This was an interesting one for me. I'm currently on my fantasy binge but need romance so it's keep your friends close and your enemies closer, right?
This was an interesting one for me. I'm currently on my fantasy binge but need romance so it's been a trickier task finding reads that tickle my pickle. This was a win for sure.
Oraya was a young human girl found in rubble surrounding by death and destruction by no other than the vampire king. Interestingly enough that little girl showed nothing but fight when faced with was appeared to be death. So the obvious choice was for the king to keep his little serpent with sharp teeth. Keep her he did. Oraya grew up to be the daughter of the vampire king. The human daughter. Her life was not an easy one though being a human amongst only vampires. Essentially she's swimming in a shark tank and she was the food. Now she new how to fight and survive but she never really lived. Her entire live was spent being on edge looking for danger because unfortunately for her she lived with it behind her every given moment.
I liked her character. I do feel on times she was spiting herself with her stubbornness but then considering the fact that she has had to grow up that way.. Being a teammate is not something she's ever had to do. Selfish meant safer. She was strong despite the odds against her and when you delve under the curtain you see the sweet that's never really been nurtured.
Raihn I just loved him. Now did the end have me gaping? YUP. But his character is delicious. He was a sarcastic witty vampire who understood what it meant to be a human and a vampire. Who never forgot them or the enjoyments of human life. He was also super protective and sweet despite being hissed at by our girl and her non existent fangs.
I really enjoyed their slow burn journey. Opposites attract and all that. Their chemistry blossomed in surprising ways I really enjoyed and I'm a sucker for enemies to lovers. This has a little that to it. The world itself it's refreshingly unique and for a foundation I feel like the world building was nicely paced and built well without giving us everything all at once. I was intrigued, excited and frustrated all at once. Then there is that ending?! betrayals, heartbreak and anger is a heavy way to start the next read but boy and I excited to and to get some damn answers.

Ok we have Avi the emo artist free spirit and Ky the jock ahole.
Avi I loved him. Truly he was just a really likeable and easily relatable character. He didn't have a easy life loosing his dad young but his mum was an angel and they supported one another. Avi was introverted but grew to have some great people around him and started to finally a place that he fit into. He made a choice after a friend made suggestion about earning money ... OF and he flurished with that idea despite being awkward and nervous. He was easy to like. Straight to the point but sweet and more understanding than some.
Kyran, oh my little turd. He frustrated me beyond belief with his outburst but to some degree I understood that there was clearly reasoning behind it. Now...... does that excuse his actions? NOPE. But it made reading his outbursts easier. The moments where he let the defensiveness fall? Oh he was sugary sweet in ways that gave me a damn toothache. There was so much to give with this man who had big dreams and bigger fears and even bigger secrets.
I liked them together. the chemistry is crazy and even though bully is not my thing.. I do love enemies to loves and I enjoyed that Avi was no pushover.
I did feel like this was longwinded. I get character development and build up to big reveal.. But there was a lot of scenes that felt repetitive. I did however really enjoy the end and that Avi didn't make him grovel for years... given the situation Ky did the right thing. Should he have explained that before? yes. But that was needed for them both to flourish and Avi then took his time to feel before opening back up again. I liked that.
In typical Nyla fashion she served spice and goodness with some soul crushing heartache and then a brilliant rebuild to HEA. definitely recommend....more
I hate writing reviews for continuous series' because it isn't well formed because there is no whole picture. JusI feel like I'm middle ground here..
I hate writing reviews for continuous series' because it isn't well formed because there is no whole picture. Just a snippet in the moment. At least until the end anyway. At that point at least for me I can look back at choices and get a real feel on how impactful that was to the full picture.
So with that being said.. This is the first in the series and fantasy so it goes without saying the world building and development from the foundation up is a little more girthy on the information overload. A lot is unknown and only fragments of information is fed to us throughout. Enough to enthral but not enough to guess what's going on so as not to ruin the entire series. It's hard to find the balance and for me I feel like it's difficult to have a solid feel of it until I'm in book two.. Obviously this only matters in cases where I'm intrigued enough to continue.
All that to say..
I don't have a set feeling on this series yet having just finished book 1. I have never read anything by this author so I have no idea of any other written works from her. I did very much enjoy her writing style though. Even in parts where characters did things I did not like I could still continue through because the writing is great.
Now I have read plenty of dark romance... So bully asshole alphas do not turn me off. However I struggle to feel much when it comes to Theon. I just felt like he came across like he had no clue what he was doing. Having a tantrum over not being able to control a woman who did not want what he choose for her. Belittling her in the name of it is the way it is... Throwing her into situations where she would fail then being angry because she proved them all right... He gave immature trying to be grown whilst also pleading its for the good of the world which honestly didn't read well for me. It made feel indifferent towards him. Did he have a saucy mouth on times? yup. Did he give glimpses of dark and delicious and sweet hoty? yup. But nothing consistent enough for me to feel more that hmm about him.
Tessa I liked a whole lot more than Theon because at least she was true to herself in her actions. Her mind made sense. The distrust, the fear, the hate, the want but the need to be free. I got it all from her. Did she act like a brat on times? yup but again valid given the situation. She was the most clear cut character for me and the most relatable.
