I really enjoyed this and wanted more...novella could have been fleshed out even more. I loved how Jody was unapologetically gay; he had to stand up to his brother and had no shame in servicing guys at the glory hole. Ryker also tugged at my heart strings...he was a big tough guy with a heart of gold.
Very sweet and would have gotten 5 stars, but the car stuff was a little lost on me :D

I remember reading about Willa in Protecting What's His but didn't realize she had her own story. She wins a photography contest and gets a one month vacation in Ireland. When she meets Shane who's there to bring her to his pub/boarding house, their prickly personalities immediately clash.
Their attraction slowly builds and I've got to admit that for a New Adult book, the steam factor and sexual chemistry between these two is SUPER HOT!!!...more

There was so much happening...(view spoiler)[ Colton's recovery from the horrible accident, the false baby scare with Tawny (we never do find out who the father is!), Zander's father showing up and trying to kill Rylee, the miscarriage, finding out that Rylee can have children and the kinda sappy wedding (hide spoiler)]. The scavenger hunt was really cute but I found some parts a little over the top in corny romance.
I liked the 1 year later and 10 years later epilogues. They gave me a nice HEA conclusion....more
Well the cliff hanger gets resolved pretty quickly and to tell you the truth, nothing much happens in this sequel...except a whole lot of DRAMA.

Rylee lost some ground with me here with all her crying, moping and once again DRAMA. Way too much internal monologues. We did however get to know more about Colton's troubled childhood which gave his character more depth. Boy that guy is just sex on a stick yummy.
I sure hope book 3 is better cause I'm kinda feeling a little disappointed.
Oh yeah! another cliffy to top it all off. ...more

This is Ty's story and I totally fell for him. (view spoiler)[ His dyslexia and his struggles to hide his inability to read were so endearing. (hide spoiler)] I must admit that at first Imogen kinda got on my nerves. She wasn't just analytical and logical but seemed to be missing that very important filter between your brain and your mouth. The chemistry though was scorching hot and I just wanted more....more

But I have to admit that he did grow on me after a while. I just love his dog Baxter. We get to see that the macho man-whore persona is just a shield to protect his damaged soul.
This book reminds me a lot of 50 Shades of Gray...along with the unfortunate cliffy.
One strong component to this story is Rylee. She is a very strong heroine and quite mature and responsible for her age...not so much girly DRAMA which usually comes with these types of books.
So glad I waited so that I can read all 3 installments at once. On to Fueled......more
