The ultrasound pelvic examination of Ravali Pidugu reveals multiple uterine fibroids but no acute intra-abdominal abnormalities or adnexal collections. The uterus is anteverted with a normal endometrium thickness, and the left ovary appears normal while the right ovary is not visualized. The bladder is underdistended, and there is no free fluid present.

HISTORY: PPD #4 SVD with elevated WBC, fevers postpartum,


increased pelvic pain - please assess for any adnexal
collection

COMPARISON: Abdominal ultrasound June 9, 2019.

FINDINGS:

Transabdominal examination only was performed.

Uterus: Anteverted. The endometrium is smooth and 11 mm in


thickness, which is normal. Multiple uterine fibroids, as
follows:
* Posterior body subserosal measuring 3.5 x 4.0 x 2.8 cm
* Anterior body subserosal measuring 5.7 x 4.8 x 5.2 cm
* Right fundal subserosal measuring 2.8 x 2.8 x 3.3 cm
* Left lower segment subserosal measuring 3.3 x 3.3 x 3.9 cm.

Right ovary: Not seen. No adnexal collection.

Left ovary: Normal, Doppler flow seen. No adnexal collection.

Bladder: Underdistended.

Free fluid: None.

INTERPRETATION:
Uterine fibroids. No acute intra-abdominal abnormality to
explain patient's symptoms. No adnexal collections seen.