I enjoyed both Luka and Axel even if on times they did stupid shit. I'm also intrigued to know more about them..
As a whole some parts where long winded whilst others so brief I wanted more time there. I did enjoy the world building and I'm curious about the magic system of sorts and how that's all going to pan out in book 2. Especially given Tessa's reveal.
I will definitely be going into book two because I feel like this was just the foundation and that is where the fun will begin and the characters will start to come into their own more. I'm sat in the middle on this first one but honestly that means nothing in the world of fantasy for me.. many a first book were not a huge hit whilst the rest of the series became an absolute favourite. It's got to start somewhere. I also think the first book makes more sense once you've read the second and have more information on why certain things happened or why they the characters acted the way they did.....
Honestly people are getting wild with their defensiveness on what they perceive to be slow burn, enemies to lovers... fantasy.. it's a damn book.
For Honestly people are getting wild with their defensiveness on what they perceive to be slow burn, enemies to lovers... fantasy.. it's a damn book.
For me personally because of the types of books I most often read.. this would be and I do consider it to be a slower burn. That being said.. action happens before 50%. Do with that what you will and if you fancy it .. happy reading.
I'm a mood reader through and through and I'm most definitely in my fantasy cravings era and this gives that.
Why not a 5? because its single POV. I hate not getting the perspective of at least the two main characters. No matter how great the writing, It will always leave me feeling a little disconnect to the character who's head I don't get to dig into.
Saeris I found to be very likeable. She's a young woman who's been through way to much in her few years of living. She has a chip on her shoulder and an attitude to match. Did that get her into trouble more often then not? absolutely. However it's also the thing that saved her in many other ways. She loved hard, fought with everything in her and never gave up. I also just found her ability to wind everyone up hilarious.
Kingfisher aka fisher is a foul mouthed grump. The man has zero chill. Zero manners and no fucking patience to be seen. But the more you dig beneath the layers the more you find why he has walls built so high and why his life has become a fighting pit of despair and destruction. Did he do shitty things? yup but does he also have a sweet side that for me personally made up for it?... YUP. I love an asshole what can I say. Would having his POV made a huge difference? for me .. YES. I want to know his thoughts and feelings and how he processed everything. I wanted to know him from him not from the biased few of another perspective.
The world building I found to be really good for the foundation. This is book one so laying the bones means an overload of information and most times that doesn't always make a whole lot of sense or can leave you with more questions. I feel like Callie did a good job of building the world and making it palatable to digest without giving too much all at once.
I really enjoyed the development of Fisher and Saeris. I liked the whole enemies to lovers I hate you but want to fuck you vibes. The bickering and pushing boundaries only served to stir the pot building the tension for the inevitable explosion and it was worth it. I ate it up and believed every minute of them and that connection.
The side characters are fun and have me very intrigued which in itself is a great thing. It means more to look forward to and love and hopefully more stories outside of F+S to be had. Now there are some great revelations as well as a cliffhanger at the end which because I went in blind I had no idea about.. stupid on my part, I fucking hate cliffhangers. so I'm no sure where this series is going but I have to say I'm excited to see it grow and flourish into what could be something great.
I really enjoyed this read and now the sad wait for what's next must commence. ...more

Bridesmaid Undercover brings you Hardy and Everly's story To peak in this authors brain ... because honestly how the fuck does she come up with this.
Bridesmaid Undercover brings you Hardy and Everly's story and what a rollercoaster this journey is.
Hardy bless his stubborn soul is a man who just wants to settle like everyone in his life is doing. He wants the wife, the kids and the picket fence. He has that dream. So he decides with his ex coming to town that this is the perfect opportunity to achieve that dream. Stupid man. Hardy is hilarious. He's charismatic and confident and he's kind. All round he is a great package. But this man is blind to what is right in front of his goddamnEYES.
Everly is in lust with Hardy from the minute she meets him. So instead of telling him what does she do? She agrees to help him secure his EX. OMFG!!!!!!WOMAN!!!!!!!!. This woman is gorgeous and sweet and has a great job and quite frankly is the full package but she does not see that. Nope she is a martyr who tries to help everyone else despite wanting and dreaming about exactly what Hardy dreams about. The love, the kids.. the house. My girl put herself through the ringer. Stupidly so but only served to show just how great she truly is and what a freaking catch.
These pair are so fucking frustrating because they are blind. I could TASTE the chemistry and they couldn't fucking see it?!!!!!! HOW. STUPID. However watching these two dance around the absolute obvious whilst doing the absolute most was hilarious. The sore stomach tears rolling you are laughing so hard kind of funny. But also I wanted to bang their heads together because frankly the deserved it. The lack of communication hun?!!!! WHY. but that chemistry?!!!! holy hell balls. COMBUSTABLE. These two nearly killed me off, I needed a diazepam for the stress after. What a journey.
Would I do it again? ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY. Meghan serves every time. The slow burn.. delish. The chemistry.. unmatched. The chemistry between all the characters is spot on. The world building is perfect. The pace was right for the story. The character development was right for them and their journey. It was a roller-coaster but I was so invested in this right from the start to the end and frankly I did not want to jump off. Meghan just has a way with words and the worlds she creates and they really are the best place to be.
There is so much to say and yet I don't want to because I don't want to spoil anything.
