COMPANY AND MANAGEMENT
Overview
The Grow Ph Company is a creator of mobile application, it measures its
environmental impacts across the whole application lifestyle. The company's flagship
application is Grow Ph, that is available and can be downloaded both in IOS and
Android. And helps the earth in over 200 countries or territories. The Grow Ph
Company is headquartered in Baguio City, Philippines. After taking into
consideration the present problems that most people are facing. The team was able to
see that most students find it hard to focus on listening to their instructors who are
teaching through different online platforms. Since the instructors cannot see what
their students are really doing, the students are given too much freedom to do
whatever they please which now leads to students paying lesser attention to their
discussions and started prioritizing browsing on their social media accounts. The
same happens to career people since they are now not in the workplace setting and
now in the comfort of their houses with unlimited free time to open different mobile
applications, laziness and browsing online is the only thing that takes most of their
time rather than accomplishing their tasks.
Aside from the mentioned problem above that was observed by the team, they
have also noted another problem within their city, Baguio City. There are certain
private organizations who have promised to plant trees to replace the trees they will
cut in order to expand their business’ store. After their expansion project was
accomplished, this organization already forgot what they promised and chose to
create a garden that is way too far from what they have proposed. The team made
other researches and found out that there will be more cutting of trees that will
happen within the city as the local government tries to improve the city through
constructing various buildings and infrastructures. The team thought that tall
buildings and beautiful infrastructures are not the reason why the city of Baguio is
known by the tourists. They city’s green environment, cold weather and fresh air is
the reason why tourists visit the city. It is because of its breath-taking and natural

beauty that creates a calm and refreshing environment. This now led to the team’s
idea of creating a mobile application that will try to solve both problems.
Grow PH will be a partnership which will be comprised of partners and will look
for different partnerships with other institutions which will be our team in promoting
our advocacies. We will be connecting with different organizations (eg. orphanages),
which will be included in the application and the users may choose to donate on the
said organization through monetary terms or in kind. Our partners may be those who
want to participate in preserving our city’s beauty and contribute to creating generous
hearts.
To further introduce the Grow PH Partnership, the following are its mission,
vision, objectives and logo design brief explanation:

To create a healthy and green environment for the next generations to come and
help people prioritize and be more involved in building our future

A world where people are involved on giving more importance about preserving
and protecting our environment and know how to effectively manage their time.

Logo

The logo of Grow PH shows a sprout, which is the


second stage of a tree’s life. This represents the start of a new significant change that
the team is aiming to create. With this image, the team wishes to give the mobile
application users the idea that Grow PH will start a change from the young generation
which will soon be the foundation of our society with their help and efforts. Together,
we will protect our environment and start a new generation of trees which the future
generation of people will benefit from. We will start to teach the young generation the
importance of time management, focus and prioritization in this busy world filled
with distractions and destruction. The logo’s color is a mixture of green and brown.
The color of green, is the color of life, renewal, nature and energy, it is associated
with meanings of growth, harmony, freshness, safety, fertility and environment. With
the color green’s association with renewal, growth and hope, often green stands for
both a lack of experience and need for growth (Bourn, J., 2011). This color that is on
our logo both means the color of our environment that we are trying to save and our
hope for growth both in raising awareness and involvement of our youth to preserving
our trees and helping them learn the importance of focus and time management.
Harmony between the people and its environment is something we can all strive for.
Another color of our logo is brown. The brown color says stability, reliability,
dependability, and approachability. It is the color of our soil, growth, fertility and
earth. Brown is the color of the Earth and is comforting and nurturing. Brown

Partner: Adrian De Guzman
Grow PH: 2020 – Present
Description: Mr. De Guzman is a successful businessman who always invests on
different businesses/projects once he sees potential on it. He is a co-founder of
Grow PH where he acquired and hold 20% of the total partnership earnings. Mr.
De Guzman is admired for being a good investor and a risk taker. Also, he is
internationally recognized and respected as he continuously guide small
businesses/start-ups through financial and operational restructuring and transition.
Work Experienced: Handled advisory positions and resolving urgent
problems/situations where he implements rapid changes.

