"Helpful and Less Intrusive, But Notifications Need Improvement"
What do you like best about Motive?

It isn't as sensitive or as intrusive as I thought it would be. I can plug in my phone and not get yelled out which is nice and it's nice to have something that shows I am being a good driver. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Motive?

Sometimes there is certain events that I can't change and it still says something to me. I yawn every morning and it'll tell me I'm drowsy and to pull over or if I am driving and make a turn it'll say I braked too hard which can be kind of annoying. Also, it doesn't notify me when I have driving things to review, my push notifications are on and it would be nice if it actually told me when I have something to review vs having a supervisor email me and tell me to review my driving stuff. What do you like best about Motive?

I have grown to appreciate the capabilities of Motive's Dashboard. The ease of navigating through the various features that are available have made it very simple for myself and other users to hone in on a certain area of our fleet. Whether we need to locate a driver, adjust safety metrics, build reports, or drill down on data the ability to do so is always a few clicks away. For any confusion or questions that arise, the customer support behind the scene has been incredibly helpful and has never failed to respond to a topic. The ease of implementing the hardware in our vehicles has made the process very smooth as well. We began utilizing Motive less than a year ago, and I look forward the growth and efficiency of our fleet with their support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Motive?

What do you like best about Motive?

What do you dislike about Motive?

If i can tell something ill say that the color tones of the map are very muted, and the grayscale map can sometimes lead to confusion, i think it will be better if you inspire in google maps color tones scheme, i also want to add that other platforms show all the unit numbers of the fleet in the map in general view, while motive doesnt... it just show a few of the unit numbers of some vehicles not all of them. What do you like best about Motive?

Motive has proven to be highly valuable for our company, primarily due to its straightforward and efficient vehicle tracking capabilities. We depend on this tool multiple times a day, and it has become an indispensable part of our daily operations. It enables us to easily review the route history of our vehicles and monitor their real-time locations on the map. What do you dislike about Motive?

We have found it difficult to pinpoint the exact time a vehicle was at a certain location, and locating the precise spot on the map is also a challenge. When we try to view the history for a specific place, the program zooms out to show the whole route, which makes it harder to focus on just one location. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Motive?

Its easy to use. Things are where you would expect them to be. Very little training was needed before use. My drivers rarely come to me with question on the functionality of motive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Motive?

As any mobile app that rely on Bluetooth and cell service its not perfect. Drivers will occasionally report they can not get the device to pair to there assigned truck that day, when it worked fine the day before and works fine the next day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Motive?

Motive is simply a one stop shop for trucking software and equipment. Being able to track our trucks is just the start of what we can do with this software. We have been using Motive for about a year and still have not fully realized just how much information is offered. You can track fuel mileage across your whole fleet. Pick out which trucks are performing better than others. The forward facing camera has also qualified us for a lower insurance premium. They also have helped us dispute traffic incidents or accidents bc we have everything on camera. It gives drivers confidence that they will not be wrongfully accused of something they didnt do. The ELD for our semi trucks has been so much easier than ELDs of the past. It has cut down many hours for those in the office and also provides peace of mind knowing our drivers logs are correct and legal. Pricing is also among some of the best in the industry for what is provided. Customer Service has also been top of the line. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Motive Streamlines Driver Management, But Needs Linked Documents for Perfect Workflow"
What do you like best about Motive?

The ability to log, message, and upload supporting documents all in one place is highly effective. In my position as a Driver Care and Safety Coordinator, the feature that allows me to send Broadcasts to drivers—so I can share information without drivers seeing each other's responses—has proven to be extremely valuable. I also appreciate the detailed information I can access about drivers' logs and locations, thanks to the various filtering options and the compliance data provided within the app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Motive?

There are very few drawbacks to using the Motive app and website. The main issue I’ve encountered is that I need to open two separate windows in order to view logs and supporting documents at the same time. What do you like best about Motive?

Having used multiple platforms across truckload, LTL, and distribution venues, Motive offered an intuitive dashboard that is easy for non-fleet managers to learn and use. The AI does a great job of observing behaviors with good accuracy and has dropped our incident rate 50%, though we are only a couple months into full implementation. What do you dislike about Motive?

The lack of noon-to-noon log functionality and the ability to reassign multiple drive events if a driver does not separate from the vehicle at the end of shift and another driver moves the vehicle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent AI Tracking & Alerts, but Purchasing Bundles Could Be Easier"
What do you like best about Motive?

We really enjoy the AI camera tracking and quick alerts that allow us to know if issues arise both for our drivers as well as their driving practices. By getting the alerts we are able to respond to issues quickly and effectively. We use the software daily and have found it to be extremely helpful in our day to day operations. It's easy both to use and implement in to our routines current programs and the alerts come direct to email and we can be notified in seconds. What do you dislike about Motive?

Some of the issues we have had is with the customer support. As a business user, the shop can be a great quick way to purchase the equipment you need, however somethings that you should be able to purchase you can't without talking to your support agent. I believe it is a way to get you to upgrade services, and its understandable for a business to do. However it would be much easier if I can order camera and gateway as a unit the same way I can order the pieces separate. What do you like best about Motive?

What do you dislike about Motive?

I would like to see the updates come out a little faster. When they roll out new updates I think if they gave out those dates before hand would be beneficial. For example the new August 2023 Roll Out of new Drivers scores, we didn't know exactly when those updates were going to roll out, I had to reach out to support to get the answer.
