When she surprises her boyfriend in Vegas, she finds him in bed with his married best friend. When she leaves and goes to the bar, she runs into Caspian again and in a drunken evening, they end up married. Cas had never forgotten Rys, but she's not sure she wants to be married to a famous person. They have a variety of issues that need to be dealt with, and eventually all works out for a HEA.
This combines characters from a variety of Burgoa's various series, so it was interesting to see familiar faces pop into the storyline....more

Instead, she hops in a float plane headed to Sandspit, BC... with the lastest hotshot hockey player on her father's team - Sean Knox. She has no idea who he is until after her return to Seattle, but the chemistry was pretty hot in Sandspit. To save her reputation and business, she blackmails him into being her "pretend" boyfriend. Pretty soon it doesn't feel like pretend to either of them and eventually they sort through their own issues to see what they have with each other for the HEA.
Language, minimal amounts of bedroom scenes, with a reasonable story. Slow starting but improved as it went. Really a 3.5....more

She's had a crush on him forever. When they hook up in an alcohol induced haze after the championship party, Justin pretends he doesn't remember it, but he does. Elise does her best to get over it, but can't. Three months later they finally admit their attraction, but still have some insecurities and issues to work out. Eventually they get their HEA.

Zan dances for a few weeks and then cons the football coach into letter her use the lacrosse field. The girls (14 of them) begin to learn how to play football thanks to Zan's friend Rinehart and Coach O'Hara. They go on to play during the halftime of the Dogwood Bowl (State championship) and win against the opposition's JV's. Zan gets the most valuable player award from the press, and the gym will be ready in time to play basketball.
Funny story, but unfortunately a true representation of how girls sports are viewed (in the 1970's). Easy to read, good glossary of football terms. Probably for 7-9 graders....more

Both try to forget the other - Drew marries a hockey floozy and has two adorable daughters before she dumps him with the girls - and Brooklyn finally meets a guy who loves her and they get engaged. But neither are happy and it takes some serious heart wrenching revelations to finally get the two together....more

When the story opens, Sudden, Coach Calvin, and "Champion" are returning by car from a meet in Arizona. On the road they discover an Indian girl with tremendous running ability. They pick up Fox and bring her back to Utah with them where the Coach tries to make her run in his style. Fox refuses in her own special way to cooperate. A friendship between Fox and Sudden develops. In the process Sudden discovers anew the pleasure of running. The finale is when Sudden and Fox run the relay in the next Olympics and win this time.
Interesting book - well done. One of those books I found hard to put down once I started to read it. It's a unique and exciting sports story with some insights into the Indian mentality included as well as the emphasis on women's sports....more
