Raven is a teenage girl with lot's of problems but no solutions. Living in the shadow of her mother, she is constantly bullied and she has no other choice but to fight back. Raven has been doing that her whole life and it seems that isn't going to stop at Brayshaw High. I think trouble finds her pretty easily. It's the first day of school and Raven attracts the attention of the Boys of Brayshaw High and in not a good way. Everyone tries to shut her up because no one messes with those boys. And more importantly, no one likes to change the hierarchy... I liked Raven even when she was a bit too much for me. I guess when you a fight is all you know, you can't just stop.

The trio, the so-called Boys of Brayshaw High - Maddoc, Captain & Royce, are respected but feared. They're the Kings and they say when, how and who. While everyone loves them, I'm not such a huge fan. Yeah, they care for each other, even though they aren't blooded family. Still, I feel like the three of them could have been one or two. For me, they're too similar and I wish there was more background to back up those personalities. Also, Maddoc was all bark and no bite to me. Still, I liked the dynamic between all four of them.
Everything was fun until the second half of the book when nothing really happened. I felt like it could have been shorter. Also, some public displays in front of Raven could have been better off. While Boys of Brayshaw High didn't excite me so much, I would still read the next book. Raven is real, so I would give her a chance. I know that probably she's going to suffer a lot in future. So when everything clears up, I hope that the boys do some work to get her back. I hate when the forgiveness is given easily. I hope we won't wait long for the sequel.

That crime-ridden city is incredibly unbelievable, also the characters don’t exactly stand out. It was so predictable that I literally skipped a few chapters. Oh, and I knew who the "supervillain" was from the beginning. It doesn’t help that the book is also way too long. I couldn't believe how slow everything happened. I don't remember reading a story so immature and shallow. Honestly, I read all these lavish reviews and thought wow, that would be awesome! Mhmm no, a big NO! And the really funny thing... you can be an ordinary person but wake up one day and have superpowers... Like no one tries to find out the reason why... No one cares! I wouldn't recommend this book. It's a waste of time.

I have been seeing it for years but since I'm not such a big fan of werewolves I skipped it more than a few times. Lately, I had nothing to read so why not? I didn't have high expectations, so I would say the story is developed well. It was rather quiet, not much action happening. Sam was kinda okay, too decent for me and unrealistic. Oh, and emotional... While Grace was plain boring and selfish. Yeah, I kept hearing that Grace is so good and caring but to who? Not her parents or her friends... she's devoted only to Sam. The writing was pretty average but the slow development was killing me. I don't know how can I continue to come across such books... It's frustrating! And I thought this book was okay with me! Wow... :D
