There's not much I can say about this book without giving something away. This is my least favorite Freida so far. It was entertaining enough, but it didn't hold my attention like all her other books I've read. And as things wrapped up, I felt I was reading just a typical thriller. Not a twisty, crazy Freida book. But, like I said, it was entertaining enough and I didn't see it coming at the end. I did listen to this via audio and enjoyed the narration....more

In this twisty thriller, we follow Tricia and Adrienne. Tricia and her new hubby are going look at their possible new forever home. While there, a winter storm hits and they get stuck in this house until the roads clear. Being bored and restless, they start to explore. Tricia finds recordings of Dr. Adrienne Hall's patient sessions. Adrienne was a psychiatrist who vanished without a trace. Following Adrienne, along with the recordings Tricia has found, the truth of Adrienne's disappearance starts to unravel.
Other than a few unrealistic events to this story, I absolutely loved it. Freida's twist get me every time....more

Poe has a very popular podcast where you can call in and anonymously tell the world about a crime you committed. One day a caller calls in and tells Poe that he killed her mother. But Poe doesn't believe him. She already knows who her mother's killer was. And she killed him. So this person can not be who he is claiming to be. Or is he? Who did Poe kill?
Don't get me wrong. This was a great read. I loved the podcast vibe in the book. The chapters were short. I had a great time. The audio is phenomenal! I just wasn't surprised about the twist and I didn't particularly like how it ended. But I get it. ...more

Meghan is a full-time nurse and a single mother. While on one of her shifts, a patient named Caitlyn is brought in. She's in a coma with traumatic brain injuries after jumping from a bridge. But did she really jump? Or could she have been pushed? Before she realizes it, Meghan is getting too close to this patient and her family. But something is not right with them. There's also a serial killer on the loose. Attacking women very close to where Meghan and her daughter, Sienna, live.
This was a super slow burn thriller for at lease half the book. But once we get passed that, the plot got very interesting with a few good twist. Overall, I thought the book was good and really enjoyed the second half of it. The audio is the way to go with them. Very good narration from Andi Arndt....more

She will be dropping her infant off at daycare and thought her husband, Luke, would want to accompany her. But Luke is no where in the house. Did he leave for work already? Did he tell Cam bye and kiss her on the cheek without her realizing it? There is only a note left behind that says "If anything". Next thing she knows, Luke is involved in a hostage situation. But why?
Even though this sounds promising, this was a miss for me with this author. I was bored for the most part. The ending wrapped up nicely, but very underwhelming. I did enjoy the narration. ...more

Nora Davis is a respected surgeon, but she has a past that she keeps hidden. Her father was a serial killer 26 years ago and is now in prison. She hasn't seen or spoken to him since he was caught. She was raised by her grandmother. She's changed her name and does not associate herself with her father. But there seems to be a copycat among us and Nora starts questioning her past. The ending really did surprise me. I should have known Freida wouldn't let me down.
I did listen to this via audio and did not like the narrator. So, I don't know if it was that or if the story just didn't grab me like they usually do. Still a solid 3 star though....more

As usual, I had the best time with this book. This story does revolve around bullying. But it's more in the background so I don't think it's too triggery. But if you are sensitive to bully topics, go in with caution.

It's twelve years later and Sarah is divorcing her second husband, Bob. You really need to read the first book to get the full effect of this second book. I don't want to give too much away about it. But this was wild! Plot twist after plot twist after plot twist! Sarah is not playing this time around. She is a woman not to be messed with.

Yes, I have read some of her books that are not as good as the other, but I just have the best time when reading a Frieda book. I haven't read all of them, but this one is my favorite to date.
Blake is at a very good point in his life. A dream job. A fiancé he loves and can't wait to marry. And now an expensive brownstone to start their new lives together. But sadly, Blake ends up losing his job and he doesn't know how he's gonna make next month's mortgage. In comes the tenant. After going through several applicants, all of which were horrible, Whitney seems to be the perfect fit for Blake and his fiancé, Krista. Or is she? Little things start to happen at first that don't sit well with Blake. These little things progress to bigger and somewhat disgusting things. And now Blake is ready to get rid of Whitney.
I had the best time with this book. So entertaining. And yes, Goldie the fish was a great character. I also loved that the story was mostly told through Blake's POV. And Freida does not disappoint! There were so many twist and turns in here, I could hardly keep up. ...more
