It's 2025 we as a society collectively need to see this series for what it is: terrible world building, weak undefined magic system, rot with plot holes, fat phobic, homophobic, racist, and women hating. I will double down on my belief that JK Rowling hates women. There isn't a single good representation of a woman in this entire series. Every female character is mocked for being girly or showing interest in femininity. The only women who are celebrated in this series are women like Hermione who never holds the men in her life accountable for their bad behavior, never request her needs be met by the men in her life, and always solves the men in her life's problems, while putting the women around her down for not kissing Harry and Ron's asses as well as she does. Then there's the perfect mother, i.e. Lilly, Molly, Tonks, and Narsissa, who stress over and over again that nothing is as important as a mothers love, and the only meaningful thing a woman can do is love her children. Add in the knowledge that J.K. is a raging trans hater. There's no reason to be reading this series or giving this hateful billionaire your time and money!
This is my hill to die on and I will be a J.K. hater to the day I die....more
It's so embarrassing that I read this. The plot started plotting, but idk if I can continue this series and still possess any dignity. 10/10 recommendIt's so embarrassing that I read this. The plot started plotting, but idk if I can continue this series and still possess any dignity. 10/10 recommend for the vibes if you lack self-respect and aren't afraid of the laundry list of trigger warnings that come with this manga. It's Mafia Boss/ex Mafia Prince/cute boy love triangle (read at your own risk)....more
Sue me, I'm actually enjoying this. Where the first book flopped with a boring love triangle, the second book excels in the love triangle department. Sue me, I'm actually enjoying this. Where the first book flopped with a boring love triangle, the second book excels in the love triangle department. It's trashy and messy and full of manga mafia spice, with an extra large side of CHEATING, but I'm having fun. I just want all three to end up together. Ditch the cheating and make it work as a three-way. Please give the people what they want....more

However, my curiosity died throughout hundreds of pages of physical abuse, substance abuse, homophobia, self-harm, and stupid decisions. I am okay with the incorporation of darker themes into the stories I read. However, I draw the line at unlikeable idiots set on their own self-destruction. Taylor is a prime example of a self-destructive, homophobic, abusive piece of shit. I don't care that he feels justified because of his daddy issues. I don't care that his mom left him. For me, I wish he died when he drunkenly wrapped his stolen car around a tree. It would have saved me from having to suffer the rest of this bullshit. As for the other MMC, his name was Huckslee. That name is a crime all on its own. But what was more criminal than pretending to care about a golden boy named Huckslee was trying to understand why he cared so much about his abusive, homophobic, moron of a stepbrother. Did I mention they're stepbrothers? My bad for walking right into the incest of the situation. Sometimes, I actually should do my research before reading....more
