This time it lands on Wyoming, so she books an Airbnb on a ranch. There she meets the very handsome Calvin. The owner of the Airbnb. And here is where an unexpected romance starts. Which I was not into. I felt it was too insta lovey. Or should I say lusty. As well as just super cheesy. Things don't really pick up until midway through the book. The police are looking for a missing girl. Grace thinks she hears screaming at times. A love triangle starts up. And Grace starts to feel a bit uneasy at times. I will say that I was into it once the craziness started to happen, but the ending was anti-climatic for me. It just kind of left me going, ooookkaaaaayyyy. The audio was good. The male was read by one of my favorite MM romance narrators, so it through me off and was making me want to listen to a MM romance. LOL! I will say it's worth a read though. Or a listen....more

Of course, we all know how this will end, but I'll let you find out for yourself.

Luke and Tanner have been good friends and fellow football players. Both are on different levels of their careers. Luke being twenty-eight is only getting started with his professional career. Tanner being thirty-two is ready to settle down. Both are very attracted to the other. After an auction for a charity where Luke decides to bet on Tanner, their dates turn into more then what they bargained for. And now they can't get enough of each other.
Short and sweet is what this story is. But it still packed a punch and I fell in love with these guys. The audio was fantastic as well....more

Roman and Ethan already have somewhat of a past. With that said, there is an age gap between them. Their past is really what makes the story, so I won't spoil that for you.
Despite Roman's past, he is an excellent chef and has been hired at Sapphire Cove. Roman is a fitness influencer, but there is a story behind that as well.
These books are just written so well. Not only is the romance there, which is a nice level of spice, but the story behind the romance really pulls you in.

Tanner offers him a place to stay while he fixes up the barn on Tanner's property. So, we know where this is going. A bi-awakening love story. But then we find the journal of Tom and Charlie's story from 1948. This is the part of the story that really intrigued me. I wanted to know what happens to Tom and Charlie.
I feel like I would have liked this better if I would have physically read it. The narration had no emotion and it was hard to get close to these characters. ...more

Skyler is 18. He is not a bad kid. But his pieces of shit parents have been putting him in these facilities to "fix him". Skyler has very high anxiety, OCD and he's also autistic. His latest "treatment" is at a rehab resort called Black Diamond. This is where he meets Nolan. Nolan is in his 30's and is a recovering alcoholic.
Skyler has always identified as gay, but Nolan was always straight as far as he is aware of. He was married and has a daughter. His journey to recovery is for her. He has a chip on his shoulder and is not fond of Skyler in the beginning. But as they get to know each other through their time at Black Diamond, it's clear they are exactly who each other needs.
I loved this story so so much. There is a bit of an age gap, obviously, which Nolan does have a problem with in the beginning, but Skyler is such an old soul, you don't feel it or see it. ...more

I'm not an avid Fantasy reader. It's hard for me to review this without giving too much away. There are so many details in these books, sometimes my head is spinning with them.
I will say that I love the dragons though. And I'll probably pick up the third book when it comes out due to the fact that I'm sort of invested in these characters. And the events that happened in the end has definitely left me curious.
Whew! I made it through! And it didn't take me long to read it because I couldn't put it down. The writing was exceptional!

To be honest, I wasn't planning on reading this book. I didn't realize it is part of the Lost Boys universe. After I read the author's note in Every Breath After, I jumped right into this book. I had to know what happen to Izzy. Even though I did not like her character in EBA (see my review for that book), I just had to know. I'm not gonna give any of the plot here in this review. I feel like you need to go into this not really knowing anything, except the fact that it's Izzy's story after she goes missing. That's all I'm gonna say. But please, please, please read the trigger warnings before you just dive in to the book. There are A LOT. It's very dark and disturbing to read at times. And also, please read the author's note after any of her books. It's like she's there for you at the end to make sure you are ok. It's almost a palette cleanser to have her there at the end.
I can't wait for whatever comes next. Whether it's the continuation of Mason and Jeremy's story or Izzy's. And how will the end of this book affect Mason and Jeremy??
Before I go, know that this book is MMFM. I wasn't sure how I felt about that until it was laid out in front of me to read. And wow! Just, wow....more

There are so many details to a fantasy, it's hard to break it down. I loved Violet though. She is our main protagonist. Once I take to a character, I'm in. There is a rivalry between her and Xayden, who I also loved, that turned into a super hot romance. And there are dragons! Which I surprisingly loved most about this book. The banter between the human and their dragon was hilarious.

Connor and Logan, from book 1, are finally getting married! But they can not agree on anything. So they hire the famous event planner, Richard Merriweather. Richard's personal life, however, is not going as well as his career. Donnie Bascombe is Logan's best friend. Logan wants Donnie to help with the event planning on his behalf. Donnie is a former porn star and now owns the studio and continues to make top notch porn. He's just behind the camera now. So when he realizes he'll be working with the handsome event planner, Donnie does his best to not try to seduce Richard. Richard doesn't make it easy for Donnie which adds to their chemistry. But as they work together, Donnie comes to really respect Richard and sees the man behind the event planner. In true Christopher Rice fashion, not only do we have the budding romance of Richard and Donnie, we get some family drama and a little suspense mixed in.
As always with these books, I loved it. Not my favorite, but still a great read. Or listen. I highly recommend the audio. Mr. Rice himself narrates and does a fantastic job....more

Yes please! And thank you!
I loved Ben and Ryan's obsession with each other and then their curiousness about how it would feel to give in to this obsession. So hot. And the story was really good too. But then Jessica gets involved and I wasn't really feeling it anymore. I know. I know. I'm sorry. I'm just a mm romance lover. Why throw a female in when the mm relationship is so good?? I get it though. I do. And trust me when I say I was definitely intrigued on how this was going to pan out.
All in all, a very well written story. And like I said, Ben and Ryan were super hot together....more

Griff and Heath have been best friends longer than they can remember. Griff has always been honest about his sexuality as a bi man. Even though he ended up marrying his high school sweetheart and the only person he's ever been with. But after years of marriage and a son, they have decided that they are both not happy with each other. Once his son goes to college, Griff and his wife separate and Griff is welcomed into the Divorced Men's Club with open arms. While tying to help his friend get out there and get laid, Heath and Griff start to feel things for each other.

So of course the books starts us off before the first book takes place. I love how the author writes this series around the events of the first book. Genius! I loved learning where Lex came from and how he ended up in Alabaster. He's my favorite character next to Dash. And Ren is just a fascinating character. I knew his background would be dirty. Tehe! These two guys are so sexy together. And the fact that Lex was holding back just added to the sexual tension.
The ending does leave us with sort of a cliffhanger. So I can't wait to see what happens next!...more

Troy and Atlas are stepbrothers. Troy is openly gay. Atlas identifies as straight. But he has always been fascinated with Troy. Which leads to a lot of teasing to Troy. I liked how they were not enemies though. The stepbrother trope has been done so many times and mostly they are enemies. But Atlas is more protective of Troy. I really liked that about this story. Atlas has a soft side too that Troy will eventually find out. There is also a background story about their mom and dad. I actually really liked this as well. This plot kept the story interesting and not just a romance. I also listened to this via Audible and really enjoyed the audio. Although at times, it was hard to recognize who's POV we were getting.
