There's not much I can say about this book without giving something away. This is my least favorite Freida so far. It was entertaining enough, but it didn't hold my attention like all her other books I've read. And as things wrapped up, I felt I was reading just a typical thriller. Not a twisty, crazy Freida book. But, like I said, it was entertaining enough and I didn't see it coming at the end. I did listen to this via audio and enjoyed the narration....more

Crow is like no other character I've read. He grew up in a colt on a mountain. He's never known anything else. As he grew into a man, he learned to live his life on his own away from civilization. But he still would need to come into town every now and then. One day while shopping, he comes across some bullies. This is where Cyrus comes to his rescue. Cyrus hasn't had the best past. He moved to this small town to start over. Meet new people. Try for a better life.
I truly did enjoy this story. And the audio was fantastic. Our narrator really brought Crow's character to life. He and Cyrus's story of finding each other and falling in love was beautiful. And sexy. Like I said, I lost interest towards the end, but our guys get a nice HEA....more

But things didn't go as expected and his proposal gone wrong goes viral. He then vows to take advantage of now being single to get more experience.
Rylan is a hockey player who meets Hayes at a bar by chance. He's just looking for a fun time for the night when he and Hayes decides to hookup. Rylan ends up playing the best game of his life after their hookup.
Hayes is getting experience and Rylan has a new good luck charm.
This was so much fun. I loved both Hayes and Rylan's characters. There's also a good back story with Hayes and his ex which added to the whole story.

Garreth is a law student and Kayden is his Criminal Law professor. Both characters can be unlikable in the beginning. But my uneasiness turned into I couldn't get enough of them. Both characters have their own issues. But together, they were beautiful. I don't really know what else to say about this book. There is a lot going on. I stayed invested in their story. And was pulling for them and their HEA.

Jonah is a former hockey star turned new hockey coach for a high school hockey team. Damon is a senior on said hockey team. He also has a very in your face attitude and is not afraid to be who he is. Openly gay. When he sets his sights on his new coach, nothing will get in his way.

While there, a winter storm hits and they get stuck in this house until the roads clear. Being bored and restless, they start to explore. Tricia finds recordings of Dr. Adrienne Hall's patient sessions. Adrienne was a psychiatrist who vanished without a trace. Other than a few unrealistic events to this story, I absolutely loved it. Freida's twist get me every time....more

Poe has a very popular podcast where you can call in and anonymously tell the world about a crime you committed. One day a caller calls in and tells Poe that he killed her mother. But Poe doesn't believe him. She already knows who her mother's killer was. And she killed him. So this person can not be who he is claiming to be. Or is he? Who did Poe kill?
Don't get me wrong. This was a great read. I loved the podcast vibe in the book. The chapters were short. I had a great time. The audio is phenomenal! I just wasn't surprised about the twist and I didn't particularly like how it ended. But I get it. ...more

Brandon, aka Lotus Flower, is our British golden boy. Sweet baby Bran. He is also broken and hides behind this persona of having it all figured out. And he tries so hard to believe he's straight.
Nikolai, or Niko, is our lovable bad boy. And he is determined to have Brandon.
I loved how Niko pursues Brandon. Knowing Brandon is straight, or so he says, he does everything in his power to get him. Their road from enemies to lovers is a tough one, but when we get to the end of that road, it's worth the wait.
This was very emotional at times. And on the darker side of my usual MM reads. But I loved it. I think the audio is the way to go for this one. It's read as a duet with a cast of narrators. Everyone has a voice. Fantastic!

Taylor and Huckslee were friends, once upon a time. But one little incident drew them apart and the ugly bullying began. Then Taylor's mom and Hucks dad get married and these frenemies become step brothers.
The story takes place over a matter of years. Huckslee goes off to college to play football. Taylor stays in their hometown making his living with motocross.
I went back and forth on disliking one of our mc's. But I was also wanting them to be together so bad. Both our characters have issues of their own to get through. Eventually they learn to help each other through them, but it was brutal getting there.

This takes place in 1920's England. Sarah Piper is a young woman looking for work through a temp agency. Alistair Gellis and his partner Matthew Ryder are ghost hunters, so to speak. While Matthew is unable to assist in their most recent case, Alistair seeks out an assistant. Sarah gets the job. Maddy was taken in by the Clare's one night when she appeared at their door, threadbare and caked with mud. They cleaned her up and cared for her. But whatever happen to Maddy got the best of her and she ended her life in the barn. Now she haunts the barn and the Clares. Now Alistair and Sarah are on the case to rid of Maddy's ghost. But Maddy needs to tell her story and she wants revenge. Matthew shows up soon to help with the case. He and Sarah form a bond and this is where the romance takes place.
It was ok. I found myself drifting while listening to the book. Sarah wasn't my favorite character. And the narration didn't help with that....more

Marsh is, I think, in his later 30's. He craves finding his perfect Sub. And he thinks he has. Until they decide to meet up and Marsh discovers it's JT. His best friend's son.
These two just can't deny the chemistry they have with each other. They've known each other for years, but now they see each other in a different light. Their relationship is so sweet. And the heartache that Marsh could lose his best friend, his found family, is crushing. I loved this story so much. And the narration was so good....more

Perry is unlike any character I've ever read before. He's hired as a hitman, but let's just say he's not very good at it. He's very nonchalant about it and the world around him. Then we have St. Clare, who's a very put together business owner. He and his brother own a night club called none other than St. Clare's. His brother goes missing. I won't give away how Perry and St. Clare meet. I feel that's something you need to experience on your own. But they end up on this hunt for St. Clare's brother. *St. Clare is actually his last name. I don't remember his first name*
From the start, I could never get into this story. Perry was such an unrealastic character, that I was just like, WTH. I couldn't connect with him, the story, nor the relationship between him and St. Clare. I lost interest very early in the book, but chose to keep going in hopes I would connect somewhere along the way. That didn't happen.
I did listen to the audio and I think that's the only way I could get through it....more

This is a story about love and loss. And how the love between 2 people can conquer even in the darkest of times.
Jesse and Leo, two beautiful souls, have the best love story. But that love story comes with a devastating time that neither one of them think they can come back from.
I loved how this story was laid out for us. Starting in present time, we deeply feel the loss this couple has just gone through. And then we go back to the beginning when Jesse first spotted Leo from across the room and just knew Leo was going to be his. These two men have very different past. I liked seeing how they came together and then how each dealt with the loss later.
There is a HEA, but you will go through some tears to get there.
Teddy Hamilton and Joe Arden did a fantastic job bringing Jess and Leo to life in their narration.

It's summer camp, August 1975. And Barbara Van Laar is missing. Fourteen years prior, Barbara's brother Peter (aka Bear), went missing as well. So what's up with the Van Laar children? There are also several time lines as we follow a good many characters dating back to 1950. All leading up to the disappearances. There was so much to this story. Mystery as well as a great plot twist at the end. It was fascinating to read.

Nora Davis is a respected surgeon, but she has a past that she keeps hidden. Her father was a serial killer 26 years ago and is now in prison. She hasn't seen or spoken to him since he was caught. She was raised by her grandmother. She's changed her name and does not associate herself with her father. But there seems to be a copycat among us and Nora starts questioning her past. The ending really did surprise me. I should have known Freida wouldn't let me down.
