Introducing Thailand

Make the most out of your trip to Thailand
While Thailand is famed for its world-class cuisine and southern beach getaways on stunning karstic islands, the country also offers a rich cultural history as the only Southeast Asian nation to have avoided European colonial rule. The spectacular natural beauty in the north is also not to be missed, home to a third of Thailand's extensive network of national parks.

When is the best time to visit?
Thailand is best visited between November and February, the most popular time for travelers due to the reliably pleasant weather. It’s possible to travel to Thailand during summer months, but keep in mind that high temperatures, humidity, and heavy bouts of rain should be expected between April and October. Aiming for shoulder seasons can reward you with fewer crowds and lower prices, though the weather is less predictable. Learn more

Where to go in Thailand?
While you may be planning to spend your vacation lying on southern Thailand’s pristine beaches, there are priceless experiences to consider throughout the country. Make the long flight worth it by immersing yourself in Thailand’s nature and culture, learning about a different way of life and exploring the country’s unique landscapes.

The Thai islands are known to have their own localized weather systems, so make sure to speak to an expert as to which would suit your needs and fits best with your date of departure. Trekking and cycling can be great methods to get yourself into the rural communities of northern Thailand and experience the real heart of the country.

How many days do I need?
One week would give you plenty of time to get a good feel for one section of Thailand, but if you’re planning a more encompassing visit, then you would be better off planning for eight days to two weeks. This would give you enough time for some active adventures in the north before having a few days of relaxation down south.

A special mention to the guides at every location — they were absolutely amazing. Their knowledge, passion, and friendliness made every visit interesting and enjoyable. They shared so much useful information about the history, culture, and local life, which made the trip much more meaningful and memorable.

Some of our most memorable places included the stunning islands, beautiful temples, vibrant cities, and incredible landscapes we visited along the way. Every destination felt unique and special, and it was clear a lot of thought went into the itinerary.

Thanks to Hoa and the fantastic local guides, this trip was not just a holiday but an amazing experience we will remember for a long time. We would highly recommend Hoa to anyone planning a trip — truly outstanding service and organisation.

Felt that the cleaning of rooms and shared spaces wasn’t done thoroughly. We had had in our bath tub. And garbage sat outside a room in the hallways all day and an animal had gotten into it.

Hi Brandon, Thank you for your feedback! We're so happy you enjoyed most of your trip. I'm really sorry to hear about the trouble at Sunset Beach Resort with getting to the beach downtown. It sounds frustrating to deal with those transport issues and having to pay for local options multiple times, even at the shuttle stop. We'll share this with the team so we can check on better options or give clearer info to other guests staying there in the future. We're so glad the rest of the journey... Read more

Hi Brandon,

Thank you for your feedback!

We're so glad the rest of the journey was wonderful, especially your time with Leena in Bangkok.

Thank you again for telling us both the good and the not-so-good parts. It helps us improve!

We’d love to welcome you back to Thailand (or anywhere else in the world) soon!

Warmest regards,
Sandi

I'm giving this a four star only because I know we came in on the eve of the New Year. We did not like the location. The lobby rugs were not vacuumed well. The rooms were spit shine clean. The bar restaurant was fun but touted a view of the city. There was not. I would not stay here again and it would receive a 3 star review in a different season.

We liked this hotel. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast and good dinner, although the dining room is a bit institutional. Location excellent for connection with Tuk Tuk taxi and our guide for the day. Four star only because I likely would not choose it if I wanted to walk anywhere in the evenings.

Oh my goodness! What a luxurious escape this was. We did nothing for our three nights here besides sit by the pool and eat a the variety of restaurants they have in the resort. The only restaurant that was a big disappointment in menu and service was the one they tout a lot which is close to the ocean and has an ocean view. Seafood options for a seafood menu were minimal. We were told no reservations were required. They clearly were. Waiters were a bit harried and unfriendly, which was very unusual for this resort.

Loved this hotel. The only thing I have to say is that it's perhaps a bit out of the city to afford walkability. The restaurant needs updating and brightening, but the food and service was very good. There is construction noise across the river which of course is loud if you are trying to relax by the pool. But, it was a favored on this trip. Employees were so nice.

We really appreciated the location of this hotel. Very Clean. We do prefer a room with a dedicated shower over a tub as we never use tubs in hotels. The staff really did not have a person who spoke English well which made it a little difficult to communicate needs for restaurants, taxi service, massage places, etc. They were all very friendly. Excellent included breakfast.