The epic tale of Finley and Nyfain reached a climatic ending iThere is so much to say and yet I don't want to because I don't want to spoil anything.
The epic tale of Finley and Nyfain reached a climatic ending in book three and what a journey to that it was.
Finley is loyal to a fault. My girl put herself through literal hell to protect the man she loves and the kingdom he protects and honours. She was steadfast in her determination to protect him from all costs. Even from himself. She stayed true to who she was not taking the easy way out and showing everything her worth.
Nyfain oh my man had it rough in this one. Enduring the love of his life suffering was the last straw. Until the end of the book that is.
This book took us on a rollercoaster of revelations whilst dragging us along for the outrageous, hilarious and downright dysfunctional. The characters are truly the gift that kept giving here and i was so curious about so many of them and what laid in their fate.
I loved how the plot took a few interesting turns making what was already a tricky story even more so. I really enjoyed the pace of the journey and the multiple POVs.
The ending wasn't a crazy surprise but one nonetheless. I and very intrigued to see how the author spins this for Nyfain and Finley in the last book.
Honestly I loved this. I felt like it gave me everything I needed and then some and now I find myself ready for their conclusion because if anyone deserves a HEA it's this pair.
Now on to the last story.. after ill round off my thoughts about the whole series. I'm to in my head about whats happened thus far to have clear thoughts....more
A continuation of book one leads us here and my friends it gets more unhinged if that is even possible.
I love Finley. She's crazy but special. NyfainA continuation of book one leads us here and my friends it gets more unhinged if that is even possible.
I love Finley. She's crazy but special. Nyfain is delicious. Wounded but still delightful, even in his rages.
This world is absolutely bonkers with so much to unravel. So I'm going to keep this one short and sweet.
Nyfain and Finley's relationship is complicated to say the least. There is so much tension. So much chemistry. A whole lot of mixed emotions and for lack of better words .. drama. Then you add in the crazy side characters, a demon king and dungeons and well... it gets messy.
K F Breene has a way with building these worlds and this is certainly no different. I was so invested in the world, in the new discoveries and the many secrets and lies that are woven withing. Then we move on to the characters that are ever evolving and it truly had me locked in.
This is book two in the series and cannot be read as a standalone. Book two gave me everything I needed and despite it being a little more lengthy.. it didn't feel drawn out. Everything felt like it had it's place and was purposeful. I felt everything and was completely invested.
Did I mention how much I laughed?... Honestly my ribs hurt.
It's not often I read twists of fairy tails but I do know I love this authors writing. Her characters are something else.
Finley is a great character. It's not often I read twists of fairy tails but I do know I love this authors writing. Her characters are something else.
Finley is a great character. I will say with certainty that she is a character you will either love or hate. I genuinely don't think there is an in-between. She's blunt abrasive and rubs people like sand paper. She reacts with passion and of course that is not always the best way. but she is unapologetically herself and that is something I will always favour in characters.
Nyfin is of course our tortured hero with the sad boy complex. I mean it's not without reason but non the less he gives emotional whiplash through out fighting his feelings for, his anger at the world and his need to protect his kingdom. I was here for it.
Book one is UNHINGED to say the least. We have a Hadriel our shame filled mediocre butler. He is just something else. Then we have Leala our little pain seeking loves to be punished lady's maid. The two together ... hysterical. I cannot.
K F Breene knows how to right a story, build a layered world and develop complex characters. She had me hook line a sinker not knowing where it was all going but fully invested nonetheless. I laughed so hard I was crying. I sat in shook more times than I care to count truly flabbergasted at the antics. I swooned, I craved, I got frustrated and celebrated the wins. It was a roller-coaster but so worth the ride.
If you're looking for series this may not be for you.. The sarcasm is potent and the crazy high. But its a world I became fully immersed in and truly I was so excited to read what came next....more

Are they toxic? Absolutely. Was I here for it? Absolutely.
Tennyson and Spencer are victims of circumstances. It's heartbreakingly sad that their love was always going to be painful. That they were a means to an end. But that was their reality. For no one leaves and lives.
Spencer did bad things to save the one she loved. Or she thought. She fought tooth and nail and persevered through a lifetime of trauma for the chance to free him. She was loyal. Painfully so. She loved with everything in her, unhealthy, so at points. It was heartbreaking to finally know her truth. Her pain. Her sacrifice. I loved her. I also loved that she never gave up.
Tennyson had me in knots. This man is seven shades of Shady but loved harder than he hated, and that is saying something because my man has some built-up hate. His confusion, frustration... hurt. I felt it all. His love? That hit even harder.
They are victims of circumstances, but neither are innocent. They made mistakes, they hurt one another, and they pushed harder than they should, but I felt it all. The hate, the love.. the need. It was toxic and all-consuming.
Their journey is by no means easy, and in parts, you'll wonder how on earth Kirsty will bring it back. How would she give them their HEA. She does. But what a ride. I felt the suspense. Rode the anger. Felt bliss in their chemistry. It was a rollercoaster!!.
Jessica Doesn't do Single parent often but when she does... boy she steals my heart.
Aurelio didn't need to meet the right woman to know exactly what hJessica Doesn't do Single parent often but when she does... boy she steals my heart.