Partner: Ms. Aira Mae Dictaan, CMA


Grow PH: 2020 – Present
Description: Ms. Dictaan earned her bachelor’s degree in management
accounting from the University of the Cordilleras. She is a Certified Management
Accountant and the main partner who oversees the operations of Grow PH. She
worked in two different big firms and gained her five years of experienced in the
field of business abroad. She is known in the field for her good management and
leadership skills. It isn’t financial executives who can seamlessly shift gears to
help lead through the chaos while integrating companies to turnaround an
underperforming business unit. And lead a cross-disciplinary strategic
management teams. But the primary part of Ms. Dictaan, she is differentiated by
an uncommon complement of management accounting expertise combined with

strong business acumen, allowing her to view a business with a wide less then
narrow down to connect the dots, identify business drivers, understand complex
issues, take action and drive results. Moreover, Ms. Dictaan holds 20% of the
total earnings of Grow PH.
Work Experienced: Responsible for evaluating target markets and business
opportunities, responsible for developing the firm’s management strategies, and
successfully expanded the scope of the firms operations to include strategic
development advices.

Partner: Ms. Anne Dizon, CMA.


Grow PH: 2020 – Present
Description: Ms. Dizon is one of the co-founders of Grow PH who holds 10%
ownership of the total earnings of the partnership. She is a Certified Management
Accountant who graduated from the University of the Cordilleras. In a large
corporate environment in which decisions are often get bogged down in layers of
bureaucracy and good ideas whither while waiting for approval to execute, Ms.
Dizon is a standout. No one to sit by and wait for things to happen, she makes
them happen. All the while infusing the teams she leads with an infectious energy
and passion that empowers everyone to think big, set stretch goals. And then
pursue those goals with such intensity and focus towards unimaginable success.
Ms. Dizon was also a shareholder in a very influential corporation which can help
Grow PH to grow significantly.
Work Experienced: Key strategic management initiator and an operations
executive.

Description: Mr. Garcia is a Certified Management Accountant, a businessman,
and a co-founding member of Grow PH. He graduated from the University of the
Cordilleras. Mr. Garcia has been using his creative vision and excellent insights

into company’s management to enhance the flow of operations. As the vice


president for operations of Grow PH, his goal is to complement his sales and
leadership skills with strong foundation in business and management. In his spare
time, he enjoys giving back to the communities interested in continuing their
studies and beyond the field of business. Mr. Garcia owns 15% of the total shares
of Growth PH.
Work Experienced: Providing guidance to operations, providing business
advises on capital raises to clients and a manufacturing manager for five years in
abroad.

Partner: Ms. Beverly Madriaga, CMA


Grow PH: 2020 – Present
Description: Ms. Madriaga is a graduate from the University of the Cordilleras
and one of the founders of Grow PH who owns 15% of the total earnings of the
partnership. She is Certified Management Accountant who worked with one of
the biggest firms in United States. This helped her gain and enhanced her
knowledge on the field of finance. Thus this experienced she had led her the way
to become the vice president for finance of Growth PH. As she had three years of
experienced exercising finance overseas, Ms. Madriaga’s core competencies
expanded beyond the boundaries of a traditional financial executive which gave
significant impact to a company’s overall performance.
Work Experienced: Integrating financial and corporate functions into company’s
operations.

Partner: Mr. Arden Taltala.

Description: Mr. Taltala has been managing his own money since he was a child.
He owns several shares of stocks since he was a teenager. He studied economics
and finance in college, graduating at the top of his class for the University of the
Cordilleras. He is a well-known businessman and a co-founder of Grow PH. Mr.

Taltala is an expert where he has leveraging excellent investing strategies as well


as careful marketing research in order to direct the company’s economic needs
year by year. He holds 20% of the total earnings of Grow PH. He also owns
several businesses which can significantly contribute to Grow PH thriving.
Work Experienced: Meeting with members of executive committees to
determine the viability and cost of different project.

The partners will be the managers of the different departments or


functions within the partnership. In addition, the partners will also contribute
physical assets and expertise that the business will use during its starting
operations. Some of which that will be provided by the partners are first, Ms. Aira
Mae Dictaan will provide the office where the partners and their other employees
will be working. And second, Mr. Arden Taltala will provide the skills on
information technology to help in the technological processes of the mobile
application. These managers are responsible for controlling and overseeing the
entire organization. They will develop goals, strategic plans, company policies,
and make decisions on the direction of the business. The role of top management
is more than making decisions that affect all employees. It's also to set the bar for
the way managers treat the staff and relate to each other, which also affect the
success of the company.

Requirements:
- Proven experience as supervisor or relevant role

- Diploma/Certificate in first line management or relevant

Accountant
Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting transactions
- Prepare budget forecasts
- Publish financial statements in time
- Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Ensure timely bank payments
- Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
- Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
- Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
- Audit financial transactions and documents
- Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct
database backups when necessary
- Comply with financial policies and regulations
Requirements:
- Work experience as an Accountant

- Hands-on experience with accounting software like
FreshBooks and QuickBooks
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot

- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
- Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus
