RESOLUTION No. 006

RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE POVINCIAL GOVERNMENT THROUGH HON. JEREMIAS C.
SINGSON, GOVERNOR PROVINCE OF ILOCOS SUR TO PROVIDE TEN (10) UNITS OF ENGINE
HONDA MEGA Gx 390 AND TWO HUNDRED (200) PIECES SIZE 8 FISHING NETS TO BE USED BY
THE FISHERMEN OF BARANGAY DEAN LEOPOLDO YABES (PUG – OS), SINAIT ILOCOS SUR.
WHEREAS, Section 16 of the Local Government Code of 1991 empowers the Local government Unit to
enact ordinances and pass resolutions for the general welfare of the province and its inhabitants pursuant
to general welfare clause, and in particular the promotion of accessible roads for the rapid exchange of
products and services;
WHEREAS, residents of barangay Dean Leopoldo Yabes (Pug – os) their main source of living is fishing
wherein some of them have bancas but without Engines and other fishing equipment;
WHEREAS, after a thorough deliberation, the members of the sangguniang barangay and the Federated
Fishermen Association President approved the concensus of the said matter.
NOW THEREFORE, upon motion of Federated Fishermen Association President NESTOR Y. TALANA
and Sangguniang Barangay member, HON. FLORANTE A. PAGUD duly seconded by all, it was.
RESOLVED IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, to request the provincial government through Hon. Jeremias C.
Singson, Governor province of Ilocos Sur to provide Ten (10) units Engine Honda Mega Gx390 and Two
Hundred (200) pcs size 8 fishing nets with small lead sinker, small sandal float and monoline nylon to be
used by the fishermen of Barangay Dean Leopoldo Yabes (Pug – os) Sinait, Ilocos Sur for their daily costs
of living.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution shall be furnished to the office of the Provincial
Governor for his information and appropriate approval.