Aurelio didn't need to meet the right woman to know exactly what he wanted from his future. He didn't need the wake up call or the kind of partner who brought out those feelings. This man was ready. This man planned his future in his mind and made his house ready for what he always knew he wanted. He just needed the right woman to have his dream with.
THIS MAN. This man right here is the PERFECT HERO. Strong, dependable, kind, understanding and patient. He was sweet but also dirty in all the ways you desire. He was protective and loyal and not the least bit afraid to show his feelings and act upon them. LEGIT PERFECTION I TELL YOU.
Claire.. sweet Claire. She despite being in a horrific situation, took the chance to warn a perfect stranger. To save a man who little did she know would become her life. She was strong, honourable, kind, loyal and loving. She did everything to protect her sweet boy and I loved her for it. She was a phenomenal mum and just an all round good person. A heroine with great growth that was believable. One I rooted for the whole damn way.
These two together gave me all the feel good cheek hurting smiles. It wasn't easy.. everything they went through was gutting to get to their HEA but them together? It made everything right. The chemistry of course was insane but the sweet connection they have? it truly was something so special. Something that made it impossible not to be happy for them, to not feel that raw love like they were two souls completely intertwined.
Also Aurelio with Judah?!!!..
A man who's good to his woman is perfection. A man that good with a baby?.. MY OVERIES COULD NEVER.
I loved their story so much I honestly can't emphasise just how happy it made me.
Also the side characters... I want Smushs story yesterday. I need to know what shenanigans she's up to. I love them all though. This world as a whole is a great place to be. Old characters popping in and new faces appearing.. It feels like home but also fresh and exciting all at the same time. Jessie can do no wrong for me she is like a comfort blanket in books. The sweet, the heartbreak, the hilarious and the suspense.. It all makes me so freaking happy. I just loved this one so freaking much....more
Hate to Love/ Enemies to Lovers. Forced Proximity Marriage of Convenience MAFIA.

Hate to Love/ Enemies to Lovers. Forced Proximity Marriage of Convenience MAFIA.
It's been done for years. The marriage of convenience, when two people from different families are forced to marry to keep war at bay and bring a union together. A treaty of sorts. With rules of course.
Isabella did not spend her day thinking her whole world was about to change when she was so rudely snapped up and taken from everything she knows, and thrown into shark territory with no chance of surviving unscathed.
Primo is a man who bleeds for the family, works for the family and keeps the family running no matter what it takes to achieve all that. He understands he has to be the bag guy but that doesn't mean he isn't traditional when it comes to his values or his wife.
Lords above these two had my gut burning and my heart feeling like it was about to pump itself out of my fucking chest. The tension was so fucking tangible I could feel myself getting angsty with anticipation.
Isabella is a sweet woman who understood the life she was born into. She had the fire and the backbone but she also had dreams of her perfect wedding and a life with the one she'd love for a life time. Obviously that guy was never meant to be Primo. Isabella showed many admirable traits through her own person journey but I think the best one was her unwavering loyalty to her family and the knowing that the sacrifices she made was to save the ones she loved. That there is true strength. The kind you can't fake. However miss Isabella is a Mafia woman and she was not about to take her captivity laying down. She showed Primo that he really didn't know her and that she would fight him every damn step of the way in ways that he couldn't stop or have any control over. Let's just say the little lamb turned into a damn lion when she wanted to.
Primo is a prime hottie asshat that I'm living and dying for. That's my toxic trait.. wanting the asshole bahahaha. No seriously, what he did is unforgivable but also genius. He knew the only way to make the families see him was to give them something that would prevent war... even if he had to take something to do that. Let just say he didn't step off on the right foot but his intentions are understood and contrary to popular belief he is a monster but he's not that kind of monster. So he stole his soon to be wife and with that he stole her dreams but he wasn't going to take what was not freely offered to him. When I tell you is man is positively lethal... the sex appeal to him is unrivalled. He isn't sweet or tender, not even a little but he is present and true to himself with a side just for Isabella that made him appear more vulnerable and easier to understand.
They had the love to hate feelings down to perfection. Her throwing sass and him soaking in the attitude was foreplay. They pushed and pulled at eachother. They broke boundaries and somewhere along the line it started to mean more. She pushed at his hard and found something fucking precious and he pulled at her resentment and found unwanted need. They bounced around eachother, they fought, they teased and lord did they build eachother up to the point you don't think they can live up to the dirty expectations you have of them. Like the tension is just that fucking high. But they did. Boy did they... it was like they just combusted because they reached the point of no return and it was at the worst time ever but still it was fucking hot and I was swoooning like a crazy bitch.
Honesty they sucked the life out of me in the best ways. Their journey is turbulent to say the least filled with so much intensity, it's almost to much. I adored the back and forth cat and mouse game. I loved watching them both loose and win simultaneously. It was a marathon not a race for sure but it was worth every single minute of the crazy.
The side characters!!!!!. Just saying but if I don't get Brio I'm going to start a war. I need my animal giving psychopath like yesterday. Then we have Vissi and Mira.... I'm curious and wanting and praying they will be a them because the chemistry they have is insane. Then we have all the other characters who add so much personality to this crazy story. I love this world, these characters and their crazy lives. There is never a dull moment and it quickly became my favourite place to be.
