I love the poetic way this book was written. It does have a slight touch of Magic Realism. The way the characters are written you can feel all their pain and emotions. I would recommend this book to all who would love a quick touching read....more

This story had chapters written in 3rd person which was hard to read when I prefer first person. I did enjoy some of the back story on the characters and enjoyed these chapters very much. I found the book a little long for what it was about and I had a hard time enjoying any of the characters. I couldn't stand Claire and her stalkerish ways. Either way it was more about the characters then anything else. 3 1/2 ⭐⭐⭐ from me.

This book takes place in alternate time periods. It takes place in 2018 with Morgan Christopher striking a deal to restore an old mural in time for a grand opening of a gallery. The other time period is 1940 when Anna Dale wins a contest to paint a mural for a town to put up in the post office. Anna Dale doesnt know what she is getting herself into when she accepts this job.
This book was filled with a lot of mystery and exciting characters. I loved the writing and how Diane Chamberlain just grasped me from the beginning and I just couldn't put this down. Well worth the read....more

I found it took me a little to get into this read. After reading for a bit I found the pacing to get better and I was really getting into the story. I found a few things that irked me like the fact that Ruby kept telling her mom that Hannah was not a nice person and she wouldn't believe her. Also how quickly she was to move Hannah into her mother's home. There was some other things but I dont want any more spoilers. Overall I give this a 3.5 stars⭐

Even though this book is a work of fiction there is a lot of nonfiction through out the book such as kid soldiers and the government. I liked how informative it was along with its poetic words in the story. I also enjoyed the mother daughter relationship in this book.

I LOVED this story. I loved the adventure these four characters are sent on and how different each one was to make this story magical. I loved everybody they meet on this journey and their significance to the story. I would give this story 100 stars if I could. If you could take a novel that is almost 400 pages and I feel like I dont want it to end that is a Great storyteller.
