the general's defenses. These two had great chemistry from the get-go and an emotional connection that grew with a gentle speed, until it became strong and lasting.
With a hint of mystery and danger, the the sweetest romance in a fascinating Egyptian setting, this book was a delight from start to finish....more

They're just really good guys, fun to be around, and each of their interactions gave me emotions and smiles.
The investigation/ghostly factors were really well done and kept the story moving. It's hard to manage mystery, spookiness and romance and not let one overshadow the other, but it was just right here. The mix of aspects was amazing for me, I was equally fascinated no matter what was happening. I had a lot of fun reading this book and I can't wait for more books in this series. ...more

There are certain parts of this story that are hilarious, others deeply emotional, while the overall plot kept me on the edge of my seat, and I did not want to put this down. A real gripper. And, it took me by surprise to discover, during The Bachelor and the Cherry, that there were so many hidden sides to her, when the makeup was off. Jordan was vulnerable, the soft to Sitka's iron. A complicated man to say the least, and so very easy to love. I adored sweet, caring Yampier, too. Both these men won my heart immediately.
It wasn't easy for Yampier to make Jared trust him with his heart, but slowly, both men talked and barred their souls to each other. So much hope and healing for both, while they still had relationship issues, moments of doubts, and also very romantic scenes.
This author has such a talent with creating vibrant environments that you can picture easily, and charming characters. The Campo Royale became a place I could almost experience myself, and its people felt so very real. Rather than coworkers, they're a family, and a can't wait to meet them all again.

There are some pretty disheartening moments in this story, as in the first installment, but the marvelous thing about both of them are the characters. Most are so broken, each with their own misery to tell and their own paths to forge, but their overall dispositions and interactions brighten the tone, while they lighten each other's lives. As the story unfolds, it's full of cute scenes, drama, humor, lots of focus on friendship, family, belonging and affection. I loved it!

The world-building was complex, vividly described and colorful, with a rich cast of characters. The realm's residents were amazingly depicted, each unique and special. Maybe 'monsters' in aspect, yet simply wonderful people, kind and caring.
The centrepoint of the story and what I mostly appreciated about it was the gentle pace of the romance between Levi and Ash. They slowly grew comfortable with each other and had so many sweet, tender moments together, simply enjoying each other's company and getting to know one another, that I couldn't stop myself smiling and swooning. They had an unhurried built-up to physical intimacy and strong feelings, and I adored them together.
There were moments of discovery and fun, scene of fast paced action, hints of danger and the looming threat of the curse over the Amethyst Kingdom, but overall Stitches was a calm, soothing novel. I loved this story with its beautiful, good-hearted 'monsters' and its tender romance. Recommended!...more

Imagine being Chase, killed as a sacrifice to a deity by his best friends and his boyfriend...the betrayal of realizing the most important connections he's built through the years were fake. Not only that, but when said deity picks him for her reincarnation, to find his choices taken away, as well as control over his body's needs.
Poor, sweet Chase! I loved him and hated what he's been put through. I felt his rage, his heartbreak and powerlessness. And I most definitely couldn't stand any of the other characters. The author offered their point of view, too, but seeing things from their perspectives still didn't endear them to my eyes. I don't know, maybe they'll show redeeming qualities next in the series.
I found captivating the premise of the book and, although my heart ached all through reading it, I was completely enraptured and kept turning the pages. I hope the next installment will be published soon, because I'm excited to know what's in store for Chase and his paladins. ...more

The author writes with such empathy and understanding that by the end of the book the characters felt like friends of my own. Sam and Julian are quite endearing individually and as a couple. Both men are just gorgeous and genuine, so passionate and caring with each other. They have a wonderful intensity and great heat, and I loved the support they two gave each other while dealing with their individual issues.
I really enjoyed reading Ambiguous. Recommended to all looking for a well-written, fun and touching romance with a realistic portrayal of gay relationships.

This was so much fun! Most of the characters were violent, morally ambiguous people and there were some bloody scenes in the book. So, it was not pretty, and amidst it all, the passion and intense need both Dash and Niki felt. Put in a tough situation, basically with few choices, these men were supposed to be enemies and instead felt a strong pull toward one another.
I was kept on pins and needles, waiting to see who would win the fight for power, and whether or not Niki and Dash had a future together. The book doesn't have that long of a page count and, thanks to the fast paced plot, I made it to the end without even realizing it. Suspenseful, full of tension, with plenty of twists and turns, and with a dash of romance and passion, the book was an engrossing ride. A must read. ...more

From a one night stand to a no-strings kind of arrangement, where the lines definitely got blurred, until eventually the boundaries completely disappeared... and Beau and Fraser fell in love, somewhat reluctantly. Pretty straightforward, emotional development, with extra spice. Beau and Fraser had a great chemistry and their sex scenes were incredibly steamy, while the romantic buildup offered very little drama or angst. I found myself completely drawn in. I adored both Beau and Fraser, and wanted nothing more than for the two of them to take what they found in each other and run with it.
Plaything was a real treat. Well written characters, believable romantic development and a hot dynamic, wrapped up with a fulfilling HEA...loved it!...more

The stars of the book, Avi and Felix were an experience all on their own. They're unadulterated intensity and chaos, pure emotion and fire. They have gritty sides to their personalities, for sure, and I loved discovering other dimensions to them. Also, seeing them learn about all the reasons why they belonged together, the passion and the depth of their feelings, and the extremes they went to for one another was an absolute wild, powerful ride.
This is a book that you'll find hard to put down. I for one, couldn't get enough of Avi and Felix together, and I definitely can't wait to see them and the rest of the characters next in the series....more

Avril Ashton has given so much background story and character development that I became completely invested in the protagonists' lives and cheered for them to fight for their happiness .
The denial, the showing of one another's weaknesses and finally acceptance of each character's feelings gave this story so much emotional weight. I witnessed a love in the rawest, most passionate state between three amazing people who fitted together like puzzle pieces.
Thoroughly enjoyable, powerfully emotional and very steamy, More is definitely not to be missed....more