Oh and the story... let's just say it leads to where I never expected and shook the ever loving shit out of me. GURLLLLL. I did not see it fucking coming. Flabbergasted.
Honestly... this series is epic and this is my favourite to date.

Millie, aka Mills, is not having the time of her life despite being young and having nothing tethering her. She unfortunately fell into a bad situation because of her father and ultimately paid the biggest prize and had to bear the burden. Mills is sweet. The kind that feels too much and hurts too hard. The kind that morns stray pups and doesn't judge a man despite knowing he just buried a body I'm the equivalent of you back yard.
Silvano is a hard man. Hard to love, hard to converse with, and hard to relate to. That is until her met Mills. The one woman who wasn't offended by his gruff tone, his ocd ways, or his short fuse. He had a chip on his shoulder and no room from shenanigans, and yet with Millie, she drew him like a moth to a flame. She softened him a little, and he gave her his patience, his time... sweet caring that did seem was in his relm in previous stories.
These two are the complete opposite. She's messy and chaotic where he is neat and strategic. She feels for everything. He only feels for those he's held close, and that number is teeny. Yet they worked. They balanced one another. Her sweet to his grumpy. She brushed off the gruff, and he soaked up her sunshine. It was freaking sweet, and I loved that silvano finally got the peace he deserved, and it was all his.
Their journey, of course, was not smooth sailing, but it was filled with emotion. I loved how they progressed and the realisations that neither of them where going to let the other go. It gave me all the warm feels.
As always with Jessie, she gives us great side characters, and whilst we didn't get a massive amount of other action from them in here, we had just enough to have me curious about some other pretty faces.
Oh, and the epilogues. Jessica gave me all my hopes and wishes with her polished epilogues. I don't have time to wonder how they're doing because she gives us that, and it was everything.

I don't have time to wonder how they're doing because she gives us that, and it was everything....more
sighs all round I feel like this story brings everything full circle.
Liam has been a must needed/wanted character for a long while now and finally we sighs all round I feel like this story brings everything full circle.
Liam has been a must needed/wanted character for a long while now and finally we get to devour him!.
Riley our lovely prickly antisocial beaut now has a special place in my heart for like ever. She real. Like the relatable kind of real not a perfect sweetheart or a superhuman badass (both of which I love mind you) but there is something to be said for a raw imperfectly perfect character which you can not only relate to but feel as if parts of her are parts of you. She was irrational and flighty with awful(basically me)eating habits and an unhealthy infatuation with coffee. In other words she a real human. I loved her!. I felt like I was reading myself (I'm not nearly as talented mind you) but personality wise she is someone I want to be friends with.
Liam is essentially a grump. Antisocial with absolutely no desire to improve his lack of friends or even make small talk to his customers, he is exactly what he is. Again from one antisocial creature to another I loved that about him. His lack of wanting more than what he's just happy with. His need for books and quiet. His quirky grampa jumpers and short sarcastic Witt. He again is very relatable, raw and real. However behind that prickly nature is some sweet!. It may not be hearts and flowers but non the less his coffee craze and general appreciation for books had me loving all that is Liam. Oh that and under all that nerd is a whole lot of sexy!.
Everyone loves a filthy nerd let's be honest.
They fit perfectly together like two halfs of one prickly, antisocial, coffee crazed book loving whole. It's refreshing that reading them was so easy. I didn't have to think about them...I didn't have to work hard to imagine what they'd look like etc... it all just came to me easy because they made sense. The bickering and banter. The crazy book quotes, the knowledge between them. The sensual chemistry palpable and the connection instantaneous. It may not have been the friendliest of starts but it was very fitting for them.
Low angst it's an easy read safe to any romance lover. It focuses solely on Riley and Liam's relationship. First building that connection the friendship of sorts then moving into that relationship stage. It's sweet in a quirky realistic easy relatable way. I really enjoyed the pace in which their relationship developed and I absolutely adored the secondary characters parts in this story. It's always great having good main characters but good secondary characters are just as important for me as a reader. They give so much to the story and break up parts that need a little lightening. I feel like I need a Maude in my life. Also a Devon because what a sweetheart!. It's for sure great to hear from past characters ... even the one I love to hate Dane.
Lord it's good to be back in Stars Landing!. For a 'normal' books these stories are pretty magical to me. I also get the feeling this one is personal. I know all books are to the author but this feels more so. I could be wrong but I just had that vibe from it. Either way though this story is beautiful.
I kindly received this ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Finally we get the smooth talking Spanish hunk of handsome goodness Roderick!!!! Eeeeeeeeeeeeek.
I learned the hard way to not assume whom characters Finally we get the smooth talking Spanish hunk of handsome goodness Roderick!!!! Eeeeeeeeeeeeek.
I learned the hard way to not assume whom characters would end up with or how the story would go with this author because she always surprises me.
Roderick is everything I imagined and so much more. He has all that alpha badassness about him that will get your panties burning. But!.. he is also so fucking sweet he'll give you a toothache. Like seriously, he's kind, considerate and tentive even in the most unlikely of circumstances. Legit the perfect balance of man right there. Oh and the Naughty Spanish whispers.. oh yeah, that totally did it for me.
