Both spicy and sweet and filled with SO much banter. I went from sweating to swooning to laughing so hard. I smiled like a damn fool throughout this whole book. Hiking and forced proximity were a combination that I didn’t know I needed, but I absolutely did. I was sold pretty much on this alone, but then it just kept getting better?? I couldn’t stop smiling the whole time I was reading this book. Finn and Olivia are so sweet together and have such great chemistry. I loved the dynamic of their relationship, and all the ways they were messing with each other were so enjoyable to read. And the spice...more

Watching them share a second chance at falling in love with each other, seeing how the hero tried so hard to be the best dad he could be for the daughter he’d only just found out about and feeling how strongly the heroine supported her daughter through every new challenge they faced, and all that paired with beautiful writing really made this a truly wonderful read.

A beautiful, small-town love story between two people damaged by their pasts finding healing and love in a suspenseful but gorgeously emotional romance. Hunter and Piper form an easy working relationship that very quickly becomes a friendship. Day after day they work side by side, they open up to each other and find comfort and a strong connection with each other. There’s also a healthy dose of attraction, but Hunter has a rule never to date a client so he does his best to keep things professional. OMG, I love this romance! Hunter and Piper are so perfect for each other. Everything between them is easy and natural, from their work together, to walks along the beach, laughs, meaningful conversations, and comforting hugs, it’s all underpinned by this wonderfully building chemistry, and when they finally go there, it’s so gorgeous! There’s no angst or drama, they just follow their hearts, and it feels like a natural development of everything that is already between them. It’s the best kind of love story, and I reveled in every moment of it.

This is a beautifully emotional love story that captured my heart and swept me up in a world of swoon as two darkly traumatized characters find something incredibly special together, and then fight like hell to hold on to it. It’s another wonderful addition to the Wrecked series, and I loved it! God, I love these two characters! They’ve both been damaged by what they’ve been through, and there is a vulnerability to both of them, but there is also incredible strength. They’re both putting the past behind them and working to find joy in their lives rather than falling into a hole of despair, and I love that about them! And when it comes to accepting what’s happening between them, there’s no holding back.

Wrecked Palace is the third book in the Wrecked series, and these books keep getting better and better. Griffin and Caelyn were so right for one another, and their story was one that took me through highs and lows, but I loved every page. One of the things I love most about the books in this series is how they have everything you need in a plot; relatable characters, a hint of romance, some suspense, and the pure emotion that gets you feeling exactly what each character is going through. It’s a change to not have romance be the main focus, and I like it, it’s simmering in the background, but when it comes to the surface, it’s intense and real. Griffin and Caelyn built a solid friendship first before pursuing a relationship, helping each other in ways neither would’ve asked for out loud; Caelyn with the kids and being loved, and Griffin with opening his heart and letting others in.

Kenna and Crosby were introduced in the last book. Kenna is best friends with Bell (heroine of book #1), and Crosby’s very much one-sided flirtation with Kenna was an entertaining feature of the last book. So I was thrilled when I learned that they would eventually hook up and was so excited to read their story.

From the dialogue to the monologues, there's a very poetic feel to them. As for the art, it's just so sharp and clean and appealing to the eyes- I mean, the character designs are just such studs!! The characters themselves are also extremely well-written. They're likable and authentic- they garner your sympathy and you want to root for them until the very end. In this sense, the author absolutely nailed the mark because hardcore BLs usually disregard its characters, and Walk on Water subverted this cliche effortlessly.
That story walked so this one can fly. THIS was truly a standout in all the BL webtoons I've read (that's saying something because I've read a lot!), and it has already established itself as a classic in my mind (albeit a raunchy one, but a classic nonetheless hehe)....more

He’s handsome, mysterious, calculating, unpredictable, and stoic. There’s something about him that makes you drawn instantly and oh my god, I just love him. I love devouring every page I almost don’t want to finish and in this book, he finally meets his match. I was over the moon when I saw that we will get the story of every Horsemen. This right here is Kai’s story. Kai is an interesting character. Sexy, mysterious, rich, ambitious, and dark. I loved him. I liked his dark side.

How do you find meaning in the presence of loss? These questions are the foundation of Catherine Cowles’s beautiful story, Shattered Sea. Following Boden, a Hollywood mega-star, and Laiken, the small-town girl “etched in grief,” Cowles weaves a story about two people struggling with their scars who are drawn to each other from the day they meet. Cowles’s talent in romance is drawing stories strewn with angst; oftentimes, these are portraits of grief and trauma. She takes these problematic topics and wraps them in enduring romances with the heart of a small-town community. Stories such as Shattered Sea are “forever love” stories. Unfortunately, to get there, she must put her readers through their paces, and she does this in a big way in this newest book. There is always a villain, and most of the time she’s careful to avoid forecasting this character. I suspected the villain of this story, but I’ll be honest, it was a bit of a curveball, keeping me on my toes almost to the end of the book.
Catherine Cowles’ Tattered & Torn series has me in a chokehold, so you can imagine how desperately I was waiting for Shiloh’s book. And not a single minute of it was disappointing. We’ve been watching quiet and cautious Shiloh slowly find her strength through four books, so to have her be able to tell her story, see her fall in love and find the peace she’s been missing for so long was quite something. I’m glad I managed to read Shattered Sea before this, so I could meet Ramsey. I gotta say, when I saw him interacting with Boden, I imagined him to be a gruff old cowboy. But who he really is? So much better.

There’s just so With every book in the Tattered & Torn series, I fall more and more in love with Catherine Cowles’ writing and the worlds she builds. There’s just so much going on, so much to love and enjoy and at the heart of it, it’s stories about real people that captivate you from the moment you pick up a book. This series is a lot more emotionally nerve-racking than I thought it would be, but somehow that is what I love about it. The twists, turns, suspense, and unknown factors lurking in the darkness all tied together with a beautiful love story and family dynamics make for the perfect romantic suspense.

I am seriously loving the way this new series is going because of the Easton family and their tragedies, their wins and losses, and watching them fall in love is truly something so special. I loved Everly and Hayes in Tattered Stars, and knowing that we were getting a brother’s best friend, single dad, firefighter, and pining story next made me really giddy to get it in my hands. This is the start of a new series by Catherine Cowles, set on a small island off the coast of Seattle, for the small-town romance feel that I love. A beautifully emotional story of coming home and second chances, this book had me hooked from start to finish, and I loved it! Bell and Ford grew up together and were the best of friends. Even though he was a few years older than her, they were constantly together and were each other’s ‘person’. But when Bell was 16 her life was thrown into tragic chaos and Ford, the one person she needed to lean on, left town without looking back. Bell and Ford’s reunion is everything that I was hoping for. Bell is angry and devastated, and Ford is guilty and remorseful. It’s tense and emotional and full of all of the pain that is a constant part of both of their lives. They are no longer the carefree teens they were when they last saw each other, both changed by what they went through and their years apart, but Ford is determined to make amends for what happened in their past.
