                                 2
                        Materials and tools required:
1. Sewing machine
2. Fabric: (You can use any fabric that you like: cotton, linen, jersey etc.)
XS-S: 150 x 85 cm (60 x 35 inch) 1 yard
M-XXXL: 150 x 110 cm (60 x 45inch) 1.2 yards
3. Cord/ ribbons for ties (optional, or you can sew the ties yourself)
4. Threads which color fits the fabric
5. Printed templates (look the other file)
6. Chalk
7. Scissors
8. Pins
9. Iron
10. Measuring tape
*Before sewing the details together on the sewing machine, pin them or sew them
together by hands (basting stitch)

Step 1 – Cut out the pattern
Measure yourself and choose your size according to the table above. Choose the
templates that are appropriate with your size, highlight the corresponding lines with
a marker and cut the templates out (seams are already included). For example, my
size is S, so, that’s what I am highlighting and then cutting out (Picture 1).

Step 2 – Cut out the details
Place the templates on the fabric and cut the details out. Note that the bodice pattern
is a half of the detail. (Picture 2)

                                              5
                                     Step 3 – Sew ties
    * Or you can use cord/ ribbons instead of sewing the ties.
Fold a neck tie in half and press, then fold its lateral sides to the center, fold the tie
in half again and press. Fold one of the ends inside. Sew close to the edge. Sew the
second neck tie the same way. (Picture 3).
Put the waist tie details right sides together and sew them with 1 cm (3/8 inch) seam
allowance. Fold a waist tie in half and press, then fold its lateral sides to the center,
fold the tie in half again and press. Fold both ends inside. Sew close to the edge.

Step 4 – Sew cup details
Put the tie at the top of the cup. Then put two of the cups right sides together and
sew their lateral sides with 1 cm (3/8 inch) seam allowance, so that the tie’s end is
sandwiched between the cup details. (Picture 4)
Turn the cup out to the right side. Repeat the same for the second cup.

Step 5 – Sew the main part
Put the back and the front panels right sides together and sew their lateral sides with
1 cm (3/8 inch) seam allowance. Repeat for the lining detail. Mark the notches from
each of the front sides. (Picture 5)

                                                 7
Step 6 – Sew the cups and the main part together
Sew the lower sides of the cup detail together using a large stitch on your sewing
machine or a basting stitch (you can use threads of another color to remove them
later). Do not secure the sewing line; leave long tails.
Pull the threads to gather the lower side of the cup, ensuring its length fits between
the notches on the front main part. (Picture 6)
Place the gathered cups on top of the main part right sides down between the notches
aligning the edges. Then cover the main fabric part with a lining one right sides
together, so that the cups are sandwiched between and sew them with 1 cm (3/8 inch)
seam allowance: top edge, sides – leaving 1.5 cm (5/8 inch) from above and the
bottom leaving 7 cm (3 inch) opening. (Picture 7)

Step 7 – Turn the top out and sew the opening
Turn the top out through the opening left in the previous step. Fold the raw edges of
the opening inward by 1 cm (3/8 inch), press, and topstitch close to the edge to close
it up. (Picture 9)

Step 8 – Create a channel and thread the tie
Make a sewing line parallel to the upper edge 1.5 cm (5/8 inch) from above to create
a channel.
Attach a safety pin to the end of the tie and pull it through the channel.
Put on the top: tie the ties behind the neck, then gather the top around and tie the
front ties under the bust. (Picture 10)