Livianna (Liv) is a badass to the bone with a spine of fucking steel. A survivor. I wasn't expecting her but she fit so perfectly. However despite her tough exterior she was sweet to those she loved and fiercely protective. Relatable in her struggles and easy to connect to. It's easy to forget she's a character when reading this because she felt so real.
The story was unexpected in the best way. Suspenseful, climactic, funny and sensual... the list goes on. I can't even with the greatness. The story has depth. Real raw emotion making it easy to connect to. The characters are out of this world. Dynamic personalities with palpable chemistry that draws you in from the getgo. I love the crazy family vibe and all the outrageous shenanigans that go along with them. It's nuts but lord do I love these characters and the larger then life world that comes with them.
The new faces are throwing a real spanner in the mix!. Their story's ripped my heart apart with what little I know. I'm preparing myself for the epic emotional heart ache that will no doubt come with their full stories. I need Cams story yesterday!.
I also can't help but think on who Astrid will end up loving!!. SHOOKITH with all the possibilities.

That cover though? It's beautiful and fits so perfectly with Savea and Kingston's story.
This just gives me all the freaking feels!!! Like seriously!.That cover though? It's beautiful and fits so perfectly with Savea and Kingston's story.
This just gives me all the freaking feels!!! Like seriously!.
I've been gagging for the Rivers brothers stories since the moment they came into the fold and Kingston's book was the absolute perfect way to kick this series off.
This series is a good bit lighter than some of Jessica's previous stories. It takes a little bit of a backseat in the action department and instead delves deeper into character development with more focus on the relationship(s). The story itself starts off with a bang throwing us straight into a little action/suspense making things interesting very quickly but soon jumps into the undeniable chemistry between both Savea and Kingston and of course feelings that they've been brushing under the rug for years. Everything was stripped back to the core so we get to see the foundation being built between them. The undeniable chemistry, That sweet build up of their budding relationship and of course the crazy larger than life side characters. Their story truly is romance at its best!. There's zero unnecessary drama. No cat and mouse bullshit between Savea and Kingston, it was easy because they were honest and open so it all felt so natural. Their story just fit them!. Savea's sweet loving nature was an absolute pleasure to read because you honestly can't help but love her. Kingston is the man you wish for in all romance novels!. Sweet, honest and super protective without being overbearing. Gah I can't even with the greatness.
You know how I love to say romance at its best? Well this is that tenfold. It's relatable, funny and all kinds of sweet. Oh and those epilogues... man did they give me the heart flutters!!!.
Oh pray tell Eamon Awan shall be getting a book? Seriously. I NEED IT!!!!.
Of course I'll need the rest of the Rivers bothers!! starting with the brooding handsome Nixon because YUM!.

Finally we get the why!. You can bet your ass I have spent the time since Eli's story resenting the women who lied on the stand and sent him to prisonFinally we get the why!. You can bet your ass I have spent the time since Eli's story resenting the women who lied on the stand and sent him to prison. I didn't consider the circumstances and I made no excuses for a women who sent a man to prison when he was the reason she was still alive. Hindsight is a funny thing though right?. This book give you a perfect example of why you should never judge a book by its cover or better yet a women by her lifestyle... you never know what's going on behind closed doors.
- Smith really surprised me. He almost comes across laid back if you don't count the details. One of the best fixers and I can see why. He reads, assesses and take actions. He takes in everything and thinks of every possible situation but he does it with this almost scary, cool as a cucumber exterior. The crazy part is despite that he's so different with Jenny. Sweet, attentive and thoughtful Smith is everything you could want in a hero.
- Jenny. Well I think anyone who has read Eli's book will know whom she is and quite possible not have a great opinion of her.. me included. However that quickly changed when I started reading this. She was taken away from everything she knew at 17 and thrusted into the elite life of the rich and famous. Poor little girl to rich high life socialite. Thing is it doesn't matter how pretty and presentable the goods are if it's rotten underneath and that is exactly what Teddy was.. rotten to the core. She never had a chance really.
Thoughts....
This ones a little different because it's not filled with a lot of action or suspense. You already know what's happening right at beginning of the story so it's the aftermath of the situation that you get to hear about.
The reality of Jenny's situation is truly heart breaking. Reading it is a bitter pill to swallow because not only did she not have anyone, he chipped away at who she was until there wasn't must left of her either. It's not all heartbreak though!. This is a story of self discovery, personal growth and a fight to live. She had to find herself and figure out who she was and what she wanted to do with her life.
She also had to deal with a guilt she's lived with for a long time in regards to Eli because believe me when I say no one could have made her feel any worse than she made herself feel.
It's a crazy emotional ride. I feel like the story was set from the start with the plot but grew to something much more than just that. I loved getting to watch both of them dance around eachother in denial. I loved watching them let go and enjoy one another and I fucking really loved Jenny putting her foot down and standing up to all those spineless dickwads that caused or helped cause her so much pain emotionally and physically.
The chemistry was something magical between Jenny and Smith. Despite being from different worlds they really weren't that different. The character growth is tremendous. The story flows perfectly letting us feel everything that's happening and take it all in. The side characters just breath more life into these stories adding so much to an already bursting book. This book had a different feel to it and I love it hard. This crazy world and the brilliant characters are just everything and more. Never a dull moment that is for sure.
I'd honestly go as far to say Smith and Jenny are my favourite of the series so far!! I can't even explain how good they are without giving away the best parts so I'm going to leave it here and advise you to read it!!!.
Those fucking epilogues kill me mun. Always end up in tears at the sweetness of them all. Also.. Bellamy kidnapping the kid! I about died laughing.
Also Nia?????!! All kinds of curious now.

I'm so gratefBe warned this review will probably be a hot mess. It's nothing new for me but when I'm excited it tends to get a tad mumble jumble ha!.
I'm so grateful I waited to read Into The Green because I'm fortunate enough to have not waited long for this story!. It's been a long time coming and I can understand the anticipation for it because just what a series this is turning out to be and it's only two stories in.
Finally it's Drake and Amethyst's story and holy cow Jessica doesn't disappoint.
Drake having been held captive for YEARS! Has lost any and all concept of time and reality. His life truly hasn't been his for so long he doesn't even remember a life not being owned. Yet despite the hardships and yes that man went through absolute HELL!... they did not break him. Being stripped of everything will scar you in ways you cannot imagine yet his unwavering determination to not break held him together despite being beaten and regardless of his appearance he was solid. Scarred but not broken.
Amethyst is for sure the underdog. For so long she has been but a mere shadow in the corner. Always underestimated and forever overlooked for being the innocent incapable child. Boy did they get her wrong. She isn't bold or self assured but she's definitely the silent kind of strong, The best kind of good and the sweetest gentle there is. A heart of gold she couldn't leave knowing Drake was there so she got him out risking everything and despite knowing the consequences proved herself to be not only selfless but pretty darn courageous.
Despite their differences they both suffered and while they didn't break they didn't get to leave unscathed. Their journey wasn't ever going to be easy but I'm pleasantly surprised at the path in which it took them. It's a story of learning, understanding, Growth and confidence. The chemistry between the characters is palpable from the start building slow and steady at a great pace that was perfect for them. Nothing is rushed and glossed over instead we get to really understand them individually aswell as together making it more believable and easy to relate to. Its sweet and gentle and everything that fits them.
The story isn't a crazy action packed plot. It's slow in its build but spot on in the delivery. I loved getting to know them whilst they got to know themselves and eachother. It's refreshing to not have to have a tonne of drama because it wasn't needed. But was more so focused on the main characters with the drama being in the background sort of. I especially enjoyed the side characters! I love me some new faces especially in the form of a snarky fierce female and a windup merchant alpha!. Smoky and Sal brought that light humorous element despite the shitty situation and personal dramas I found myself so intrigued by them and what's to come with their stor(y)/(ies). I'm gunning for Jet!!! I want his story and I'm praying he's getting one!. (PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE) Because there is definitely more than meets the eye with him and I do love me an asshole alpha who's redeemed or even just finds someone to love him for all his assholishness. I also have a feeling he'd be my new favourite.. there's just something that's making me gravitate to him.
So round this shindig up I loved it!. It's not all a bed of roses but what story worth while is?. I love this world Jessica has created! It's so refreshing to have a magical place to go to escape the shitty reality. The plot is a slow burner that as far as I can tell will continue throughout the books. Whilst we get the main characters story and their part in this world it seems like the possibilities are endless right now which is exciting for the future.
Also that epilogue was so fucking sweet I can't even. I'm so glad they got that HEA the way they did and their story was perfect for them. I can't love it anymore than I do.

As goes this is a pretty light bdsm book so if you're new to reading them or in fact don't like them then I'd definitely suggest this one. I personally have a love hate relationship with bdsm stories because I want the women to take charge and push the limits. I HATE submissive/doormat heroines period. That's it.. I just cannot deal with them. subs and bdsm go hand in hand so for me it has to be that perfect balance and I only have a handful of authors who tick that box for me.
This isn't your stereotypical damaged characters trying to erase their past with pain type of storyline. It's a women who's finally ready to test the waters on all her untold fantasies and a guy who just like to take control.. not because he damaged or broken but just because it's what gets his cock hard. It's actually fucking great because for once it is solely about their pleasure not their past.
Adley is super cute. A strong independent women who knows herself, is fierce and honest but also has that touch of innocence. I really enjoyed her character growth throughout the story! I love how she didn't loose her personality in the process of finding herself in pleasure. She's super relatable and easy to love. I got her fears, connected to her emotions and rooted for her the whole way.
DOM/the man I shall not name. I must be honest and say that it was one thing that irked me.. how she found out his name. It should of been him to tell her, one very small complaint but it did frustrate me a teeny bit. I loved him though! He frustrated me to no end because I just wanted him to feel more..but I guess that was his journey and I loved the way it played out. Strong and confident he was cock sure but it suited him. He kept true to his character throughout and boy did he have that dirty talk down to a T! Like seriously... you may need a pantie change after this one because it's deliciously dirty in all the best ways.
So a wrap up.....
I really did love this! It's written seemlessly. It's super tasteful and stays true to the plot. It's experimental and fun but it's also relatable which makes it easy to connect to. The characters, the story.. its complex almost raw and unapologetic but it fits. I love this author so I knew I'd love this but honestly she blew me away. I love that it's original to her instead of falling into that typical bdsm trend that's flying about. I cannot wait for what is to come!!! So many possibilities it's exciting.

So many possibilities it's exciting....more

A is mine. Back off bitches.
Ok...
Now I've got that off my chest let me purge my thoughts.
Cary is everything I thought he'd be and then some. His sweet Loves and genuine respect for himself and others had me instantly loving his character. Despite being a criminal and biker the man takes care of himself and cares about the impression he leaves. It's nice to have a little change up in dynamics from these usually rough and ready no fucks given bikers. It was clear from previous stories that him being a bit older and more mature made him stand out but what I really loved is the older brother like relationship he has with Dezi. He was calmer, seemly more in control and just had that lived in feel about him but he could also be playful and full of banter and teasing which worked really well. Especially with his Dezi bromance.
Abigail. Oh lord she broke my heart. What a sweet utterly genuine character she is and in times like that I just wish she lived the life she deserved instead one that made her innocence turn to fear. I feel like she did a whole lot of growing in this journey and not in a unrealistic way either. Life hasn't been kind to our sweet girl and she learnt her lessons the hard way but it still didn't dull the light within her despite everything she's been though. She's the sweet kind of tough with a gentle soul and a kind heart.
I didn't expect Cary and Abi's back story but it was definitely a full circle heart warming kind of moment despite the circumstances. They had a sweet slow burn journey that had a tonne of tension and a whole lot of chemistry that built to delicious heights before they finally gave in to the inevitable and might I add what a fucking way to combust. I was swooning and sweating. Oh lord our sweet Abi turned into a wild cat and Cary most definitely didn't have pure intentions in those moments. But they are FIRE. Honesty they just had very natural connection that felt easy between them and it didn't matter what was happening around them, them together just fit and felt right. Even before there was anything sexual. However as their story devoloped and they started to get more comfortable I really enjoyed the teasing and playful banter. I loved that Cary brought Abi out of her shell and encouraged her to explore and grow on her own and truly made her feel safe and at peace with him. It really was a beautiful thing.
Oh and the side characters of it all.
Cary's bromance with Dezi is everything but also Dezi's sistership with Abi and the rest of the women? ... so fucking pure I love it. That man needs to be treasured. Add in Voss and well I'm not even going there with my thoughts on that because it's beyond sinful. But I loved them and all the rest of the characters. There is also some very interesting developments with the characters for future stories that I truly am so excited for and I feel like have the potential to change the path of the mc in the best ways. The possibilities are endless and so fucking exciting for sure and I am stoked to see where it all goes. But one thing I will say is I love these characters and the chemistry between them all. The banter and bickering. The love and support. It's just feel good and even when shit gets very crazy in these journies, getting back to the family feel this mc provides makes everything so much better.
So to wrap it...
It's quite an unpredictable story but it's not so action packed that it overwhelms you. There is lots of character development and some very interesting story and world building that will carry on through the next stories which is exciting and all kinds of teasing. It's so freaking sweet, a little heart breaking and at times absolutely hilarious. It's gives you all the feels in the best ways and most definitely leaves you wanting more for sure. I honestly can't wait for what's next but I'm also sad that I'm finished because Cary and Abi are the sweetest together!.
Until next time!!! xo

Camden and Annie's story is everything and more. I've been dying for Cam's story since the first peak of him.
Cam is my new favourite. I mean I know I say this every damn time but seriously he takes the cake. How can someone who's mute, someone who doesn't speak make you feel every kind of emotion as if he's spoken them. Cam is the kind of man who loves hard and protects harder. Despite him not talking he communicates in a way that you just know what he's trying to say. You feel him. He's gentle and loving to those that mean something and once he commits to you that's it.
Annie is the polar opposite to Cam in personality. I feel like I could connect to her in a special way because I see a piece of me in her. She talks.. I mean the girl can talk the head off you. She's sweet and caring and in need of someone to show her love and protect her. She has this infectious likability. Her rambling thoughts are adorable paired with that innocence she has made her so completely perfect for Cam.
These two fit so perfectly together it's almost as if they were made for eachother. Both of them running from a past they don't want to face with secrets they don't want to tell. Their story isn't crazy action packed. It's a slow burn romance that blossomed. They took their time opening up and discovering who they are as individuals as well as together and I feel like we really got to dig deep and peel back those layers. Their relationship is the absolute sweetest despite a few bumps in the road. The chemistry was fire from the beginning and only intensified as their relationship progressed. It was easy to feel that connection between them and believe in them.
The side characters as always as a fucking hoot in the Henchmen world. That la familia vibe and love between them all is palpable despite their many differences. The endless banter, bickering and crazy hilarious shenanigans will forever entertain you. You feel the love between them all. However there is always one side characters per Jessica's books that stand out and for me West is that guy!. I need his story like yesterday because I know that cheeky loving man has a past I won't see coming.
Just everything about this story I loved hard. A sweet romance with two people who deserve that once in life time kind of love. A story that kept me gripped in its clutches from the first page and characters that made me love them harder than I thought possible. Some heart break, a lot of love and laughter and some sinfully sexy time that will leave you all kinds of hawt and bothered.
Jessica continues to amaze me with her crazy talented ability to make me feel deep.
